[Subscribe]_1 It was raining, the notebook had already sought shelter under a wooden board.

Jia Yan’s massive body was in the midst of these shrubs, bathing in rainwater.

Drop by drop, the rainfall dripped on his head.

In all the time since his rebirth, this was the first time he enjoyed the sensation of rain so peacefully.

This sensation was quite peculiar.

He, who should have splendid defenses, was feeling the rain.

This was different for Jia Yan, but he was still experiencing the rain’s touch.

Very peculiar.

It felt as if he was wiping dust off his soul.

Every droplet of rain seemed like a pearl agate, dripping down one by one.

Jia Yan looked up towards the sky overhead.

At this point, he could feel the coldness coming from the rain.

However, he could still bear it, and he wanted his body to remember this chilling feeling!

He roughly understood that his biological instincts would guide his mutation, like the time he was transformed after consuming the black liquid.

That was due to an explosion, followed by the collision of countless cave stones, so that’s why he transformed to have such strong defenses.

That period completely changed his life as a bug, relying on his mighty defenses till now!

So, Jia Yan wondered, if he let his body remember this feeling of cold, would he be able to resist the cold after the next mutation, ensuring a change in his biological instincts?

So, Jia Yan bore it.

If it weren’t for the imminent darkness, he’d have wanted to experience the ice-rain up above, to see just how cold it would be!

That would be useful in increasing his body’s ability to resist cold during his next mutation.

But now was not the time.

The sky was gradually darkening.

In the slowly dimming evening light, Jia Yan’s compound eyes gradually began to shimmer brilliantly!

Finally, when the sky was entirely dimmed!

The Giant Mosquito rose from the ground!

A pair of wings trembled slightly.

His compound eyes were still gazing into the distance at the research institute.

“Today is the day when I continue to harass them.

I hope that they won’t conclude my whereabouts in a few days.”

Jia Yan’s wings slowly unfolded.

He gently flapped them!

Buzz buzz buzz buzz!!!

The Giant Mosquito slowly rose from the ground, towards the sky where sleet was falling!

Whine whine whine whine!!!

He picked up speed.

The research institute was only several kilometers away!

For him now, he wouldn’t need more than a few minutes to get there.

Soon, the Big Mosquito flew to an altitude of two thousand meters, the point where the previous entity couldn’t reach.

At an altitude of around two thousand meters, he finally flew over the research institute!

The buildings of the research institute below were tiny.

After all, two thousand meters in the air was an extraordinarily high altitude!

Due to Jia Yan’s attacks, the research institute had completely shut down.

His plan to discreetly sneak in and investigate was impossible now.

He assumed the metal monsters he wanted to study were likely moved or hidden by the research staff!

But those things were irrelevant.

Something far more interesting had appeared in this place!

An entity or thing that assaulted him with a sonic attack, even close to making him faint!

That entity was undoubtedly powerful.

Not to mention the sound attack, even Jia Yan, who experienced it once, wasn’t sure he wouldn’t faint if he tried again!

Last time, Jia Yan felt that he was in a good state, or that his willpower was at its peak.

If it were another time, he wasn’t confident he could endure it!

Fortunately, having felt it once, Jia Yan wouldn’t let himself fall into such danger again!

Now he was flying at an altitude of two thousand meters.

Jia Yan guessed that the entity below, must have noticed his arrival, but it didn’t send that slice of metal to attack him again!

Jia Yan’s compound eyes were glowing brightly!

He was pondering whether the opponent had stopped sending out its metallic substance due to an energy shortage, or because there was only a fraction left and they didn’t want to give Jia Yan an opportunity to understand its properties, hence the decision to refrain from moving!

Jia Yan couldn’t figure out their thought process, but if the adversary doesn’t initiate an attack, then he’ll force the opponent to make a move!

The shine in Jia Yan’s compound eyes grew brighter!

He started to fly downward!

“You must have prepared well, not allowing yourself to be provoked by me because my only option is to attack you at close range, right?

As long as I dare to descend, you’ll definitely unleash your powerful sound attack, aiming to inflict severe injuries on me!”

Jia Yan was able to guess the opponent’s thoughts.

The fact was staring right back at him.

If Jia Yan wanted to attack this creature, then he must descend; but once he descended to a certain extent, it wouldn’t be him attacking the opponent, but the opponent could effortlessly launch its eerie ‘sound’ attack, severely damaging him!

But would Jia Yan rush ahead without preparation?

Clearly, he wouldn’t tolerate futile efforts!

So, he currently had two green-grey pebbles, shimmering lightly, each lodged in his forefeet!

Jia Yan continued to descend, smiling to himself.

Maybe, in its wildest dreams, the creature could not imagine that he, a mosquito monster evolved from Earth’s natural world, could also initiate a long-range attack!

Whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle whistle!!!

The speed of the Big Mosquito plunging downwards quickly broke the sound barrier!

His speed was getting faster and faster.

After reabsorbing a portion of himself with azure mutation effect near his hometown, his speed had raised to a new level!

Moreover, many similar instances of breaking the sound barrier and his optimized exercising of the technique using his wings had raised the level of his speed even higher!

In particular, during a dive, the power of Earth’s gravity acted in his favor, making his speed incredibly fast!

Boom boom boom boom!!

The strong wind caused by the Giant Mosquito swept through the surrounding air violently, leading to air oscillations that formed a kind of shock wave.

Jia Yan couldn’t estimate his speed during the dive as he had nothing for comparison, but he was sure that his speed had definitely exceeded 2000 kilometers per hour!

A dive at such speed allowed him to reach the 2000-meter ground almost instantly!

Jia Yan had to remind himself not to reach the ground directly!

He also must not fly lower than 100 meters!

That was where the opponent had an upper hand!

“1300 meters!”

“1000 meters!”

“700 meters!”

“300 meters!”

Finally, he was about 200 meters above the ground!

Jia Yan seemed to hear a massive howl echoing strenuously in his mind!

However, at this moment, he struck a green-grey pebble with one of his legs, discarding it entirely!

Then he desperately controlled his body, making an upward U-turn in mid-air!

But such enormous diving force, accompanied by swift speed, made his incredibly flexible body still descend to around 150 meters before he could feel the force pulling him upward!

And at this 450-meter height!

Whine whine whine whine!!!—————

The extremely sharp noise almost made Jia Yan fall headfirst directly!

However, at this moment, Jia Yan had a strong motivation, pushing himself to keep on flying!

He had pulled through last time, and this time he didn’t even fall to the ground.

Was there any reason he couldn’t persevere?

Last time was crazier than this time, yet he still pulled through.

There’s no reason he can’t endure this time!

The ruthlessness in Jia Yan’s compound eyes was extremely conspicuous!

So at the moment when he was hit by this force, his body merely shook a bit, and then, he continued to fly forward!

As for the discarded green-grey pebble, it had flown towards the building where Jia Yan believed could potentially be the ‘creature’s’ hideout as per its programmed route!
