Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4023  A Small Celebratory Feast

”Lea!!!”

Davis grabbed Leaʼs waist and swung her around. She held his shoulders and looked into his sapphire eyes while smiling brightly, unable to stop her tears.

”Hehe~”

Tia giggled, feeling like the timing couldnʼt be any better since they had just borrowed ten years, which was supposed to be relatively safe.

What other best time was there for their children to grow safely?

Stella blushed, imagining what that meant as she touched her own stomach. When would she become pregnant? She didnʼt know, but just hearing the news made her shiver from head to toe with joy. She wondered if this was how her mother felt when she gave birth to her.

They watched Davis spin around Lea for a while before they hugged and kissed gently.

”…”

Tia suddenly felt a bit jealous as she pouted. Her expression then relaxed, ʼWell, itʼs me whoʼs avoiding him anyway.ʼ

She lowered her head, thinking about two figures. There was something vague that made her feel strange. It was a remnant voice of herself exchanging a few words with them.

ʼWe will die trying or… obtain happiness together…ʼ She thought, biting her lips.

ʼMy happiness came too soon. I never expected it to come so easily, but I will wait for them…ʼ

It was something she had heard long back, and she couldnʼt tell if it was a dream or another reality, but she still held onto it, not wanting to forget.

Tia raised her head and continued smiling, congratulating Lea.

Stella also did the same.

”Thank you, Tia and Stella.” Lea was still in tears. She was embarrassed that she cried like a fool, so she quickly hid as she threw her face to Davisʼs chest and hugged him tightly.

”Haha! What a good news! This blows away the little bit of frustration I possessed. I now feel like nothing can stop me!”

Davis laughed out as he embraced Lea. He mainly said it to console Leaʼs oversensitive emotions, but there were no lies in his words. He really was feeling invincible right now, with endless motivation and hope for the future rising within him.

He called for a banquet then and there. He personally went to cook and made a feast for Lea and the others, feeding her using his hands and treating her like a queen.

Illumina and Vereina also joined.

They were both shocked and expressed it in their faces. If it werenʼt for their veils, one could see their lips parting and jaws dropping.

Particularly, Vereina walked away and came back later.

Eldia and Calypsea were gluttons. Although Eldia knew what was going on, her shyness didnʼt last for long before she sank her fangs into the feast. However, as for Calypsea, she seemed to understand that Lea was with a child, but it didnʼt elicit any reaction from her. She was more interested in the feast, wanting to taste all sorts of dishes.

Lea was already overwhelmed, but Davis only made it worse.

She felt like she was in the nine heavens that wasnʼt one of pleasure but satisfaction.

”Stop it already~”

For a few hours, they put off their discussion again, and only after the banquet ended did they stop pleasing Lea. She voiced out with a pout, unable to capture all this happiness in her heart as it hit her like a whirlwind. She glanced at Davis, her eyes turning gentle as she saw him be the happiest of all, smiling the whole time like a kid who got his toy.

She was still worried about the covenant but chose not to bring it up at this moment.

She loved to see him smile and even hear his arrogant lines that occasionally popped up, still saying how no descendant of him would be able to suppress him.

ʼThatʼs right… thatʼs how you should be, my love…ʼ

Leaʼs lips widened into the brightest smile she had this day.

”If our child is a son, he will give you a challenge greater than you can expect. If itʼs a girl, then she would make you stand on your toes all the time by giving you immense trouble~”

Lea giggled, not giving up on her children as she chided him.

”Hoho…” Davis raised his brows as he made a punching motion, ”Letʼs see how your son fares against me. I will beat him up and show him his place if he acts out. As for our adorable daughter…”

He placed his hand on his chin as though he was thinking but went speechless, unable to find any retort. He was already worried a lot about Eternal and Celestia anyway. They were already seven. By twelve, they would already be trying to get out of their fairy cocoons and rebel against him. By sixteen or seventeen, they wouldʼve already turned into heavenly beauties like their mothers once were. Like butterflies, they would take flight and leave his side.

”…” Just thinking about it made him shudder.

Lea and the others hid a giggle. They were feasting on his expression that seemed to descend into despair.

”Alright, alright.” Tia stopped them, ”Letʼs stop scaring big brother on this joyous day. To protect them then and now, we first need to go back right now. Elder sister Lea, from now on, youʼre barred from entering combat.”

Lea could only smilingly shake her head. She had just gotten pregnant. It wasnʼt until the baby was at least a fingerʼs worth of size that she would start feeling the weakness. Even if she entered combat now and got grievously injured, it wouldnʼt result in something bad happening to the baby unless the injury was in or extended to her womb.

”Iʼm serious~” Seeing Lea not take her advice seriously, Tia raised her fists.

The way she saw it, anything could happen while they were making the return journey. The timing was good to be true, so she feared it could be a misfortune in disguise.

”I know. I wonʼt enter combat as long as everything is under control. Is that fine?”

”Alright… you must take plenty of rest. Let me take care of the last shipment.”

Lea offered, to which Tia reluctantly nodded. Tia then looked at Illumina, ”Please protect elder sister Lea at all times.”

”Yes!” Illumina immediately went on her knees.

Her speed was instantaneous, moving from being seated to instantly having one knee on the floor while she cupped her hands towards Tia in respect.

”…”

Davis gazed at them. It seemed like Tia had gained considerable influence after she started her lessons on Karma Laws.

On the other hand, he loved how he didnʼt even have to issue commands at certain times because his beauties would have the same idea as him.

Furthermore, it was as though they understood the hierarchy. So far, Tia never interrupted Lea while she was with him, issuing orders and overseeing the exchange of information, but once Lea became pregnant and elevated to protection target, Tia came forward to take the command, and Lea obediently gave it away without exchanging many words.

The change in power was fluent and smooth.

He could see Mingzhi being a considerable influence on them in a good way rather than just being influenced by her sleazy words.

Nonetheless, they all looked at him now, wanting to hear his decision.
