Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

12: Chapter 12 Negotiations on the Train 【Please Collect】_1 12: Chapter 12 Negotiations on the Train 【Please Collect】_1 Though he spoke with confidence, when it came to actually putting things into action, Jia Yan was still clueless…

The idea of a mosquito seeking revenge on humans, and a male mosquito at that, was truly challenging.

Thinking about the international metropolis he would reach in just ten hours,

Thinking about his biggest goal in this reincarnated life, and his greatest desire before his short life ran out, which was getting closer and closer to him.

Jia Yan was growing anxious, as he still didn’t have a feasible plan.

“There are many difficulties to spreading a virus, but I will try any method that seems effective, even if I end up dying with Yu Yuan!” Jia Yan solidifies his belief!

When he flew into the passenger carriage, almost all the passengers were already aboard.

This carriage was entirely for seating.

New passengers enter the carriage, some finding their seats, others stowing away their luggage.

Each carriage is bustling with activity!

However, the train had already started moving slowly.

Express trains are all about saving every minute, every second!

Jia Yan first controlled his body, clinging tightly to the wall in an inconspicuous corner.

When the effect of the train’s initial acceleration wore off and everything gradually quieted down,

He took flight from his seemingly unnoticed corner…

“Mama, there’s a mosquito!”

Unexpectedly, a little girl around seven or eight years old spotted Jia Yan with her dewy eyes and shouted.

Uh…this shout from the little girl startled Jia Yan and he almost fell on the floor.

I say little girl, seeing me is one thing, but shouting about it?

If I were to die because of you, even as a ghost I would trouble you!

Jia Yan instantly flew higher, landing on the luggage rack where his body was concealed by the pile of luggage.

Of course, in such a space, no one really cares about a mosquito.

They might swat at it if it flies up to their face, but to climb up to the luggage rack to kill a mosquito?

Regardless of whether they could reach or not, they would definitely be seen as a weirdo!

So, fortunately, Jia Yan wasn’t subjected to further pursuit.

“This means that this carriage absolutely won’t do.

More passengers mean more potential dangers, and the air quality is also poor!”

Jia Yan, being a mosquito, could sense the presence of carbon dioxide and various scents.

He could now detect a mix of various odors in this carriage, both harmful and harmless, which were almost suffocating him!

“To the sleeper carriage!”

The noise of the crowd below began to decrease.

Some started to look at the scenery, some started playing on their phones, some even began to doze off.

Jia Yan started his wing flaps, sticking close to the top of the carriage as he quickly flew out!

At this height, it was unlikely for any human to reach.

Even if there was someone as tall as Yao Ming, they would be unlikely to leap up and swat at a mosquito under the public eye, right?

Hence, passing through a crowded carriage was relatively safe.

During this time, some people did notice Jia Yan zooming by.

They only spared him a glance at most.

There were countless insects flying around everywhere, all day, every day.

People struggled to kill the mosquitoes in their own bedrooms, so who would care about this fast little creature passing by?

Thus, Jia Yan had managed to fly through several carriages.

“Soft sleeper!” Finally, he found what he was looking for.

The soft sleeper carriage had four beds in one room, fewer people, and relatively cleaner air.

Jia Yan surveyed the separate rooms in the soft sleeper carriage, if he found an environment suitable, he would quietly sneak in when someone opened the door.

At the same time, not far from Jia Yan, inside a soft sleeper carriage on the train.

Two men sat across from each other!

Besides them, there was no one else in the soft sleeper compartment.

These two seemed like ordinary travelers with their pieces of luggage.

Anyone who pays a bit more attention, however, would realize their belongings were too few and too light for usual travelers.

Clearly, these were just for show!

“Northeast Wild Tiger, you did bring what you promised today, right?”

The speaker was the thinner of the two.

He was emaciated, with sunken eyes and pronounced cheekbones.

Paired with his dark, cold eyes, he sent chills down one’s spine.

“Renowned ‘Addicted’ asking me to bring something, dare I disobey?

But you should understand how precious these antimicrobial peptides are, right?”

The man known as ‘Northeast Wild Tiger’ was a typical burly northerner, over 1.9 meters tall with bulging muscles.

His biceps alone were as thick as the entire arm of his thin companion.

However, from the conversation, it seemed that the Wild Tiger was rather wary of ‘Addicted’, mentioning that he dare not disobey his request.

“Of course, I know how valuable the antimicrobial peptides are, especially the rare kind you have, right?

My friends have mentioned it before.

Now, I just want to know, on what conditions can I have these peptides?” A look of desire was visible on the gaunt face of Addicted.

“Hold on, let me see if it’s safe outside,” the Northeast Wild Tiger stood up, a derisive smile tugging at his lips.

He intentionally sneered for Addicted to see.

Tiger stood up and opened the door of the sleeper cabin.

He pretended to scan the surroundings leisurely for any sign of danger.

But he knew damn well the room was safe!

Days ago, some of his henchmen had ridden in this sleeper cabin, thoroughly inspecting it for devices such as bugs.

Now, the cabins surrounding their one were all full of his minions!

What Tiger was trying to do was to make Addicted sweat a bit, to make him understand– Tiger wasn’t begging him for anything.

He needed Tiger’s medicine – it was he who was begging Tiger!

“Ah, this compartment looks nice!

Only two people inside and both are non-smokers.”

But what ‘Northeast Wild Tiger’ didn’t know was that when he needlessly opened the cabin door…

a male Anopheles mosquito joyously flapped its wings, buzzing in through the door!

“Enough, Tiger!

Stop messing with me and state your terms!” An angry and frustrated voice of Addicted echoed in the sleeper cabin.

Tiger finally broke into undisguised laughter.

With his reputation, Addicted called for a tough negotiation.

Tiger had to soften him up to make the upcoming deal easier.

He closed the door, walked back, and took a seat on his lower bunk bed.

Across him was Addicted.

“Addicted, actually, I know all about your current predicament!

You were stabbed in the back recently, poisoned, and without my antimicrobial peptides, you’ll have no cure, right?” The Northeast Wild Tiger spoke casually.

“How did you know!” Addicted furrowed his eyebrows.

The two men immersed in their icy conversation were completely oblivious to a mosquito that had just rested in the crevices of the upper bunk, suddenly froze!

Hmm…

what’s happening here?

Did I just step into some dangerous situation!

Jia Yan carefully shrank his body even more.

It was expected, though.

Humans couldn’t possibly guard against mosquitoes.

Jia Yan might not get to witness some dark scenarios today, but he was bound to come across them someday.

“I have my sources,” Northeast Wild Tiger waved his hand dismissively said.

“The purpose of bringing this up is to let you know I’m truly being honest with you!

You, Addicted, are the top assassin in the country, and you must have heard of me, Northeast Wild Tiger as well.

I’m not after a one-time collaboration, I hope you understand my intention?”

“Northeast Wild Tiger!

Recently, with the assistance of the pharmaceutical industry, you’ve emerged like a new star.

Some even began to speculate if you had acquired some special medical knowledge…

after all, how else would you concoct two new medicines for problems the medical fraternity has yet to solve?” Addicted’s thin face, under the dim lighting, looked ghastly as he spoke.

“And now, using your medicines, you’re expanding your influence at an alarming rate.

It hasn’t been long, and you’re already stretching your hands from the Northeast towards the capital.

Are you implying that you want to serve me in the long term?” Addicted suddenly smiled, but it was a cruel, bloody smile.

“I just want to ask, do you, Northeast Wild Tiger, think you’re worthy?”

“Hahaha!” Tiger roared with laughter: “Me?

Northeast Wild Tiger?

Of course, I’m not!

Look, Addicted, let’s put it this way: I have no intention of being anyone’s master.

In the past year or so, I have been muddling through, and I have somehow reached where I am today!

Now, I, a naïve man, would like a long-term partnership with you, nothing about being a master or a servant.

As long as you don’t take any other offers during our collaboration, I, Northeast Wild Tiger, will definitely comply with your conditions, do you get my point?”

As he spoke, Northeast Wild Tiger didn’t hesitate to pull out a bottle of what appeared to be a common potion from his bag.

With a smile, he stood up and placed the potion on the lower bunk of Addicted.

“One’s an assassin!

The other seems to be a big shot from the pharmaceutical industry?!

Are they shooting a movie?” Jia Yan who was hiding, started questioning the scene before him.

To be continued.
