Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

28: Chapter 28 Difficult Communication [Second Update]_1 28: Chapter 28 Difficult Communication [Second Update]_1 Jia Yan really wanted to respond with something along the lines of, “Who I am isn’t your concern.”

But the person he was dealing with was an assassin!

If he were to say something like that, they would most likely stop communicating with him.

So, after some consideration, he carefully deleted and rewrote his message: “My name is Addicted, you might know me?”

Jia Yan was taking a gamble!

It was unlikely that he, a former ordinary university student, would be familiar with an assassin operating in the shadows.

So, he used the only name he knew, one that the other party might also recognize, in an attempt to deceive them!

He hoped that ‘Addicted’, the man on the high-speed train, was as famous as the ‘Northeast Wild Tiger’ had claimed.

After all, this was a formidable figure who had battled America’s top four assassins and assassinated pirate chiefs.

Although Jia Yan wasn’t quite sure just how powerful those top four assassins truly were.

At any rate, this fight was bound to be more challenging than the one with the Bearded man, who had a hard time killing ordinary tycoons, right?

“You’re the senior Addicted?

Impossible!

He’s been out of action for years now, who are you really?” The handsome avatar of ‘For With Lang’s Heart’ flickered, sending a string of questions.

“Who said I’ve stopped?

I’ve just been feeling unwell lately.

I got some medicine from the Northeast Wild Tiger and am helping him out with some things in return.”

Jia Yan continued speaking.

This was pretty much all the information he had.

If they still didn’t believe him, there wasn’t much he could do.

His messages did not receive a response for quite some time.

In fact, these few exchanges between Jia Yan and the other party had already taken up two hours.

It was almost four in the morning.

Jia Yan was anxious!

The most significant resource and force he could currently use, which was most likely to cooperate with him in taking on the Yu Family, were these two assassins they had encountered on the road!

If he could get their help, the chances of killing Yu Yuan would greatly increase.

But if he couldn’t, then Jia Yan would have to go to the hospital to find some patients with serious viral diseases.

He would then absorb their blood and inject it into Yu Yuan, hoping he too would become infected with the virus!

But this was a rather unpredictable plan!

No one knew exactly how resistant to viruses mosquitos were!

Indeed, mosquitos differ significantly from complex higher-level organisms like humans.

They’re insects, many of their organs are simple, which means they can’t contract a lot of the viruses that affect higher-level animals.

To give a simple example, like hepatitis B.

Mosquitos don’t even have a ‘liver’, how could they contract the hepatitis B virus?

But their resistance to viruses is only strong in comparison to humans, not necessarily in comparison to other insects.

Many people assume that because mosquitos are vectors of disease, their resistance to viruses is as strong as a fly’s.

But in reality, while flies and sharks are known to be resistant to all diseases, mosquitos can hardly compete!

Jia Yan couldn’t risk it.

If he tried injecting some random pathogen and it ended up causing the mosquito to become seriously ill, he would die.

So, if he could get help from the external world, he should try to obtain it.

If all else fails, he would carry out the dangerous plan!

While he waited for a response.

Jia Yan opened a webpage and painstakingly searched for keywords such as ‘mosquito illness’ and ‘mosquito virus infection’.

Previously, Jia Yan had a non-professional understanding of biology, so he had a certain level of knowledge about animal immune systems and mechanisms.

Therefore, he was able to understand some of the articles he found on the webpages.

“Mosquitoes carry several strong bactericidal enzymes that can kill most viruses.”

“And actually, mosquitos are ‘vector organisms’.

They infect susceptible organisms with viruses.

So in the course of evolutionary history, those viruses have chosen not to infect and harm ‘vector organisms’.

This is a typical life cycle of an ‘insect-borne virus’, a type of virus that can only survive by relying on ‘vector organisms’ like mosquitos, so it’s impossible for them to infect a mosquito.”

“However, these insect-borne viruses are not representative of all viruses, some viruses can indeed harm mosquitos!”

After a quick scan of the webpages, Jia Yan gained a deeper understanding of his own complexities.

At that moment, a notification popped up from the taskbar chat box.

“Whether you are Senior Addicted or not, it’s nice meeting you.” The Bearded man seemed to switch to a more polite mode of conversation.

“Yes, regardless of whether I am or not, as long as we can cooperate that’s all that matters.

I believe you don’t think I’m with the Yu Family.

If I were, I would have let them take their team to No.

159 Changli Road to capture you by now.” Jia Yan dropped another bombshell!

When he had entered the rented house with the two assassins earlier, he had taken note of the house number.

Revealing it now was meant to stun the other party!

As expected, the other party took quite a while to respond this time.

As assassins, having someone secretly learn of their whereabouts without them noticing was shocking.

The two men seemed startled.

Jia Yan imagined that the two men in front of the computer at the other end must be completely taken aback.

He was right.

Although it was the bleak hours of pre-dawn, the two assassins sat grim-faced in front of the computer in their rented place, staring at Jia Yan’s ** recently registered account.

During this silent period, they had searched the room and performed a quick check of the downstairs area, finding no suspicious individuals.

Even the traces they had deliberately set up hadn’t been disturbed.

“Xiao Yao, what do you think this person’s intentions are?

Do you think they’re really planning to cooperate with us?” The Bearded man stroked his full beard, puzzled.

“Maybe he wants to cooperate, but it could also be a trap!” The young man with glasses sitting beside him, under his thick lenses, his eyes were full of thoughtful sparks.

“Huh, same as if you didn’t say anything!” the bearded man shook his head speechlessly, “So, do you think this person could actually be Senior Addicted?!”

“Impossible!” The young man’s response this time was quite fast, “There are two reasons!

First, Senior Addicted would never care about small characters like us!

Second, if Senior Addicted wants to kill someone, aside from some high-ranking government officials, who else can’t he kill?

Does he need to cooperate with us?!”

No one could have guessed that the mysterious person communicating ‘cooperation’ with them on the other side of the computer would be a mosquito with six legs…

“What you say makes sense, but what if he is severely ill and has to accept a task from the Northeast Wild Tiger, and because of his illness is unable to act so he has to cooperate with us?” The bearded man showed that he also had some intelligence, making a serious analytical comment.

“Your guess might be possible,” nodded the young man with glasses.

“Damn, what were you saying about impossibility?

And ‘there are two reasons’!” The bearded man was on the verge of exploding!

The young man adjusted his glasses, his expression remained cold and unbending.

Actually, this was just how their partnership worked.

At first glance, outsiders would think that the bearded man was the less intelligent one, and the bespectacled youth was the smart planner.

But in fact, the young man wasn’t really that smart, and the bearded man wasn’t that stupid!

“Since the other party knows our QQ account used for flirtation, and where we live, they must have more information about us.

If they had malicious intent, they would have acted a long time ago.

Therefore, it’s correct to assume that he doesn’t mean us harm – at least for now.” The young man continued in his cold tone, “Ask him how he wants to cooperate!”

After thinking for a moment, the bearded man agreed.

Perhaps this could be a pleasant cooperation?

“Explain how you want to cooperate.”

Seeing the message appear on the screen, Jia Yan felt a sense of joy in his heart!

“Finally, he took the bait!” He quickened the pace of his typing.

A mosquito and two human assassins were communicating methodically…

This sounded absurd.

The two humans could never imagine that their opponent was not human at all.

Therefore, in this negotiation of wits and strength, they were destined to be the losing side!

Time quickly arrived at dawn.

The summer sun always illuminates the earth early.

Even though the sun couldn’t be seen when the sky just started to lighten, uniform light entered through the window and made the originally dark space very bright.

“Alright, communication is complete!” Jia Yan, with the pen cap in his arms, looked utterly wilted.

For him, ‘typing’ was just like fighting, it exhausted him and hurt his body!

The repetitive impacts made Jia Yan very grateful for the training he had received during his larva days, getting his body used to that feeling.

Otherwise, a night of typing would have been unbearable!

He didn’t want to move anymore.

“No, I must restore the desktop.”

Jia Yan staggered to his feet, his six long legs trembling as if they had been drained of all strength.

Pain, intense pain!

“Haha, I haven’t felt this way in a long time, it’s like back in the larva days when I was training intensely.

Fortunately, I used the pen cap to hit the keyboard, so the impact on the body won’t be too big.

A rest will be fine!”

Jia Yan was closing the web pages and programs he had opened.

After a night of intense fiddling, he had gained some experience and skills in manipulating the mouse and keyboard.

Next time when he tries to press harder on the keyboard, he’ll have a better chance!

“By the way, this host really can sleep, and he even snores!” Jia Yan looked at the young man who was snoring loudly in the bed.

This man looked very honest and funny at first glance.

Jia Yan closed all the programs, cleared the QQ login records and webpage browsing records.

He also switched back to the online game page which had been disconnected a long time ago.

Then, he prepared to leave.

“This place is really nice.

It has such an unsuspecting host.

I can choose here as my base for the next few days!” Jia Yan made a decision.

Through an identity card scan document on the computer desktop, Jia Yan learned that the young man’s name was ‘Fan Haofei’.

Judging from his rental room, he should be single, and with a computer available, choosing here as his base is quite suitable!

Now, of course, he needed to leave.

He had to do some necessary investigations and preparations to kill Yu Yuan!

The mosquito flew out of the window.

To be continued.
