Some of the bigwigs left this metropolis overnight.

Jia Yan could not have imagined that his simple act of helping his family would trigger such an enormous chain reaction.

Also, Jia Yan once again appeared in front of his younger sister.

Although he promised the two assassins not to tell his parents about the appearance of the Giant Mosquito, after Jia Lin returned to her temporary residence, her abnormal behavior still made her parents feel suspicious.

The two assassins claimed that they had pulled Jia Lin back before the little girl reached any dangerous areas.

However, this couldn’t explain why Jia Lin had been glued to the television all night long, unable to take her eyes off any news about the Giant Mosquito.

The Giant Mosquito made it into Shanghai City today!

The two elders of the Jia family looked at each other in surprise while watching the news.

The matter of the Giant Mosquito monster seemed to have been related to their itinerary right from the start!

Although the two elders were not professional intelligence veterans, the fact that the Giant Mosquito monster kept appearing wherever they went was enough to pique their interest!

However, this could also be mere coincidence.

After all, there were numerous people in Shanghai City, and it was quite normal for the Giant Mosquito to appear here.

They had only come into close contact with the Mosquito monster while at the hospital.

Thus, after a brief discussion, the couple decided not to dwell on it any further.

Only the two assassins and Jia Lin knew in their hearts that they had a super bodyguard helping them on this outing, and without the Giant Mosquito monster, Jia Lin would have been in genuine danger during the day!

“Eh, Sister Xiaoqi is talking to me!”

In the middle of the night, Jia Lin received another message on her QQ mobile app, and it was from her Aunt Xiaoqi.

The message stated that Aunt Xiaoqi had been rescued by the police and that Jia Lin should not believe the daytime news.

Those people were all villains!

Upon seeing this message, Jia Lin smiled faintly.

She saw Aunt Xiaoqi stating that after the investigation was over, she planned to leave Shanghai City and return to her hometown.

She didn’t wish to meet with Jia Lin, and they could meet again if fate allowed.

After reading this, Jia Lin found herself laughing and crying at the same time.

She wasn’t sure why she was crying.

Perhaps it was delight over Aunt Xiaoqi’s rescue?

Or sadness at her unwillingness to meet?

In any case, it was a bitter-sweet feeling.

It seemed that the young girl had grown up quite a bit in a single day.

People have to experience all kinds of things to grow up.

After stirring things up in Shanghai City, Jia Yan once again flew out of the city’s limits.

No one knew why the Giant Mosquito monster had come to Shanghai City for just a few tens of minutes.

Was it purely to kill those few humans?

This seemed unlikely, as if the Mosquito monster wanted to kill a human, it would be quite straightforward.

Besides, there was no apparent grudge between the monster and those humans, so why kill them?

Therefore, the matter remained an eternal mystery.

The true reason only he himself and the two assassins might know.

And when night fell again, and it was deep into the night…

Jia Yan returned once again to the silent small village.

His laptop bag was still safely hidden, and he took out his computer.

This device had weathered through storms with him; he felt rather attached to it as it had assisted Jia Yan a lot on his journey.

The laptop now showed many signs of use.

After all, due to the Giant Mosquito’s large body size, the computer was frequently scratched by its sharp forelegs, leaving it scarred.

In the past, Jia Yan only used the computer when he had urgent business, and didn’t have time to take care of it.

But that night, he felt that he could take some time to relax and browse news online, so he handled it with extra care.

Feeling extremely accomplished after completing his work, the Giant Mosquito acted a bit lazily that day.

Little did he know that there were two university students in Shanghai City who were very sensitive to his activities.

They sprung into action immediately after seeing the latest news about him!

These two students, who had a fair amount of contact with Jia Yan, still firmly believed in the theory that the giant mosquito monster they saw was the same one all along.

They were initially prominent online researchers on the giant mosquito monster.

They seemed to be intricately linked with it, hence as the giant mosquito grew increasingly famous and powerful, their popularity also surged on the internet!

“The Giant Mosquito’s appearance this time is certainly intentional.

He came to Shanghai City, our city, so we will be closely watching his actions.

If possible, we will take some measures to prove that this giant mosquito is the same one we previously described!”

After typing this message, Ye Tongyu immediately pressed the “Enter” key to send it.

Their group of Giant Mosquito enthusiasts, or observers, had a small online community comprising all sorts of people.

Most of them had read the two students’ articles from the beginning and believed their theory, citing the mosquito’s actions that gradually coincided with the students’ conjecture.

That is to say, they firmly believed that this mosquito monster, which they’ve observed intensively for several months, had grown from the size of a hand palm into a gigantic monster that was over two meters long with wings spanning five or six meters!

Not to mention traditional biologists, even the general public would find it hard to believe such a thing!

Thus, after their theories sparked some discussions online initially, nobody paid attention to them anymore!

As for Ye Tongyu, she still staunchly maintained their small circle, and her words were regarded as directives within that group.

As a recent university graduate, she had even obtained an internship with the biggest news media in the country.

However, because of the attack by the metal monster, her family didn’t want her to become a frontline reporter, so she had to postpone her employment.

Now, she spent her time chatting with Giant Mosquito enthusiasts online all day, effectively making her unemployed!

On the other hand, Zhang Shiming, a young biologist, was in the same predicament.

Lately, he had been spending a lot of time with Ye Tongyu and it appeared as though something was brewing between them.

“The Giant Mosquito has arrived in Shanghai City.

However, it has suffered a severe injury to its wing.

Have you seen it?

The wing injury seems to be a penetrating wound that neither a metal monster nor humans can inflict.

So, what has it fought with?

If it’s a newly emerged threat, we must investigate to raise a broader public awareness!”

Looking at the various witnesses’ photos of the Giant Mosquito on her computer screen, Ye Tongyu fell deep into thought.

She was accompanied by Zhang Shiming, who came to her dormitory as soon as he heard about the Giant Mosquito’s appearance in Shanghai City.

Ye Tongyu’s roommates seemed to have gotten used to this man’s presence.

The pair seemed to be possessed, spending each day researching the Giant Mosquito.

There was something off about calling them a couple.

They were just two oddballs.

“Let’s go and investigate the Giant Mosquito tomorrow.

I have a few doubts about today’s battle scene!” Instead of looking at the beautiful girl in front of his eyes, Zhang Shiming was engrossed in the computer screen.

“Sure thing, let’s go together!” Ye Tongyu agreed without questioning his doubts.

After talking for a while, Zhang Shiming excused himself as it was getting late.

“Tongyu, you guys still haven’t taken that step yet!

I’m done with you two.

It’s been several months!” One of Ye Tongyu’s roommates couldn’t help but express her exasperation after she saw Tongyu escort Zhang Shiming out.

“Which step are you talking about?

I’ve said it before, we don’t have that kind of relationship.

Besides…he might not even like me.” Even as Tongyu responded, her face flushed a deep red.

“Oh, you two with your blockheads!” said her roommate, shaking her head.
