Chapter 497: The Founding Ceremony of the Land of Flame

”That guy is very strong, and he seems to have mastered Space-Time Ninjutsu. He’s very troublesome.”

Madara’s expression was serious for once.

Originally, he had thought Kenichi was his greatest enemy.

Then Kenichi had been persuaded by Black Zetsu and had successfully joined the Eye of the Moon Plan, becoming an ally.

But he had not expected an even more troublesome person to suddenly appear.

This made Madara feel rather terrible.

After all, that guy was strong enough to make Madara start doubting his own life.

”Space-Time Ninjutsu? Then did his eyes change at all?”

Kenichi narrowed his eyes.

He and Madara were now partners, though each of them had their own motives.

But when it came to the Otsutsuki Clan, Kenichi and Madara were in the same boat.

After all, these Otsutsuki Clan members were arrogant and self-important.

Aside from the Sage of Six Paths and his brother, it was likely that Kaguya and the other Otsutsuki only viewed the people of the Shinobi World as wild animals.

Kaguya had planned to turn the people of the Shinobi World into White Zetsu to serve as biological weapons against the other Otsutsuki Clan members.

This proved that Kaguya knew she was not strong enough.

From that, a simple equation could be formed.

Kaguya was stronger than either one of the Six Paths brothers alone.

Any one of the Six Paths brothers could easily defeat Madara.

However, Kaguya might be weaker than other legitimate members of the Otsutsuki Clan.

Therefore, the future of the Shinobi World could only be described as filled with hidden dangers.

”No. His eyes didn’t change much. He doesn’t seem to have mastered any ocular ninjutsu.”

Madara naturally knew what Kenichi was asking, so he shook his head.

During the battle, Madara had also noticed that the guy named Jigen truly did not have any special eyes.

Kenichi nodded.

If that was the case, it proved that the guy named Jigen might not have been fighting Madara with his full strength.

He might not even be a complete Otsutsuki Clan member.

In that case, he was not unbeatable.

But the opponent might still be hiding other trump cards.

To deal with Jigen, Kenichi needed to continue becoming stronger.

”Amamiya Kenichi, as my partner, what are your thoughts?”

Madara narrowed his eyes and asked Kenichi.

This young man’s strength was impressive, giving Madara the feeling of seeing Hashirama in the past.

However, if he was only at Hashirama’s level, dealing with Jigen might be somewhat difficult.

”Since the opponent has remained hidden until now without making a sound, it means he isn’t plotting for the entire Shinobi World, but for something else.”

Kenichi rubbed his chin.

Although he did not know what organization that guy named Jigen had founded or why he had remained hidden until now, it was certain that he had no interest in the Shinobi World.

Otherwise, he would have jumped out long ago.

”But the problem is, there’s only so much in the Shinobi World. Uchiha Madara, I heard your Eye of the Moon Plan will activate the Ten-Tails, right? The Ten-Tails must be stronger than these Tailed Beasts, correct? Then what if the opponent wants to become the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki?”

Kenichi put forward a reasonable speculation.

Madara nodded after hearing it.

He felt that if it were him, he would definitely care more about strength.

After all, in the Shinobi World, having enough strength meant having everything.

However, Black Zetsu’s face grew even gloomier.

He lowered his head, pondering the likelihood of Kenichi’s words.

If Jigen was someone like Mother, then he must also know about the Divine Tree.

Would Jigen also want to obtain the Divine Tree?

And then replace Mother’s position in the Shinobi World, or even directly devour Mother?

Black Zetsu felt a surge of fear at this thought.

His only purpose in this world was to free Kaguya.

But now...

”I think we need to change our approach and pursue a more extreme collaboration. The only thing certain now is that if the Five-Tails and Three-Tails are not revived, the Eye of the Moon Plan cannot be successfully implemented. Why don’t we take advantage of this time...”

Kenichi rubbed his hands together with a smile.

Have him go deal with Jigen now?

How was that possible?

Kenichi’s current strength was insufficient.

At the very least, he would only consider dealing with Jigen after successfully researching the Rinnegan in the future.

Moreover, Kenichi remembered that Jigen had never appeared in the original Naruto series.

That meant he would likely only start causing trouble in the future Boruto series.

So, the question was, why did Jigen not appear in the original Naruto series, only much later in the future?

Kenichi felt there might be some problem with Jigen’s current state.

His body might not be suitable for combat, or perhaps Jigen did not have absolute confidence in winning yet, which was why he had not emerged.

He would only make a move when he gained confidence in the future.

This suggested that he was either researching something, or that fighting now would have significant drawbacks for him.

”Black Zetsu, since you discovered that base, I think the opponent has definitely abandoned it and chosen to build a base elsewhere. I’ll have to trouble you to find their new base.”

Kenichi spoke while looking at Black Zetsu.

Although he did not know Jigen’s situation, Kenichi had no intention of letting him develop in peace.

If the opponent wanted to develop, then Kenichi would make it impossible for him to develop.

That would avoid future problems.

”This... I’ll try my best.”

Black Zetsu was not very confident.

To be honest, if it had not been for Kenichi’s previous pressure, Black Zetsu would not have increased his efforts to gather intelligence.

As a result, he had accidentally discovered Jigen’s secret base.

If he had not discovered it, Black Zetsu himself would not have known that an organization was still lurking inside Amegakure.

And now, Jigen must have changed the location of his base.

Finding a hidden base entrance in the Shinobi World was not an easy task.

But Black Zetsu still agreed.

After all, the thought that the opponent might be after Kaguya made Black Zetsu anxious.

He wished he could find Jigen now, then bring Kenichi and Madara to kill Jigen and completely eliminate this future trouble.

”What about you?”

Madara asked Kenichi.

”Me? I’m naturally going to research new weapons. The opponent is so strong, and the more means we have, the better. And that Space-Time Ninjutsu sounds very troublesome.”

Kenichi shrugged.

According to Madara, the person named Jigen seemed able to shrink inanimate objects and make them disappear.

Kenichi felt a headache at this thought.

This meant that weapons like atomic bombs might only be useful against Jigen the first time.

After that, they probably would not work.

To achieve a decisive victory, Kenichi needed to make his weapons more powerful.

So Kenichi actually had a lot to do right now.

But the most important reason was still the deaths of the Three-Tails and Five-Tails.

Otherwise, Kenichi would not be sitting here chatting with Madara and Black Zetsu.

They would have already started fighting.

If he were not worried about Black Zetsu figuring something out, Kenichi would even want to kill the Eight-Tails as well.

That would make the revival time longer, giving him more time for research.

”...Alright.”

Madara was silent for a moment, then did not object.

He had used the weapons Kenichi made, and their effect was very good.

Although they could not compare to his full-power ninjutsu, they were indeed very strong.

Moreover, Madara also knew that Kenichi was holding back and had not brought out his most powerful weapon.

Just like the weapon Kenichi had pulled out at the end of the battle in the Land of Fire.

After seeing off Madara and Black Zetsu, Kenichi slumped into his chair.

He looked at the ceiling and then pinched his brow.

”So troublesome.”

Kenichi sighed.

He had originally thought his ultimate enemy was Kaguya.

Who knew another Otsutsuki Clan member would suddenly pop up?

This made things even more troublesome.

”Lord Amamiya.”

Shiori walked in, holding a document.

She handed it to Kenichi.

Kenichi glanced at it.

It contained the matters he had previously entrusted.

After integrating the power of the entire country, they had successfully found the tombs of Kinkaku and Ginkaku, which would yield more information about the Otsutsuki Clan’s genes.

However, another matter made Kenichi’s scalp tingle.

Because the time for the founding ceremony had arrived.

Kenichi needed to announce the establishment of the Land of Flame and other related matters.

This was a very troublesome task.

Kenichi did not really want to go, but he could not refuse.

After all, he was currently the Daimyo of the Land of Flame.

Although Kenichi did not like this title, the people of the Shinobi World were accustomed to calling their ruler Daimyo.

Previously, some people had even suggested that Kenichi come up with a Kage name, but Kenichi had refused that as well.

So Kenichi’s official title in the Land of Flame was Sensei.

However, the common people were still used to calling him Daimyo.

At Kenichi’s request, the change in address was gradually being implemented.

”Sigh. Do we have a speech?”

Kenichi sighed, looking at Shiori beside him as he asked.

She shook her head.

Who would dare write a speech at a time like this?

This was something Kenichi had to do himself.

Kenichi felt somewhat helpless, but he had no choice but to start writing the speech himself.

”What’s the date today?”

Kenichi stood on the central building of the Land of Flame’s new capital, looking down at the bustling crowd below.

He could not help straightening his clothes.

”Lord Amamiya, today is June tenth.”

Shiori stood beside Kenichi and reminded him softly.

Kenichi nodded.

June tenth.

So, in the future, this date would become the national day of the Land of Flame in the Shinobi World.

Thinking of this, Kenichi turned his head and saw that only a few people were beside him.

Koyuki Kazahana, for once, wore a normal formal dress.

When she saw Kenichi, she even winked at him.

Kenichi could only ignore Koyuki’s moist eyes.

Nagato and Konan were chatting over there.

Konan was tidying Nagato’s clothes with practiced movements, and Nagato’s face had a rare blush.

He looked very excited.

When he saw Kenichi, he nodded at him.

”Kenichi, has your dream come true?”

At that moment, Orochimaru also walked over, dressed in an elaborate red formal robe with a long trailing hem.

Kenichi looked at his carefully dressed teacher, a trace of curiosity flashing through his eyes.

What was going on with Teacher?

Kenichi still remembered that Orochimaru had seemed to have suicidal impulses before.

But now, his teacher seemed to no longer have such thoughts.

And why did Kenichi feel that his teacher had already started to accept his current condition?

Was the Sage of Six Paths that ruthless?

”...It’s about half-realized, I suppose?”

Kenichi gripped the railing, looking at the crowd below.

Ninja were forming into squads.

These ninja would soon come up to display their heroic demeanor.

There were also special combat teams made up of ordinary people, though these combat teams were not very significant.

They could not be given biographies yet.

The core remained the special combat teams composed of ninja.

They were equipped with the high-end weapons Kenichi had made, and these were the main force in warfare.

”Half-realized?”

Orochimaru looked at his disciple, a hint of surprise in his eyes.

Only half-realized even after all this?

Then what kind of scene would it be when it was fully realized?

”Cough, cough.”

A few coughs sounded.

Kenichi turned his head and saw that Onoki, A, and Mei had already come up.

These three former Kage were also guests invited by Kenichi.

Minato had been invited as well, but Minato now...

Just as he was thinking this, Kenichi saw Minato appear instantly on the upper floor.

Minato smiled when he saw Kenichi, though he was in a different form now.

He was not using his original face, to avoid being recognized.

”Everyone, welcome.”

Kenichi smiled.

The next to arrive were Amado Sanzu and Shisui.

These veterans who had made outstanding contributions during Kenichi’s nation-building period had all come up.

Although Shisui had not played an enormous role, he had brought the Uchiha Clan into the embrace of the Land of Flame, so he naturally had his place.

”Brother Amamiya!”

Hikari also ran over happily.

After a few days, Hikari had grown a little more.

And at this moment, the time arrived.

Kenichi took a deep breath.

He stood on the main platform and looked down.

At this moment, the television cameras were also aimed at Kenichi, and the broadcast would soon be transmitted throughout the entire Shinobi World.

”People tormented by war, ninja slaughtering each other, and civilians grieving in the flames of battle. A peaceful nation is established at this very moment!”
