Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4024  Third Void Dust Sanctuary

”Iʼve thought about it while we had fun.”

Davis started, ”Rule two is glaringly not funny. I could play games and not return while I have you all safe within the Second Void Dust Sanctuary, but during the covenantʼs ten-year period, if it comes under attack by some kind of force, whether it be the Heavenʼs Warriors, evil cultivators, calamities or anomalies, I would undoubtedly return to your side to vanquish our enemies, but if this happens five years later down the line, then I would be stuck in that realm for ten more years, giving the Celestial Transcendent five full years to hunt me down after the tenth year. It is imperative that I return right now to shorten that gap as much as possible.”

”But,” He raised his hand and extended a finger, ”I could be wrong since my avatar is probably under the covenant as well. For all we know, it cannot leave the Whispering Wildlands Lower Realm already, so rule two might already be in effect. Then, once the main body, which is me, enters the Whispering Wildlands Lower Realm, it will also be subjected to that rule. If that is the case, I could afford to fool around, but if that time actually resets upon the main bodyʼs return or time never moved in the first place for the avatar, Iʼm screwed again.”

”He… hehe...”

Tia could barely breathe out a giggle. At a glance, this covenant may seem to be full of holes, but it was practically an open invitation for Davis to try taking advantage of the loopholes and make a mistake. But then it also warned him of dangers by making the sword stabbed into his soul vibrate, seemingly helping him know that he would break the contract, so which was true?

This was the scary thing about some karmic techniques, especially binding ones. The technique may only be capable of warning against the threats perceived by the user and the opposite party and not the universal truth or the other two combinations.

Her eyes suddenly widened, ”Could this warning big brother spoke of become a trap? It only warns against obvious traps and not vague ones that even the technique users are unaware of? In this case, the Celestial Transcendent would know many things, like where the dimensions are, so the karmic rules he imposed might dictate from his perspective in accordance with the universe instead of the universal truth. After all, it is his technique.”

”A trap?” Davis grabbed his chin and thought, ”It could be. If it is, then it would instantly become the most devious technique instead of a benevolent technique but I find it hard to believe the Celestial Transcendent would go to such lengths.”

”But he did say he wanted you to hopefully make a mistake and die, ridding him of the mission to kill you by himself.” Lea frowned.

”Hmm…” Davis sounded but didnʼt comment, ”In any case, letʼs return as soon as possible. I want to get Lea back to safety and also see Evelynn and the others. My children are also waiting for me, or they will soon ask who in the world I am if I stay away for ten whole years.”

”Even with your avatar still there?”

”Yes! Using avatars and soul bodies to meet or engage in conversation is considered entirely rude. Adults can forgive or ignore it as we all know we have responsibilities but children would be pissed if we donʼt go meet them using our main bodies.”

Davis wryly chuckled. One complaint from Eterna and Celestia was already enough. He didnʼt want to get the same complaint from Sheria and the others.

”So where am I supposed to build my mini-realm?” Stella fumed, ”Iʼll let you know that I canʼt sense the Second Void Dust Sanctuary from anywhere in this realm.”

This question of hers was not given a response, so she was a bit annoyed.

”I am aware.” Davis nodded, ”We need to go south and enter the Ghostly Crow Lower Realm. You should be able to sense the Second Void Dust Sanctuary from there. Tia and I will work hard to find a suitable hiding place to build the mini-realm. Itʼs also a dark-attributed realm, so it would work in our favor.”

”Very well.” Stella majestically nodded twice.

At this moment, Stella was in the fourth cycle, so she could create four mini-realms.

One was still in the First Haven World.

The First Void Dust Sanctuary built in the Eternal Twilight Lower Realm was destroyed, and the seed was taken back.

The Second Void Dust Sanctuary built in the Whispering Wildlands Lower Realm was where they were currently hidden.

The seed used to create the First Void Dust Sanctuary was then used to create a tiny mini realm for the purpose of hiding prisoners. After the covenant and the prisoners were released, the seed was again taken back.

Therefore, Stella possessed two seeds right now, which meant she could create two more mini-realms. She thought of leaving one here, but if it was just the next realm, then she guessed there was no need to place it here.

Before they left, Tia got the last shipment of resources that would help their familyʼs cultivation growth. It came from the Opulent Shell Company. Illumina and Vereina accompanied Tia, so there was extra security for Tia.

Davis remained with Lea to look after her. He was not leaving her side, and the two of them were still acting like love birds.

A day later, Davisʼs party headed to the Ghostly Crow Lower Realm and began to look for appropriate places. It took two days, but they eventually found one, and Stella began to create the mini-realm and named it the Third Void Dust Sanctuary.

It took her three days to stabilize the space in order to use the spatial shifting technique.

While Stella was expanding and stabilizing the space, Davis took Calypsea away to enter the Empyrean Stage. However, they returned sooner as Davis changed his mind.

One, Lea had become pregnant, and having a berserk-prone spirit like Calypsea inside her was very dangerous. They would have no choice but to cancel the spirit pact, which might create trust issues for little Calypsea. It was unfortunate but a real issue.

Two, Calypsea might hit the ceiling of this mortal layer soon and accidentally overuse her powers, which might cause her to have the same fate as Autarch Elluro Coldwing. He also wanted to feed her a diluted Gilded Realm Ascendant Pill, so the risk was high.

Lastly, he felt it might be better to do it later, far away from any of the realms they were in, since he really did not have any place where he could hide an Anarchic Divergentʼs Tribulation of Empyrean scale. The plan would be to have Calypsea face her tribulation while he defended her, but it has not been many days since the covenant.

It was unknown if the Celestial Transcendent truly left.

For now, he wanted to stay low.

Therefore, they finally decided to shift back to their home, the Second Void Dust Sanctuary.
