Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4008  Stole A Kiss?

Vereina quickly sat up and turned to look at Davis with a frown. She even sized him up as though he couldnʼt tell that he was too arrogant.

She stole a kiss from him? In what world…?

However, she saw that his expression was solemn instead of the usual smirk she would see when he was teasing her.

”I mean, come on.” She clenched her fists, her cheeks turning red, ”I know you know that I caught some- more than enough feelings for you, but you know me. I would never force my feelings onto ano-”

Suddenly, she paused.

Her expression continuously changed from one of confusion and realization to acceptance and embarrassment. She placed a palm on her face, never having appeared so dazed that even her ears turned crimson. Even the back of her pale hands took on a red hue.

”So you were delirious as a drunk woman at that time. Great…”

Davis understood what was going on. It was not uncommon when a soul injury was involved. He guessed her memories were just juggled that she had to fumble to find it. He stood up, appearing to leave. He intended to give her some time to think about it.

”Wait…!”

Abruptly, Vereina reached out her hand and caught his hand. Her grasp was as firm as the time she held him for her life.

He stopped and turned to look at her, but her head was lowered. She quivered ever so lightly, seemingly trying to force out some words.

”I… Iʼm sorry… I thought… I was going to never see you again when that old witch possessed me, and I… realized…”

”You being selfish isnʼt anything new.”

Davis cupped her hand and sat back on the chair, staring into her eyes directly, ”But you made a decision and dragged me into it, and now I have to weigh what you mean to me. Your feelings are genuine. I can tell. However, I have the same answer to everyone who wants a piece of me: I am not free anymore. As much as it pains me to reject a beauty, my heart doesnʼt easily sway anymore, so if you wish to pursue me, put in the effort. If you donʼt like it, feel free to forget about it.”

”…” Vereinaʼs gaze shook.

However, her expression only grew more determined.

”Give me a chance to prove myself to you. I swear I wonʼt lie to you anymore and become worthy of your affection. Will you… keep me by your side until then…?” She asked hesitantly, appearing worried that he would reject.

Davis could only chuckle. He patted her hand and let her go as he stood up.

”The Davis Family is open to capable people who can see what is evil and are willing to guard us from danger. Divergents could be one of them too. You are welcome, Vereina.”

”…”

Vereinaʼs lips curled into a bright smile. It was as though she had no darkness within her heart.

”Thank you~” She moved her lips, her voice containing endless gratitude and affection.

Davis gave her a thumbs-up and left.

Back then, he felt a bit bad for not caring about her. He still remembered how her back looked lonely when he coldly rebuked her for being so selfish and shameless enough to want King-Tier Six-Headed Hydra Fey Soul Essence without putting in the effort.

But right now, he felt like he made his wrongs right as he formally welcomed her.

Her genuine smile was more proof than he needed that she was satisfied right now. He was also satisfied with this result.

He headed towards the hall to find Lea but then heard that she was in the kitchen. He sneaked there and surprised her from behind.

”…!”

Lea almost jumped, but as two arms wrapped around her willowy waist, she knew it was Davis, which caused her to calm down and beam.

”Lunch is almost done. Please wait, husband~”

”Hoho- let me look.” Davis panned his gaze while still holding her.

The aromatic essence of the feast, which contained a variety of mouthwatering dishes, was great, but his nose was attracted by another scent that was more than aromatic. It was downright seductive. His face cut into the crook of her neck as he placed a gentle kiss.

”Mn~”

Lea moaned lightly.

”Aa… nn…”

Davis seemed to be unable to contain himself and placed a line of kisses rising up to the back of her ear before he bit her ear and suckled on her earlobe. His naughty hands climbed up and fondled her peaks.

Leaʼs face increasingly grew red. The part where he was attacking was rushed with crimson.

All of this made it increasingly difficult for her to control the flames and ready the dishes, but eventually, she managed to complete them.

Once she was done, Davis suddenly lifted her up into a princess carry.

He summoned his lightning spirit.

She came flying from a cultivation chamber and quickly appeared before him, her lips still arcing with remnant annihilative heavenly lightning he gave to feed her and increase her cultivation.

”Eldia, help me out and deliver these delicacies to Tia and the others.”

Eldia looked at Davis, Lea, and the dishes. She looked back at them and gave them a double thumbs up with a lewd smile.

”I knew I could count on you.” Davis smirked, ”Also, take care of Calypsea. Make sure you stay with her. If Calypsea doesnʼt burn anything, I will give you more annihilative heavenly lightning.”

”Mhmhmhm!!!”

Eldia gave more thumbs up while still munching on annihilative heavenly lighting, indicating that she would do it.

Lea summoned Calypsea and left her with Eldia.

”Calypsea, be a good girl~”

Davis princess-carried Lea as he rushed out. Her words echoed to Calypsea, who could only blink, wondering what was happening, but her attention was quickly grabbed by the feast.

”Ooh~” She rushed towards it and began eating. Since her body was made up of spirit flesh as she had undergone her spirit tribulation, she could consume food just fine.

”Mhm~ Tasti~” She cupped her cheeks and looked as though she was going to devour the whole thing as her crimson-gold eyes gleamed, but Eldia stopped her before she could do it and brought her and the dishes to the hall.

Tia and the others then partook in the feast.

Meanwhile, Davis rushed all the way to his room and put Lea on the bed, sinking his fangs into her neck like a feral beast.

”Aaaahn~”

Lea no longer held back her moans. Having been teased a lot in the kitchen, she was beyond saving now.

”I wasnʼt able to take you to a city to have a date, but I can no longer endure wanting you, Lea.”

”My dear~” Lea echoed in ecstasy, ”I can also no longer endure. I need you badly~”

The face of a dignified woman crumbled like glass under his machinations.

Their lower bodies squirmed as they got half-naked, and Davis, unable to endure despite having gone many rounds with Stella, plunged his thick and long rod into her hole. Instantly, the both of them let out wild grunts and moans as they began to grind against each other.
