Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4016  The Celestial Transcendent Visits

Reunited with the Heavenʼs Warriors, the Celestial Transcendent was able to stock up on some items that allowed him to traverse quickly.

It didnʼt take him two hours for him to reach the Ghastly Cloud Sovereign Lower Realm. There, the Ghastly Cloud Sovereign, the Realm Master, personally welcomed him. Of course, the Eternal Twilight Sovereign, the Eternal Twilight Lower Realmʼs Realm Master, also met him back in his realm after the incident with the Divine Emperor of Death before he could leave.

The Eternal Twilight Sovereign didnʼt hesitate to kowtow and personally apologize for letting a calamity run amok in his realm, causing the Heavenʼs Warriors to be shocked, but that only increased the reputation of the Supreme One in their heart. Since most of them were in the Lower Realms, they couldnʼt fully grasp the position of what it meant to be called the Supreme One, even though they were aware that the Supreme One was the most respected individual.

They didnʼt know he was the strongest individual in their galaxy. Most didnʼt even know he was called the Celestial Transcendent. To them, he was the most respected higher-up who managed to earn the respect of all Heavenʼs Warriors Organizations that they all had to listen to him. To them, he was a responsible and dignified Heavenʼs Warrior who occasionally visited the Lower Realms in his vast lifespan spanning billions of years and helped them deal with terrifying enemies.

His achievements made them all respect him. Only people like Autarch Elluro Coldwing and other leaders and elders of the Heavenʼs Warrior Organizations knew who the Supreme One was.

He was the ruler of their galaxy! Such a being never put on airs and made them all feel endlessly worshipful of his stature.

Nevertheless, the Eternal Twilight Sovereign proposed to accompany the Celestial Transcendent to vanquish evil, but the latter declined.

Once the Celestial Transcendent arrived in the Ghastly Cloud Sovereign Lower Realm, he also declined the Ghastly Cloud Sovereign, who offered to accompany him.

As the Divine Emperor of Death required, he made it all the way to the Discordant Clouds of the Vast Dream alone.

He strode through mist-laden mountains, descending into the heart of the Discordant Clouds of the Vast Dream.

The air shifted with a hazy glow, seemingly distorting light while casting an eerie veil over the surroundings. Tendrils of ghostly fog twisted around towering, jagged cliffs that stretched endlessly into the sky, each one appearing both distant and uncanny.

There was an oppressive weight hanging around, but to the Celestial Transcendent, it did nothing.

In fact, it dispersed upon touching him as though unable to maintain its malicious tendency to affect the karma of a living being. It appeared to be purified wherever he went.

The Celestial Transcendent didnʼt travel far. He had just breached the outer region and entered the inner region when he saw a jagged mountain. Above the cliff, there seemed to be life signatures.

He floated up and looked at a purple-robed man seated before a round table. There was also a crimson-robed woman by his side, which made him blink.

Nonetheless, that didnʼt stop him from moving towards them and taking a seat as though he was joining old friends after a long time.

He even reached out his hand and took the refreshments, drinking without a care in the world.

”Hmm. This is good… not a bad welcome for someone whoʼs going to end you.”

The Celestial Transcendent smilingly nodded at Davis.

Davis kept his smile, truly intrigued, ”The fact that youʼre here means youʼve met my scab avatar, or did you find me on your own? If thatʼs the case, then I must say you will be disappointed because Iʼm just a soul body. In any case, Iʼve been waiting for a long time, Celestial Transcendent.”

”For what reason have you brought your woman here? You do know that my karmic attacks could virtually send you into a coma, at the very least, right? For you to bring her here, Iʼm disappointed in you. Youʼre forcing me. She could die. Itʼs a bad move.”

The Celestial Transcendent looked to be berating Davis. He didnʼt seem amused with his decision to endanger his woman here, appearing dismissive of his actions.

”Beautiful fairy, Iʼll give you the opportunity to leave before things get ugly.”

He turned to look at Lea.

Lea appeared intrigued by the Celestial Transcendent. His bearing was completely calm, and he didnʼt treat this situation or them as though it was something that needed to be exterminated at all costs.

”Itʼs fine.” Davis couldnʼt help but chuckle, ”We got a special Mystic Diviner whoʼs capable of guarding against your attacks from such a long range, and we have the environmental advantage of a karmic shroud. To target us properly, you need to lift it first, which will take some time. Isnʼt that right, my dear Lea?”

”Yes, dear~” Lea held his hand, ”The Celestial Transcendent mightʼve said something like that, but why should you be the only one to shoulder the weight of survival? We will partake in it too.”

She cast a prideful gaze at the Celestial Transcendent, ”Youʼre disparaging us if you think we are in this just to hide behind him, Celestial Transcendent.”

The Celestial Transcendentʼs stern expression slowly faded as he stared at her. His expression was replaced with a smile before he turned to look at Davis.

”As I expected. You love your family and made your preparations alright. But if it comes down to it, I still donʼt think you can survive a karmic attack from me. If you think that the forged treasure from a Primeval Law Treasure is going to save you, then youʼre very wrong. If your wish was to convince me of something, you shouldʼve brought Little Myria instead.”

”I considered it but then thought it would be insincere for me to be bringing her. It could have the opposite effect of angering you if you thought I was using her for my survival.”

Davis shook his head, ”Iʼm curious as to why the world hasnʼt learned of return yet, but the way it remains is fine with me. In fact, Iʼd like to thank you for not revealing her presence. She has suffered enough. At the same time, I would also like to thank you for saving my little sister from an inquisition.”

”I didnʼt do it for you. Iʼm just fulfilling an old wish. As for your sister, sheʼs destined for something else, something far greater than you can reach.”

”…” For the first time, Davisʼs eyes went wide, his lips slightly parting.

To have received such praise from the Celestial Transcendent, he couldnʼt help but feel proud, but at the same time, he knew the Celestial Transcendent wasnʼt the type to give empty praises. He probably meant it when he said that Clara could reach far greater heights than him.

He almost shed a tear to hear that not only was she safe but also growing strong. It seemed like her place really was with the Heavenʼs Warriors- no, they were meant to boost her growth.

”Is that so? Iʼm glad to hear it. But— is she still herself?” Davisʼs brows narrowed.

”I donʼt know her upbringing as she doesnʼt like to share her past, but her Will is extraordinary, and her mindset is healthy, different than most Transcendent Truth Eyes masters Iʼve seen.”

The Celestial Transcendent paused, seemingly lamenting for a bit before he shook his head, ”I donʼt think she can be influenced anymore.”

”T-Thatʼs good to know.”

Davis couldnʼt help himself as he stood up and slammed the table with his palms, appearing shaken and moved.

The Heavenʼs Influence— that was the thing he was worried about the most. As long as it didnʼt twist Claraʼs views and mindset, he was confident that she would always be his little sister!
