[Please Collect] _1 The once bustling international metropolis seemed to be struck by a whirlwind these days, making it even more lively!

Police cars zoomed around.

News vehicles dashed about.

Many people wore expressions of shock upon seeing this unusual convoy.

The television news van hurried to the scene.

A graceful and beautiful female reporter picked up the microphone with a solemn expression and said before the camera, “According to exclusive news from our station, the young man who was kidnapped and killed was only twenty-four years old.

He was Yu Yuan, the son of Yu Tao, the wealthy businessman who died mysteriously a few days ago.

Whether there is any connection between the deaths of the father and son, the police are investigating!”

Usually empty streets surrounding the unfinished building were now filled with vehicles.

A middle-aged man wearing a safety helmet seemed paralyzed with fear as he was surrounded by the police and reporters, stuttering, “I w-wanted…wanted to go in to use the bathroom this morning, then I saw someone tied up and bleeding a lot inside, so I called the police…

Officer, I really have nothing to do with this!”

The news of the missing heir to the Yu family fortune found dead in an unfinished building was sending reporters flocking to the usually quiet construction site like sharks towards a drop of blood.

“According to our reporters, this group of buildings was claimed to be another economic pillar of the city five years ago, but now they’ve become what they are due to various reasons.

So, what’s the mystery behind this kidnapping?

What kind of people did Yu Yuan, the wealthy second-generation, offend to be treated like this?

Please stay tuned for our continuous reporting!”

At the crime scene, several forensic police were conducting a preliminary examination of the young man’s corpse.

“Preliminary judgment is death caused by internal bleeding, he was beaten for at least three hours before death, the perpetrator is likely experienced,” a young police officer said after taking evidence photos and checking over the body.

“Why are there so many lumps on his neck?

Are there so many mosquitoes here?” He frowned puzzledly.

“Take a photo of it.

It might hold some clues,” another middle-aged officer quickly reminded.

Of course, even these police wouldn’t possibly know that the lumps they saw were actually caused by the real murderer – a reincarnated human!

This story is too fantastical, who would believe it in this modern era.

“My son!

Let me in to see my son!” Wails of a woman came from outside, but she was firmly restrained by the police who were keeping the order.

The Yu family has arrived!

“What exactly happened?” Among the members of the Yu family, a young man, rough-hewn and weary from travel, has just arrived in Shanghai City.

His eyes were filled with a vicious glint.

This young man looked very much like Yu Yuan, yet he looked slightly older.

Unlike Yu Yuan who gave off the impression of a profligate, this young man gave off a lean and tough impression, resembling a qualified soldier.

“Yu Long!

I can’t live anymore, your uncle and cousin are dead.

I can’t live without them!” The woman grabbed onto the arm of the young man, wailing incessantly.

“Rest assured, aunt.

I will avenge cousin’s death.

In a few days, I’ll quit my job with the French Foreign Legion Mercenary Corp to investigate Uncle and Yu Yuan’s cause of death!” The young man quickly calmed the woman, his eyes filled with vengeful determination.

The French Foreign Legion, the most famous mercenary organization in the world!

They have proven their strength in numerous battlegrounds starting from World War I, up through World War II and the Franco-Prussian War.

Every soldier coming out of this army was a strong one!

…

The turbulence in Shanghai city had no impact on the journey of a particular mosquito.

When the city of Shanghai began to shake tumultuously, this mosquito had already set off on its journey!

Clank-clank-clank…

Once again on a train heading towards the Northeast, Jia Yan quietly hid near a trash can in one of the carriages.

Having had the experience from last time, taking the train again was familiar to Jia Yan.

“I’ve really left.” Watching the city slowly recede in his sight, Jia Yan felt a wave of sentimentality.

To him after rebirth, this was the place where he had fulfilled his greatest wish and said goodbye to his past.

He had killed his enemy, Yu Yuan, bid farewell to the university campus, and ended his naive infatuation.

The city would no longer hold special significance for Jia Yan.

At least not as important as it was right after his rebirth.

The only place he would remember and cherish now was his hometown!

Unfortunately, he was not yet in a position to triumphantly return to his hometown.

Having seen his family in Shanghai City, returning to his hometown was not urgent.

The first thing he needed to do was to increase his lifespan again and become much stronger!

“This time I brought the rest of the CHr-379 virus with me.

With such a big bottle along with my size, the possibility of being discovered by people would be greatly increased, so I must be extremely careful on the train!”

The thought of recklessly bringing the remaining virus potion onto the train filled Jia Yan with a heart-racing sensation of terror.

With the potion, his flight speed slowed down significantly.

It was only because he took advantage of the usual maintenance period of the train last night, carrying the potion under cover of darkness, that he was able to sneak into the carriage.

Otherwise, boarding the train with the passengers would definitely have exposed him!

“Getting off the train will be problematic.

I can only wait for the train to once again reach its terminal, when the passengers disembark and the train begins its maintenance.

That’s when I’ll find an opportunity to get off…”

Jia Yan glanced at the bustling train full of passengers, and could not help but retract his head a little deeper into the crevices of the rubbish bin, hiding himself even more.

Next to him, the bottle containing the CHr-379 virus potion, was just sitting there.

His icy compound eyes watched the passengers and train stewards walking around.

“My last mutation was caused by the Northeast Wild Tiger’s so-called ‘antimicrobial peptides’ potion.

Regardless of whether the potion actually contains antimicrobial peptides or not, it certainly has an effect on me.”

“So…

my plan to become stronger this time is quite simple!

I need to find the Northeast Wild Tiger’s ‘factory,’ then try their potion again to see if it can still affect me!”

Yes, Jia Yan’s plan to extend his life and become stronger revolved around the Northeast Wild Tiger’s ‘antimicrobial peptides’ potion.

A normal mosquito reaching his current level could be said to have reached its limit.

To advance further is simply not possible!

He longed for an extended lifetime, to become stronger, to have more time!

He wanted to return home, to see his family and familiar things again!

With so much he desired to do, he needed to have life and physical strength!

And the only choice Jia Yan could make to extend his life and enhance his physique was this!

That is, to find the Northeast Wild Tiger’s potion factory and test whether their Mutant Potion could cause a second mutation in him!

“But there are still many problems with this.

I must first find the location of the Northeast Wild Tiger’s factory.

As they regard the potion as something essential for attracting the addicted, the location of their factory won’t be easy to find.

At least ordinary people wouldn’t know it.”

“What should I do?”

The train was rumbling along.

This train was not the express one Jia Yan had taken before, its speed was slower, and its ticket price was lower.

As a result, there were more stops along the way, and many more passengers getting on and off.

Jia Yan squeezed into the gap of the rubbish bin, quietly observing the situation outside.

At this moment, the stark reality of his transformation into an insect became even more profound.

No matter how noisy human beings were, he was alone, hiding in the crevices.

The hustle and bustle outside seemed to have nothing to do with him.

Outside was extreme noise, but here, he was in the utmost quiet.

It felt a little lonely and a little bitter.

The taste of it, only the person involved could understand.

The journey of more than thirty-six hours over two days was incredibly lengthy.

Within the train, only a few passengers accompanied him.

Starting from the Shanghai terminal, all the way to a northern city of Huaxia…

The Spring City in the Northern Country, the capital of Jilin Province, Yongchun City.

To be continued.
