[Please collect]_1 Mingxia Building, a thirty-story tall complex, houses a shopping mall, gaming city, and offices for dozens of small and medium-sized enterprises!

And the parent company of the Yu Family, ‘Mingxia Real Estate’, occupies most of the floors in the building.

Some are used as employee dormitories, others serve various office purposes.

In total, over 300 employees work tirelessly in this Great Summer building, endeavoring to further expand the Yu Family’s business empire.

“Our recent performance has been decent.

As I’ve previously mentioned, distribute the employee bonuses accordingly.”

Yu Tao, who had just stepped off a plane, was sitting in the CEO’s office, dealing with company affairs that had piled up over the past few days.

“Understood.” The manager of a certain department took back his report and left the room.

He observed two tall men in black standing outside the CEO’s office.

Also, inside the CEO’s office were two men dressed in sharp suits.

They stood there silently, but their presence put pressure on this experienced manager.

Could it be that the CEO is in some kind of trouble lately?

Otherwise, he’d never have this many bodyguards…

The manager couldn’t help but wonder.

“Speak up, have you guys managed to track down the assassins who were sent to murder me during these past few days?”

Once the manager had completely left, Yu Tao in the CEO’s office asked with a frosty expression.

His question was naturally directed towards the two captains of security force, who were sitting on one side.

The captain of the security force organized his thoughts, then finally spoke: “Not yet!

But we have some information.

They come from a medium-sized international assassin organization consisting of fifty to a hundred members.

Only a small number of them are professional assassins.

Most of the others also hold other occupations.

Some even work for other mercenary groups!”

“So you’re saying you can’t even handle two assassins from such a ragtag group?” Yu Tao frowned.

“It’s not like that.

Although the organization comprises of a motley crew, there are quite a few skilled professionals among them.

As for the two assassins assigned to assassinate you, I’ve learned from limited information that they possess strong combat abilities.

One of them even held a long-term title as the best sniper on the African battlefield.

Even I might not be able to beat him,” explained the security captain.

Yu Tao laughed coldly, but it was absolutely a derisive laugh.

The security captain was just boasting about how formidable their opponent was, and then slightly bragging about himself, wasn’t he?

No one could outdo Yu Tao when it came to flowery rhetoric.

In other words, they still don’t know the whereabouts of the two assassins.

Yu Tao, with a slight headache, thought about another matter.

He already knew about what happened at home yesterday.

Right now, Yu Tao regretted immensely.

Over a month ago, he should not have allowed the beautiful girl from the Ding Family, who should be his future daughter-in-law, to temporarily live at the Yu Family Courtyard after he agreed to his son’s request.

He had sensed something was wrong back then.

Nonsensically, he thought at that time that they were the elders and should not interfere much in the young people’s business.

He and his wife even moved out of the courtyard, only occasionally returning home symbolically.

But to his surprise, Ding Li Meng had announced in front of everyone that she wanted to cancel the wedding, the Ding Family had even called him the previous night, saying that his son, Yu Yuan, had taken a hostage and threatened them, and the person had been killed by his son!

Was the person mentioned the same guy his son killed over a month ago and he helped to clean up?

It was just an ordinary person.

Even if his son had killed him, what of it?

At that time, Yu Tao didn’t think much of it.

He just told his son not to be so cruel next time and then made some phone calls to some connected people.

As for the dead guy, he was naturally reported to have died in a ‘car accident!’ As for compensation in his company, there was an abundance of people who could keep secrets and were willing to go to jail.

Only, he didn’t expect that the guy who died had anything to do with Ding Li Meng!

Yu Tao’s head hurt terribly.

Not a metaphorical hurt, but a literal one.

This marriage alliance cost the Yu Family so much – not just numbers on paper but also personal and professional contacts.

These are debts to be repaid in the future!

What’s more, Yu Yuan’s actions have crossed a line.

If other families find out about the underlying reasons, the Yu Family’s reputation in Shanghai City would significantly diminish.

In other words, Yu Tao wouldn’t dare to reclaim anything the Yu Family had invested.

Otherwise, if the Ding Family blew the whistle, the price the Yu Family would need to pay would be tenfold!

“I need to go to the restroom.

One of you follow me.” Yu Tao stood up, albeit a bit weakly, and touched his forehead.

The vice-captain rose to his feet and accompanied Yu Tao into the restroom attached to the office.

Yu Tao was incredibly fearful of death.

He even needed someone to accompany him to the restroom within his own office.

“Alright, wait for me outside.” Yu Tao entered the restroom.

But there was a separate cubicle inside, and he opened the cubicle door.

Looks like he was going to take a dump!

The smell probably won’t be pleasant, thought the vice-captain grimly.

But duty calls, he nodded and pulled a face.

Yu Tao entered the cubicle.

Seeing the open space in the cubicle, Yu Tao hesitated for a while, but then he locked the cubicle door…

At this moment.

A mosquito that had been hiding in a shadowy corner of the office began to buzz around, following Yu Tao into the cubicle.

It slipped past the vice-captain of the security team and deftly squeezed through a slight gap in the top of the cubicle.

Jia Yan watched the middle-aged man undressing below him.

This man held a respectable position in Shanghai City.

It might be an exaggeration to say he could control the wind and the rain, but this man’s word could easily determine life or death – more or less the same as controlling the climate.

In his previous life, he was murdered because this man had helped his son, the murderer, escape punishment by turning his death by homicide into a traffic accident!

The murderer even threw a party at home yesterday.

It had only been a month since he had killed someone, but he was already so happy.

He even used the deceased to deceive his fiancée into his house!

Anyone who could bring up such a son couldn’t be any good!

Just his act of helping his son cover up the murder was a serious crime already!

Jia Yan believed he surely had committed more serious crimes, likely even more exaggerated than his son’s.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able to conveniently disguise his own death as a car accident, would he?!

Perhaps, directly or indirectly, more than one or two people have already died at his hands!

Killing him would definitely be an act of justice for society!

“So…

die!”

Jia Yan’s body reduces the frequency of its wing beats as much as possible to lower the risk of discovery, as he slowly descends…

Yu Tao has already taken his pants off, preparing to relax.

Jia Yan lands on his neck.

Yu Tao is quite alert.

In this moment, he seems to sense something lightly falling onto his skin.

He was just about to reach out and touch it.

But at this moment!

Jia Yan suddenly plunges his proboscis into the skin of this successful man!

“Uh!” Almost instantly, Yu Tao’s muscles tense abruptly!

He felt the skin on his neck go completely numb.

What the hell is this!

Yu Tao lifts his arm, preparing to swat at whatever was on his neck!

Jia Yan, watching his movements, the expression in his compound eyes suddenly becomes even colder!

The speed at which he injects the virus drastically accelerates!

“Ah!” Finally, Yu Tao lets out a scream.

The arm he had raised falls limp immediately!

In that instant, Jia Yan injects all of the CHr-379 virus into Yu Tao’s body!

Yu Tao could only feel the numbness spreading, first in his neck, then spreading throughout his body!

In just a few seconds, it had spread throughout his entire body!

“Uh…

ah ah ah…” Yu Tao groans, but his voice is extremely weak.

In the midst of extreme pain, he sees a giant bug, black as jet, resembling a mosquito, slowly flying away from his neck…

“Ah!” He opens his mouth, a clear look of resentment in his eyes.

He would never have imagined that he would be attacked by such a small creature, and judging by the situation, it might even have been a fatal blow!

Resentment!

The Yu family still hasn’t grown into a top-tier family.

Resentment!

His son hasn’t started a family and continued the Yu family’s bloodline yet!

Yu Tao resents this!

“Chairman, what happened to you?!”

The deputy chief of security waiting outside is a leading figure in the security industry.

Although waiting outside the restroom made him feel uncomfortable, he hasn’t lost his vigilance.

He heard Yu Tao’s low groan!

The deputy security chief instantly knocks on the door to inquire.

But there’s no response from inside.

“Captain!

Captain!

Come over here!” The deputy chief of security starts shouting in panic.

“Break down the door!

Quickly.”

The arriving security captain is also greatly shocked, his professional instincts alert him – something serious has happened!

With both of them pushing, the thin door could not withstand their force!

Bang!

The door is pushed open!

But what they see is Yu Tao sitting on the toilet, his head drooping, constantly foaming at the mouth!

“Chairman!

Chairman!” The chief of security is shocked, and quickly rushes to support him.

The deputy chief of security is vigilantly looking around!

How big could a stall be?

But no matter how he checks, he can’t see anything suspicious.

“What the hell happened?

Assassin?

Something else?”

The captain’s eyes seem to be firing, the protection target of his current assignment is in danger under these conditions, which is a big blow to his extremely arrogant persona!

“No external injuries, therefore, it might be poison or a sudden health condition!” The deputy chief of security has a certain amount of medical knowledge.

After taking a few glances at Yu Tao, he made his judgement.

“Call an ambulance!

Quickly!” The security captain, holding Yu Tao, shouts anxiously.

While one is calling the ambulance and the other is checking Yu Tao’s vital signs…

A Chinese anopheles mosquito hidden beneath the sink, emerges from the shadows and lightly flies out.

Then it passes through the restroom door and flies toward the office door that has been open due to the alert security personnel.

Yu Tao…

is dead!

“Next up is your turn…

Yu Yuan!”

Jia Yan, flying, his cold compound eyes seem like they could freeze fire!

To be continued.
