Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

41: Chapter 2 Contact Again!

(Please Favorite)_1 41: Chapter 2 Contact Again!

(Please Favorite)_1 Yongchun City, with a total population of 7.67 million, governed seven districts, two cities, and one county.

With such a vast population, Yongchun Train Station was naturally bustling with constant vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

When the train arrived in Yongchun, it was a little past nine in the morning, the peak time for foot traffic at the train station.

Upon reaching the final stop, the train, which had traveled nearly two thousand kilometers, began its regular maintenance.

But away from people’s attention, a large, dark Chinese Anopheles Mosquito quietly took flight from the underside of the train and ascended into mid-air…

“Huh?…” A train attendant seemed to catch a glimpse of something, then blinked and dismissed it from his mind.

He must be seeing things.

Where would such a big mosquito, carrying a small bottle, come from?

Jia Yan was unaware that he had been spotted.

He was just flying swiftly under the scorching sun and darted to the top of the train station, seeking refuge in a shaded spot where sunlight couldn’t reach.

He planned to wait until nightfall to head out.

During the day, his already considerable size and the bottle of liquid medicine he was carrying made him highly conspicuous.

The CHr-379 virus was a great help to Jia Yan.

With it, he felt that his confidence and abilities were greatly enhanced.

Without the virus, Jia Yan was nothing more than a slightly stronger ordinary mosquito.

Anyway, even if he were to leave the CHr-379 virus here, he had no idea where to go on his own.

Even if he could speak, it’s not like he could just stop anyone on the street and ask, “Where is the Northeast Wild Tiger factory?” and get an answer.

As for the night, he had a plan.

From his high vantage point, Jia Yan observed the scene below.

There were really too many humans.

The phrase ‘the traffic is heavy like a flowing river’ couldn’t fully describe the scene.

As the dominators of the Earth, the humans managed to increase their population to such an enormous size without entirely destroying the ecosystem.

It’s truly terrifying!

People hustled and bustled about, rubbing shoulders with each other.

From atop the train station, one could get a glimpse of the microcosm of human society.

Some people look worried, some were exuberant, some were sneaky, and as for the students, they were all full of youthful energy.

Couples were showing off their love while a heartbroken man nearby couldn’t stand it any longer, wearing a miserable expression.

A little girl was making a fuss about wanting candy, and her mother, seemingly annoyed, spanked her a few times.

Looking at these varied human behaviors from above, Jia Yan wasn’t sure if he still counted as a human, but he couldn’t help but feel like he’s an outsider.

Watching these scenes, he gained deeper insights.

There’s an old verse that goes: “You can’t know the true face of Mount Lu because you’re in the mountain.” Just like that, Jia Yan who was observing the various human behaviors from a different perspective, had many thoughts.

Fascinating to observe no matter how many times he had seen it.

Time quickly passed, the blazing sun set in the west in a flash.

A round moon rose from the skyline!

Another night with a full moon.

After another few hours of waiting, it was late at night.

Jia Yan saw the crowd below turning into individual heat sources through his infrared vision.

Although the city was still brightly lit, the chances of being noticed if he set off now would be significantly reduced.

The wings of the mosquito vibrated, the powerful wings like helicopter blades, making a humming sound when flapping.

Jia Yan noticed that he had been getting a little stronger over the past few days.

Even though the intensity of growth wasn’t as dramatic as after consuming the purple-red liquid medicine, it was a real and consistent strength gain!

The mutation ability of purple-red liquid medicine likely still existed in his body since even the most potent mutation took time, and Jia Yan as an insect could shorten the mutation time, it would inevitably have a follow-up process.

His wings were even more powerful!

He could fly higher and faster!

The mosquito soared through the city’s night sky!

The headwind he faced was much stronger due to his high flying speed, causing the delicate hairs on his body to flutter.

He tilted his antennae backward in the air slightly to reduce the wind resistance, a strategy he came up with himself.

Ordinary mosquitoes would never have his speed, so they wouldn’t need these strategies.

The balancing rod located on the top between abdomen and chest played the role of balancing the body.

Thanks to it, Jia Yan could fly faster and make sharper sprints!

The tiny scales on his body had undergone a massive transformation since he first became a mosquito.

These scales had become harder and thicker!

While they added some load to his flight, his defense became better, and his self-defense ability was stronger!

Jia Yan’s compound eyes glimpsed from the high altitude, the robust mosquito body made a quick turn, and darted towards the shadow of the residential area seen in the compound eyes!

This brand-new residential area had a complete security system, and the guards at the gate had high professional standards.

But how could these security systems prevent a mosquito from entering from the high sky?

Jia Yan easily entered the residential area.

For safety’s sake, Jia Yan chose a house with a sunshade and carefully placed the small bottle filled with the CHr-379 virus on top of the sunshade.

This place is unlikely to be spotted by anyone, and even if it is, it would be taken as garbage.

Jia Yan takes off again, without the bottle of medicine.

If he gets noticed, the most anyone would see would be a large mosquito, nothing more.

He continues his search along the window!

“Hmm…

this house’s laptop is on the table, unmanned.

The window is closed so I can’t get in!”

Jia Yan is a bit disappointed, but this was to be expected.

He turns around and continues prowling the neighborhood.

Finally, he found a house with an open balcony door, a brightly lit laptop in a study room with no one inside.

This drew Jia Yan’s attention.

After observing the house and seeing no potential danger, he quietly enters the room through the balcony door.

Jia Yan’s vision is still excellent in the dark, and he can sense heat sources and distances through his antennae.

The owner of the house went to his bedroom and fell asleep intertwined with a woman.

Jia Yan’s eyes lit up!

This house will do.

He flew into the room with the lit laptop.

It was clearly a study, with no beds or other living items, just two rows of bookshelves and an open laptop downloading files.

“So this person is an artist!” Jia Yan noticed a digital drawing pad, a stylus, and a pile of rough drawings next to the laptop.

Without further ado, Jia Yan hopped next to the mouse.

The owner used a typical wireless mouse for notebooks, which was finely made and extremely lightweight.

Jia Yan pushed the mouse, it felt about twice as heavy as the one in Fan Haofei’s rented room in Shanghai.

If it wasn’t for Jia Yan’s strength increasing these past few days, he might not have been able to move it.

Jia Yan almost missed Fan Haofei’s house.

He struggled to push the mouse and minimized the running programs.

Jia Yan clicked on the QQ icon!

Yes, he wanted to log in to the QQ account that had been in contact with the two assassins for the past few days!

Compared to the difficulty of the mouse, the keyboard was simpler.

Notebook keyboards are generally soft, Jia Yan found a half-used pencil eraser by the side of the table.

Bashing the keyboard with it was much easier than using a pen cap.

Beep beep beep.

As soon as he logged in with his account and password, the QQ icon began to flash.

“Hello, we have safely arrived at the Hawaii Islands.

The sea is clear and the sky is blue, the view is beautiful.

We wonder if you would be interested in coming here to relax?

We can host, as a thank you for your help.”

It’s so nice to complete a mission and go relax in a top tourist destination, Hawaii.

Tsk tsk…

Jia Yan was truly envious, but he still typed a refusal message.

“Hello, I don’t think I need to relax right now.

I want to ask you a question.

I wonder if you can help me look it up through your organization’s intelligence.”

The previous message was left by the two assassins for Jia Yan.

Jia Yan couldn’t be sure if the two men would see his message in real time.

After all, there is a time difference between Hawaii and Huaxia, and it seems a bit odd to be logging into QQ while abroad…

The time difference between Hawaii and Huaxia is real, and it is as much as 18 hours.

At one in the night in Huaxia, it is seven in the morning of a new day in Hawaii.

A yellow-skinned, bearded man was sleeping soundly on the soft bed of a hotel.

Beep beep beep!

The cell phone by his bed suddenly started ringing!

“Hm!” The bearded man’s eyes shot open.

Half a minute later…

The bearded man went to the other room and slammed the door open.

“Damn, why are you knocking so early?” The young man in glasses hadn’t even had time to put his glasses on when he rushed to the door and opened it.

Assassins often have emergencies, he understood that, of course.

The bearded man didn’t say anything, but handed the chat screen on his phone to the bespectacled young man.

“Reply to him, ask what’s up!” The bespectacled young man frowned at the bearded man.

“Xiao Yao, do you really think we have a chance to invite him into the organization?” the bearded man asked strangely.
