Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4021  A Sword To The Soul

”Was there no other way?”

Lea closed her eyes, her expression full of hurt.

She couldnʼt believe Davis once again threw his life on the line like that.

Life wasnʼt going to be that simple. When things go out of control, he may make a mistake, which causes his soul to rupture and scatter.

”Well,” Davis stretched his soul body, ”The other choice wouldʼve been to face the Celestial Transcendent in a few months or even weeks, which wouldʼve ended in a disaster even if I survived.”

He turned to look at Lea, his eyes gentle. Even if he survived, it was not clear if his people would survive. He didnʼt want to take that chance unless there was no other way.

He exhaled with a bright smile, ”Whatʼs done is done. We canʼt look back, Lea. After we return home, it would be your duty to convince your sisters.”

”Thatʼs going to be difficult.” Lea wryly smiled, ”Everyone is going to blame me for not coming up with a better method. Perhaps it was Myria who was here…”

”If anyone blames you, they would be incurring my wrath.” Davis chuckled.

He took her hand and left the Discordant Clouds of the Vast Dream, leaving behind the only table that had marked the deal of a lifetime.

The soul body lacked the power to challenge this danger zone, so he didnʼt bother going deeper.

They traversed from the Ghastly Cloud Sovereign Lower Realm to the Ghostly Crow Lower Realm and finally to the Three-Headed Hydra Realm. They made sure to hide their presence, and the Celestial Transcendent shouldnʼt be following them, or he would break his promise and have to give them a hundred yearsʼ time.

However, they didnʼt go as far as to move all the way to their current hideout.

When their soul bodies reconnected with their main bodies, they chose to disperse.

In their current hideout in the Three-Headed Hydra Lower Realm, two figures, a man and a woman, were squirming on the bed.

They were none other than Davis and Lea.

Lea feverishly moaned as she received his thrusts. His mouth was thoroughly ravaging her bosoms as he latched onto them like a leech and sucked them off with erotic noises. He smothered her bosoms, burying his face in them while pistoning her. Their bodies were covered in perspiration and a lot of essences, indicating they had been at it for a long time already.

But suddenly, they stopped at the same time, their eyes going wide.

”I see…” Davisʼs enamored eyes turned clear, ”So thatʼs what fully happened…”

”Oh my~”

Lea was embarrassed that she made such a scene in front of her husband and the Celestial Transcendent.

Now, they knew all that had happened during the exchange.

=======

Back then, after three days of dual cultivation, Davis and Lea stopped and waited for the Celestial Transcendent.

However, even after two more days, there was no sign of the Celestial Transcendent.

After sending the soul bodies away to the Ghastly Cloud Sovereign Lower Realm, Davis had almost nothing to do other than wait, so he approached Tia and began taking lessons from her on Karma Laws. He was sincere, listening to Tiaʼs teachings.

But Lea also joined the lessons.

After all, her apocalyptic flames also had the property of karmic attack. She wanted to improve her power on that end too.

With both of them joining and becoming Tiaʼs students, they began to understand more about Karma Laws. They could understand why Mystic Diviner Hailac would want to stick to Tia. Tia was also a good teacher despite her looks and age.

However, their focus could only be kept at an optimal level so much.

There was no sign of the Celestial Transcendent, but Davis was still worried, so he occasionally excused himself to go out and keep a watch. He was worried the other party might suddenly show up, as there was no telling how powerful the Celestial Transcendentʼs ability to locate his foes was.

Even if they were shielded by Tia, Davis was convinced with a skillful mind and countless people available to work with at his fingertips, it was just a matter of time before the Celestial Transcendent found them.

While he was worried, then came Lea who wished to cheer his spirits up but the moment their eyes met, somehow it ended up turning passionate.

They threw themselves onto the bed and went for another round.

After that was finished, they went back to Tia to learn Karma Laws, but when Davis went out, Lea also followed to share her thoughts. She also indulged in him, even giving him quickies.

Davisʼs mind trembled to know that his Lea was becoming more and more bold, but it certainly wasnʼt unwelcome. Rather than they were waiting for the inevitable, this place practically became their love nest. He passionately held and made love with her, fully intent on making her moan loudly in pleasure.

This continued for days until Fallen Heaven reported to him that the scab avatar had activated and met with the Celestial Transcendent.

Davis was shocked as he had been releasing loads at that time and stuck inside Lea, but soon after, he regained his composure and waited for the Celestial Transcendent to head to the Ghastly Cloud Sovereign Lower Realm and meet his soul body.

In a few hours, his soul body came into contact with the Celestial Transcendent. Fallen Heaven reported that, so he was waiting for the conclusion.

*Bzzz!~*

In the hall, a bright sword suddenly formed above his head, hanging like the Sword of Damocles. He was alarmed at first, and so was Lea who accompanied him in the hall but noticing that it didnʼt immediately fall but communicate loudly, relaying the rules that the Celestial Transcendent said, he widened his eyes.

”Honey~ Please donʼt…” Lea uttered in a low voice while biting her lips, tears falling down her eyes.

The fact that this happened meant that her soul body couldnʼt obtain a better alternative for the family, so her soul body had no choice but to go with these four restrictive rules.

”Seems good though…” Davis chuckled lightly.

To him, the negotiation failing was the one that wouldʼve sent him to the edge and make use of his other plan, to kill all those captured Heavenʼs Warriors on the spot and make use of the Heavenly Blight Hall to target the people belonging to Heavenʼs Warriors.

Only his family was being targeted? He had enough of that.

As the Fifth Apostle, he already contacted Cyprusio, the Dark Archbishop, using the medallion and relayed certain orders. Their exchange didnʼt even last a minute, but Cyprusio was ready to listen to anything since the medallion was with him. It was just as the Third and Fourth Dark Apostles said.

Davis was intrigued and had them ready on standby.

As long as he was tipped over to the edge, he was about to give the next set of orders, which was to hunt their family members down and give them a taste of what it feels like to be in his shoes. He was ready to show them hell. Now, he no longer felt the need to do so.

Taking a deep breath, Davis relaxed.

*Rip!~*

The sword fell, and he didnʼt resist because he knew that was what his soul body had decided for him.

When it fell and split him in two, he didnʼt feel anything

Clenching his fists, he opened his eyes and exhaled a long breath. He then checked his soul sea and saw that a pure white sword stabbed his soul essence on the edge. However, there was no pain. He didnʼt feel any weight or pressure whatsoever. Still, this sword sure did exist.

He knew he was not hallucinating, so this must mean-

”The karmic binding is complete…”
