Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4002  A Sealed Divergent

Davis felt that was good information- but there was no karmic burden after hearing it. It seems like they are all the same in the eyes of the heavens or the universe, whichever it was.

They were only naming the power level of a being that was enough to threaten the existence of realms in the Mortal Layer. Maybe it was also to stop the vast populace from trying to reach the apex?

After all, those who have ideas of a bright future will tend to want to grasp it against all odds.

Nonetheless, it was hard to think that this rift from the Shadow Dimension had existed for over six million years. What was holding it from closing? The suitable environment? Or was it Lilliana Rayton herself who was keeping the rift open with all her remaining power or the souls she devoured, or both…?

He stared at her, knowing not to underestimate her after knowing her power level.

It was unknown if he could defeat her even in her sealed state.

After all, she was sealed in the Shadow Dimension, so her Divine Exalt powers didnʼt reach here in the Lower Realms. She could barely extend her influence, and only through the remnant shadows of her faithful worshipers that had turned into nothing more than strange runes to control was she able to gain access to the Mortal Layer.

Otherwise, itʼs unknown if she could even exit the Whispering Rift.

”Do you want these armaments?” Lilliana Rayton giggled, ”When the seals finally come undone, I can give half of them to you. A single wave of them should easily kill an Early Stage Divine Exalt for you, although Iʼm not sure if you can endure such power. If you canʼt believe me, that canʼt be helped. Still, all you have to do is leave Vereina, and we can come to a conclusion- oh, Anarchic Divergent.”

”Give her to me… give her to me…! Iʼll make sure you are compensated well!”

Lilliana Rayton struggled as she extended her hands towards them, but the clinging chains and impaled armaments constricted her beyond compare.

Vereinaʼs tremble only grew in magnitude.

The way she embraced him was as though she wouldnʼt let go even if her arms were chopped off, appearing to hold for her dear life, filled with the terrifying notion that he might abandon her. She didnʼt say a single word as though she was afraid he would reject her, only showing her voice through her actions that she didnʼt want to let him go.

Davis still didnʼt respond to her wishes nor console her.

He kept his gaze straight at Lilliana Rayton and suddenly revealed a lewd smile.

”Final question. Will you sleep with me? I canʼt wait to taste a Divine Exalt, much less a thirty billion-year-old woman whose yin should be intensely mature.”

He licked his lips and swallowed loudly, exhaling a hot breath.

”Ah~” Lilliana Raytonʼs cheeks abruptly grew red, ”To think you would ask… I was waiting~ If you want, even this body of mine is yours~

She tried to reach out her hands, wanting to grab him, ”Ah~ I canʼt wait to feel pleasure after such a long time… hold me… embrace me… satisfy me… pound me to death!~”

She quivered crazily as though already orgasming from the desire in his voice.

”Oh, I can imagine why you would crave me, you sex-crazed old demon.”

Davisʼs lewd expression suddenly turned wild, ”Most likely, you slept with your victims, clearly those Divine Exalts and Primarchs who sealed you. You devoured a part of their souls and returned it in the act of yin-yang exchange using the strange technique you devised in tandem with your Violent Punitive Soul Physique, allowing you to remain alive as long as they remain alive, no?”

”…!”

The chains that were making clinging noises from her movements abruptly came to a stop.

”You didnʼt devour their souls but chose to make them a part of you just like you wanted me to become part of you. Not bad for a plan, but-”

Davis sighed, ”The Celestial Transcendent is too reasonable for his own good. He didnʼt kill the bastards whom you slept with to erase you once and for all and instead had them seal you with their own strength and resources so it would be one of mutual destruction, no? He completely took the matter off his hands. Heʼs as smart as I expected him to be.”

Lilliana Rayton clenched her teeth until they bled. She glared at him with her wide eyes. It turned crimson, full of murderous intentions.

”Even if you are right, what do you think you can do?” She slowly growled, ”Thatʼs right, I devoured half of their souls, molded them with my soul physique, and gave it back to them in the act of yin-yang exchange. I canʼt control them, but as long as they live, I wonʼt die. Thatʼs the price they had to pay. The people I slept with are endless. Men and women! I donʼt differentiate! Unless all of them are killed, even the Celestial Transcendent can forget about killing me! Aahahhaha!”

She threw her head back and laughed as though she was always the victor.

”I doubt that.” Davis lazily said, ”That bastard you speak of is way more powerful after billions of years. Iʼm sure if he really wanted to, he could devise a way to end you completely, but he is really too busy. He couldnʼt be bothered when youʼre still sealed, barely getting by with scraps… I doubt he even remembers your twisted love-filled gazes of wanting to sleep with him, you abandoned witch…”

”You dare!?” Lilliana Rayton screamed, her voice shrill, laced with icy murderous intent.

”Letʼs end this.”

Davis scoffed. He simply no longer wished to stay here as he didnʼt think he could get any more information out of her. All her promises were vague and came with poison. To embrace her would be like embracing a thorn-filled flower, not that he was even attracted in the first place with how miserable and grotesque she looked.

Even if she knew Charm Laws to a terrifying degree, she was in the Shadow Dimension. It wouldnʼt reach him here. He actually knew she practiced Charm Laws to a terrifying degree. Otherwise, it would be extremely difficult to seduce Divine Exalts and Primarchs alike and cheat them off their souls, practically making them walking life crystals that would allow her to revive endlessly.

He even guessed she created a similar Body Physique like Myria did. Otherwise, he couldnʼt understand how she would have an undying body that flowed with blood endlessly for billions of years. He even suspected she became an Anarchic Divergent but played it down to lower his guard.

”End this? Pfft~” Abruptly, Lilliana Rayton looked as though she heard the funniest thing since she began talking with him.

”Youʼre sealed here with me. As long as I donʼt dispel this mental realm, what can you do to leave, you powerless Immortal Emperor? Itʼs only a matter of time before one of my cute worshipers awakens and cleaves you two to death. Now-”

”I know.” Davis smirked, ”We were both buying for time, and I still canʼt sense my get-the-fuck-out card, but thatʼs fine because I still have the key right with me, donʼt you think?”

”…”

He patted Vereina, causing the crazed smile on Lilliana Raytonʼs face to freeze.

Davis held Vereinaʼs shoulders and pushed her back a bit. Her face came into his view, and she finally looked into his eyes. Her eyes were stricken with fear and seemed to have shed a few tears as they ran down her face.

It made Davisʼs heart feel some pain, but he coldly looked at her and raised one of his hands, shaping it into a spear.

”Sorry, Vereina. I donʼt know any other way, but believe me. Iʼll see you later in the other world.”

”You- You wouldnʼt! You would cause her to die- NOO!!!”

*Puchi!~*

Davis stabbed right into Vereinaʼs chest, his hand piercing through her and extending out from her body.

She gazed at him, her eyes slowly widening as though she couldnʼt believe what he had just done.

Blood flowed out copiously without a stop. It wasnʼt blood but soul force that made up her manifestation in her mental realm, which meant he just harmed her soul essence badly, which may cause her to die.

When Davis blinked, he was already back in the fifth level. The last thing he heard was the miserable and shrill scream of Lilliana Rayton, but he didnʼt care as he knew he had gotten rid of her. Instead, he quickly looked at Vereina, who was in his arms, but her head hung lower. She wasnʼt breathing either, looking as though she had died.

With his fingers still pressed on her forehead, he investigated.

”…” Davisʼs expression had turned unsightly. He didnʼt think he used too much power as he aligned it with her power level.

However, her Violent Punitive Soul Physique had still ruptured!

*Ripp!~*

Abruptly, a dark wraith appeared above them and slashed its terrifying claws at them.
