Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4039  A Father And A Husband

Dalila and Myria went to the Treasury to arrange a few things for the future. There was also a new stock of goods that they had to make an inventory of, so they went to help.

On the other side, his avatar was still playing with the children.

His children couldnʼt differentiate whether he was an avatar or not unless he told them, but they were smart enough to be able to pick up signals. For example, if their mothers werenʼt around him, they knew he would most likely turn out to be an avatar.

But today, they didnʼt care since they thought they were still playing with his main body.

Davis felt bad, but to him, his promise to his wives was more important. However, he wasnʼt a demon. He planned his avatar to lead them to this room.

Once the children were inside, he gathered them and also made them sleep together with him and Tina.

Tina was woken up, but she took Sheria with a huge smile and cuddled her to sleep.

Davis also cuddled Azariel and Viridia while Aurelia, Eterna, and Celestia had their arms or legs over him to cuddle with him. They all soundly slept.

His children were still growing and needed sleep a lot, after all. They were also tired from playing a fast-paced game with him. Of course, they didnʼt instantly go to sleep but giggled around until they slept.

On the other hand, Lucian was taken away by Niera to meet Lea. The little dude could go up in flames anytime. Davis had personally seen it with his avatar. When the revolving core formed in Lucian, his body went up in flames.

It didnʼt harm himself but was harmful to others. Fortunately, the apocalyptic flames were weak, and Eterna and Celestia were right by his side. They were Sixth Stage Cultivators already, being able to match Eighth Stage Cultivators with ease, so dealing with Lucianʼs apocalyptic flames was fairly easy for them.

Finally, Davis and the others eventually slept for over six hours.

The kids woke up a bit earlier and ran away to eat. After they ate, they tried waking him up, but he was stuck with Tina, cuddling with her.

”Mhmm! Lazy father! Fmph~”

Eterna grumbled before she slapped him on the shoulder and left while carrying Azariel and Viridia. However, they both cried as they reached out their hands towards him, causing Davis to wake up and hold them in his arms, his heart filled with warmth. He kissed their cheeks and brought them to the hall where Esvele was ready with their dishes.

He also saw Illumina there, but she was still observing and learning.

Tina also shortly joined for a meal. She had to wait a bit, but she didnʼt mind, placing her elbows on the table and resting her chin on the back of her hands as she viewed Davis and the way he fed Azariel and Viridia with tenderness.

It seemed like he finally had time to be a father, making her heart swell with affection and approval.

”Itʼs tasty, right?” Davis kept feeding them.

”Tassti~”

”Tastee~”

Both Azariel and Viridia had their eyes wide and made their heads bobble as they responded to him in delight. The babies knew a lot of words, but their pronunciation and the way they responded were still funny. However, it made Davis almost cry.

Eterna giggled. Finally, her father was taking notice of them. She looked around, wondering where Celestia and Aurelia had gone.

She went to look for her and found her practicing the training courtyard with a spear in her hand.

”Ahh! No fair~ Wait for me!”

”Now that father is back, Iʼll leave you in the dust and prove to him that I am the most powerful child~”

Eterna rushed and took out a mace from the weapon stand and practiced with it while Celestia giggled. They must have basic proficiency in all kinds of weapons first before choosing the one they found most firm in their hold or using multiple weapons based on situations.

*Clang!~* *Clang!~*

Soon, their weapons clashed as they traced what they had been taught, and their forms also looked better and better.

ʼMartial geniuses…ʼ

Davis observed them through his soul sense and couldnʼt help but feel proud. They seemed to have a strong sense of rivalry that helped them climb above and make a lot of progress in their cultivation and martial arts.

”My love, I also want to have a child…” Suddenly, Tina uttered, her expression shy as she looked at him before her gaze lowered.

”I know.” Davis nodded, ”Iʼm busy today and probably tomorrow, so if nothing goes wrong, how about in three days?”

”Hehe~” Tina innocently laughed, seemingly satisfied, ”Just kidding. I donʼt want to get pregnant in these ten years. I will invest everything I have to protect the family.”

”Tina…” Davisʼs expression softened, ”Thereʼs no need to hold back. You are asking for whatʼs rightfully yours.”

”I am aware, my love. But I donʼt want to burden you any more than you need to carry at one time. The covenant is weighing on you, so I wonʼt indulge in selfish desires. I want you to smile more and be happy in these ten years.”

Davis raised his brows, ”Guess we have the same thought, so how about we marry in a few years?”

”Ah?” Tina went speechless as she sat straight suddenly.

”Werenʼt we supposed to marry in three years?”

”Y-Yes…” She quivered.

”With the covenant ironically protecting us from the Celestial Transcendent, I think we can continue where we left off. Of course, all the marriages can be held here since we have hundreds and thousands of people who created their own towns on the outskirts. We can invite them all to have a grand banquet. Those who can come can come, and if they donʼt, thatʼs fine too. What do you think?”

Davis spread his hands and imagined a grand wedding before feeding Azariel and Viridia another mouthful again.

However, he smiled wryly as she saw Tina becoming teary-eyed.
