Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

The bearded man was surprised at first and wanted to say it was impossible.

How could someone with this kind of skill not be a professional assassin?

But on closer thought, many of the man’s actions were suspicious and didn’t conform to the style of an assassin.

Of course, he was cautious, overly so, even!

But all these could not hide his immaturity in some behaviors and details.

If you say he is not a professional assassin, there might be a bit of a possibility.

So the spectacled young man suggested, “Let’s try to get him into our organization.

We might even be able to team up with him in the future and form the strongest small team within the organization.”

The bearded man was a little tempted.

Having such a strong companion would definitely improve their strength immensely.

Shortly after, a line of reply appeared on the screen of Jia Yan’s laptop.

“Glad to see you again, what kind of information do you need?

We’ll do our best to help you.”

Seeing that the other party didn’t drag their feet in replying, Jia Yan felt a surge of excitement.

If they never came online again, then Jia Yan’s search would have to take a big detour, and it was even possible that he wouldn’t find anything at all!

Thumping away at the keyboard with half an eraser!

“You should know about the Northeast Wild Tiger right?

I’m trying to find his drug factory.

If possible, I hope for your help—I’ll owe you a favor…”

The Northeast Wild Tiger?”

The two assassins in front of the phone screen looked at each other.

They had been suspecting that the man was not an addict.

After drawing their attention by claiming to be an addict on the first day, he never pretended to be an addict again.

They had guessed a long time ago that he was not an addict, but neither of them mentioned it.

Now, however, he directly asked about the whereabouts of the Northeast Wild Tiger.

As an addict, wasn’t he following the Northeast Wild Tiger?

With no shame, he contradicted himself—did he have any integrity left?

They didn’t know that Jia Yan found typing tiring and didn’t bother to explain if he could avoid it.

The two men deliberated in Hawaii, then the spectacled young man solemnly nodded and said, “Let’s help him check in the organization.

If we want to become partners with him, we can’t refuse to pay even this small price, can we?”

“Alright.” The bearded man switched the phone screen to the home page, then dialed a number!

“Hey, Vivian.

Help me check some information…”

“Oh, okay, okay, hahaha, next time you come back, you must accept my dinner invitation, okay?

Hey, don’t hang up…”

The bearded man put down his phone, grumbling without much enthusiasm, “Always refusing, and now hanging up on me.

Vivian, you wait for me!”

The spectacled young man chuckled lightly.

A little while later, Jia Yan received a response.

“The intelligence system of our organization mainly focuses on other countries, so we don’t have much information on the Northeast Wild Tiger, who is a new emerging power leader in China.

However, we have a rough idea about his so-called factory which is located deep in the Changbai Mountain Ranges.

I can send you a roughly drawn map of the area.

If our organization’s information is correct, the Northeast Wild Tiger’s factory is within this range.”

Before Jia Yan could respond, a hand-drawn map appeared on QQ.

It was clear that whoever drew this map was skilled; a few strokes were all it took to rough out the shape of Jilin Province.

A certain corner of the southeast area of the province on the map, the area bordering North Korea, was circled several times in black.

“The Northeast Wild Tiger’s factory is on the border?”

Jia Yan was puzzled but still said his thanks, “Your information has been a great help to me.

I thank you.

Goodbye.”

He was about to close QQ when a reply from the other party left him stunned.

“Hold on, are you not actually Addicted?

Now that we’re friends, please tell us your code name.

At least it’ll be easier to call you by that in the future!

I’ll tell you ours first; my code name is ‘China Beard.’ You can call me Beard.

Xiaoyao’s code name is ‘Eaglet.’ And you?”

Code name?

These people really are quite fancy…

Jia Yan thought for a moment and typed two characters.

“Mosquito!”

The character for ‘mosquito’ is a combination of the characters ‘insect’ and ‘pattern’ so it’s easy to understand.

Jia Yan didn’t want to interact with these two assassins more than necessary, so he didn’t wait for their reply and logged out of QQ.

His suddenly offline avatar left the bearded men on the other side of the ocean exchanging wry smiles.

They had been halfway through typing a message, trying to probe a little before asking him to join.

They reluctantly had to delete it character by character.

“These two might not tell me the truth about the Northeast Wild Tiger, but since they’re willing to maintain a relationship with me, there’s a certain degree of credibility to this information.”

“Well, it’s not like I have any other information!

At most, it’s a waste of some time!”

Jia Yan decided to check out the places marked by the circles.

After closing QQ, he chose to open a web search page map, to see what those circled places are.

Also, he decided to search online to see what transportation options are available to get there.

“Luckily, the points are all quite close, all seem to be within a county town near the border, called Tumeng City.”

As Jia Yan was browsing the information on the web page, he gathered an overall understanding of this border city, the more data he looked at.

The circled areas on the map appeared to be situated in the hilly, densely bushed northeastern part of Tumeng City with abundant forests.

It is very secretive to open a so-called factory in the Northeast Wild Tiger region, especially since it is near the border with a complex environment, which could help in shaking off some troubles.

In terms of strategic vision, it’s pretty smart!

“Great!

Luckily, I’m already in Jilin province, and I can get to Tumeng City quickly by train!”

Jia Yan finally finished going through the data.

He did his best to memorize a few pieces of information in his mind.

There was no other way, as he was just a mosquito, unable to use a notebook or a cellphone to keep a diary.

He had to remember all the information in his head.

After doing all this, Jia Yan’s compound eyes flashed!

“Nearly two days without blood, I’m a bit hungry…”

He began to delete all his chat logs, browsing history, QQ login records, and other information.

Immediately after, Jia Yan’s wings started to flutter!

The mosquito’s body took flight, its black gloss under the illumination of the computer screen seemed quite mysterious.

He flew towards the room of the two house owners who were sleeping together…

Blame it on your intense passion for not only leaving the balcony door open but even the bedroom door.

Isn’t this just inviting mosquitoes to bite you?

Jia Yan thought naughtily.

However, he was also certain that after feeding on the CHr-379 virus, if he sucked clean water twice and spit it out, it would be like cleaning his digestive system and mouthparts.

He wouldn’t cause any viral harm to humans, Yu Yuan was his test subject.

While poisoning Yu Tao, Jia Yan had tried ‘rinsing his mouth’ with clean water, the next day he bit Yu Yuan, who didn’t show any reaction at all.

Thus, Jia Yan could pretty much guarantee that he would not spread the virus or anything harmful to humans.

Of course, there are certain exceptional cases.

If there was indeed an unfortunate infection or something, Jia Yan couldn’t help it.

One could only say that the person who got bitten was unlucky!

He is now a mosquito, he couldn’t just not suck blood, right?

Not surviving?

Feeding on plant juices, he was sure, wouldn’t be able to keep up with his energy consumption, only blood could give him strength!

As for cleanliness, he tried his best.

Jia Yan believed he did well enough.

Not long after, the bedroom was filled with cursing and the light turned on.

The male owner, wearing shorts, jumped onto the balcony and shut the door tightly.

But before that, a plump, black, huge Chinese Anopheles mosquito that had its fill had already flown away from the balcony door, heading straight for the high sky!

“Sorry…” Jia Yan smiled inwardly as he soared across the sky.

He returned to the top of the sunshade.

The small bottle of CHr-379 virus solution was still placed in its original position, untouched.

Jia Yan sighed quietly, today’s mission was accomplished.

His decision wasn’t wrong, the Northeast Wild Tiger must be a northerner.

So he went to the ‘Ji’ province in northeast without interrogating the two assassins first, took a long train ride to get here.

The two assassins should have safely escaped by then.

This way when he caught up and asked them, he can set off right after getting the news from them.

This saved the time it would have taken to travel from Shanghu to the northeast, thus a lot of time was saved.

As for whether the information from the two men was accurate, and whether they deceived him, he had to go and see for himself.

It’s at least better than him looking for the factory himself, right?

Jia Yan reviewed his thought process and felt it was correct.

But it’s already late today, after a long journey, Jia Yan decided to rest for a night in Yongchun, the capital city of the province.

Tomorrow, he would set off for the border town, Tumeng City, to find the factory of the Northeast Wild Tiger!
