Chapter 481: The New Era of the Ninja World and Orochimaru’s Abnormality

”Tsk, tsk. The Otsutsuki Clan really is something.”

Kenichi looked at the computer in front of him, admiration and complexity flashing in his eyes.

”The more Otsutsuki they are, the greater the difference between their bloodline and that of ordinary humans. To a certain extent, members of the Otsutsuki Clan are already a different kind of intelligent life form. But then again, they seem to be aliens to begin with, so this result is actually normal.”

From a genetic perspective, the Otsutsuki Clan and humans were not the same species.

Although the Otsutsuki Clan appeared to have some human characteristics, including facial features, their genes were different from humans, with significant disparities.

It was like the difference between a gorilla and a human.

However, to the Otsutsuki Clan, humans were the gorillas, while they were the more fully developed humans.

This made Kenichi somewhat confused.

Given the current situation, could Kaguya Otsutsuki really have married a person from the Shinobi World and given birth to the Sage of Six Paths and his brother?

Even in that somewhat unbelievable era of his previous life, Kenichi had never seen a woman marry a gorilla and give birth to two ape offspring.

Reproductive isolation was a problem that had to be considered.

If Kaguya Otsutsuki were not still sealed, Kenichi would have wanted to ask her how she gave birth to the Sage of Six Paths and his brother.

Then he would check whether the female body structure of the Otsutsuki Clan was different from that of humans.

If the Sage of Six Paths was truly born from a marriage with a native of the Shinobi World, then Kenichi could only call that man a warrior.

However, Kenichi did not continue dwelling on this question.

He simply looked at Black Zetsu’s genes and compared them with the genes of Madara and Sasuke.

Soon, the comparison yielded results.

A portion of Black Zetsu’s genes was completely identical to those of Madara and Sasuke, and those genes were not present in other ninja.

”The result is pretty much as expected.”

Kenichi narrowed his eyes as he looked at the comparison result in front of him.

It was exactly as he had thought.

However, Kenichi’s heart did not fluctuate much regarding this answer, because a series of previous events had already made him realize that his idea was basically correct.

Ninjutsu, for ninja, was actually a kind of external power.

This was probably equivalent to people in his previous life climbing the technology tree, only for several aliens to suddenly arrive and bring with them a power called magic.

Then magic became very strong, and mages became the mainstream of the world.

But magic, after all, was brought by aliens.

If one did not possess the aliens’ bloodline or abilities, then no matter how talented a person was, they could not reach higher peaks.

Their upper limit would be locked at high-level mages, unable to become demigod mages.

And the solution was very simple.

Let those high-level mages transplant the genes of the aliens, making their bloodline closer to the aliens in order to master stronger power.

”If I didn’t know that these Otsutsuki Clan members came here to plant the Divine Tree, I would suspect these guys were playing StarCraft.”

Kenichi looked at Black Zetsu’s genes, then at Madara’s and Sasuke’s genes, his expression somewhat dim.

The chakra brought by the Otsutsuki Clan was a good medicine, but also a poison.

If his research were to spread, many people in the Shinobi World would certainly take risks, attempting to become Otsutsuki bloodline carriers themselves in order to gain more power.

Such a thing would form a cycle, with others constantly pursuing the Otsutsuki bloodline.

By then, the entire Shinobi World would be filled with inferior Otsutsuki descendants.

At that point, for the sake of bloodline purity and stronger power, there might not even be a need for Black Zetsu to make any plans.

Kaguya Otsutsuki would be spontaneously released by them.

After all, the Shinobi World had always been caught in a vortex of hatred.

Since the chaotic Warring States Period, people had begun pursuing power. Some even pursued more dangerous powers, such as the evil god Hidan believed in, who developed followers by granting others power.

However, Kaguya Otsutsuki had done some good deeds back then.

If she had done nothing and simply been sacrificed to the Divine Tree, then perhaps there would not have been so many later events in the Shinobi World.

”The Otsutsuki Clan has mastered interstellar travel and tree-planting abilities. That means this is a race that has pushed chakra, this new energy source, to its limit. Their eagerness to control the Divine Tree is probably due to the importance of chakra within their clan.”

Kenichi narrowed his eyes, and a peculiar idea formed in his mind.

There was no need to explain how profound chakra was.

Its very existence was an extraordinary bug.

It was a highly effective form of energy with extremely high output efficiency, and its malleability was also very high.

It could be transformed into various ninjutsu and unleashed.

It could even extend life, rewrite geographical environments, and so on.

It had to be said that chakra was an extremely unique energy source.

But since it was so powerful, the scope of chakra’s application might be even wider than Kenichi had imagined.

”If chakra is treated as an energy source, with higher efficacy than electrical or thermal energy, what can chakra be used for?”

Kenichi picked up a light bulb.

The Shinobi World had electricity. There was no doubt about that.

In fact, the Shinobi World’s electrical technology had developed quite a bit. There were things like computers, for example.

But at this moment, Kenichi had a unique idea.

He tried injecting chakra into the light bulb.

The chakra enveloped the bulb, but there was no abnormality.

Kenichi frowned slightly, then retracted the chakra, leaving behind a small amount that he converted into lightning nature.

Immediately, the light bulb suddenly lit up.

The dazzling light made Kenichi squint unexpectedly.

But the light bulb quickly exploded in his hand.

Fragments splattered all over him.

If Kenichi’s physical fitness had not been excellent, he would probably have been injured by now.

A powerful Kage-level expert being scratched by light bulb glass would become a laughingstock among enemies, mocked for hundreds of years.

It would be like a certain emperor who had died on the toilet from overexertion.

Even after so many years, he was still occasionally brought up and mocked by people like Kenichi, who enjoyed a good laugh.

”Chakra is indeed an energy source, but this energy source seems a bit too strong.”

Kenichi looked at the light bulb fragments in his hand and fell into deep thought.

If chakra was an energy source, then some things could be brought out.

But the premise was that he needed to create equipment capable of converting chakra into stable energy output.

At that time, everything that required energy to operate could use chakra as a substitute.

Then the entire Shinobi World would enter a new stage.

A new stage called the Chakra Energy Era.

Cars could appear.

Planes could appear.

Because with powerful chakra as energy support, all energy problems would be completely solved.

And the strongest part was that chakra was a renewable energy source that had almost no impact on the environment.

What should this chakra be called?

Kenichi was willing to call it the God of Energy.

Look at the nature of chakra.

This thing could be extracted by any ninja and stored in their bodies.

That meant that even if chakra was used up, as long as the ninja continued to refine it, chakra would be available again.

Moreover, the chakra conversion rate was very high.

Such an energy source, if it existed in his previous life, would be god-tier.

A repeatable energy source with high efficiency.

Such an energy source would be on par with a nuclear fusion power plant.

The massive energy from nuclear fusion could provide an extraordinary amount of electricity, causing electricity prices to plummet and affecting the global landscape.

Everything related to electricity would then become highly valued.

One could even say that a genin from the Shinobi World, if brought to his previous life, would be worth a country setting up all kinds of welfare benefits for him.

Because as long as science figured out how to convert chakra, it would be equivalent to having an endless energy source.

”So, the main problems before me are two.”

Kenichi stroked his chin.

”First, how to design a container that can store chakra while having a certain degree of resistance, with a chakra leakage rate that cannot be too fast. Second, how to convert chakra into the required energy to make equipment operate.”

As long as these two problems could be solved, Kenichi felt that success was predictable.

Kenichi immediately called someone over and had them forge a small motor out of steel.

This could serve as a small engine.

Kenichi planned to first research how to store chakra and make it stably and continuously power the motor.

After that, he would make larger motors to drive larger things, such as cars.

Even larger things, such as planes and ships, would not be impossible.

With ocean-going cargo ships, Kenichi could control the vast seas of the Shinobi World.

In this Naruto world, the seas were extremely expansive.

Wouldn’t the Shinobi World then directly enter a new era?

Although ninja moved very quickly, the problem was that ninja were also human.

And the appearance of cars could accelerate the transportation of goods, thereby promoting commercial development.

This would greatly benefit the country under Kenichi’s rule, and the people could live better lives.

Thriving commerce could also feed back into other industries, even directly bringing the Shinobi World into the industrial age.

”I wonder about Sensei...”

Kenichi planned to go find Orochimaru.

Although he could research this project himself, Kenichi felt that gathering the wisdom of more people would produce results faster.

However, before he could leave, Amado Sanzu arrived.

”Amamiya-kun, you’ve been...”

Amado walked in with some curiosity.

He had noticed that Kenichi had been cooped up in this laboratory every day recently.

Although Amado had long stopped doing cloning experiments, he rarely saw Kenichi stay in a lab for so long.

So he was somewhat curious whether Kenichi’s research had hit a bottleneck and intended to help him.

”Mr. Amado, do you have any research on energy?”

Kenichi’s eyes lit up when he saw Amado.

This person’s scientific achievements were not low.

If he pulled Amado in, perhaps they could bring the Shinobi World into a whole new era even faster.

”Eh? Are you planning to research a new project?”

Amado looked at Kenichi, naturally knowing that Kenichi’s question had to have a purpose.

But he could not help mentioning the internet that Kenichi had spoken about before.

Hadn’t he said he was going to work on that?

Why had it suddenly changed to some new energy source?

Kenichi scratched his head.

He did want to research the internet, but Orochimaru had not been around these days, and the internet was actually very difficult to develop.

It needed to solve the problem of signal transmission, which was troublesome.

Chakra energy, however, could be researched at any time.

One could even say that chakra energy was more valuable than the internet.

If humans lost the internet, they could still survive after a period of chaos.

But if humans lost energy, that would be a huge problem.

”The internet can be researched later. Mr. Amado, I thought of something very interesting. What do you say...”

Kenichi excitedly pulled Amado along and began talking.

Amado listened, and gradually, his interest was stirred.

He had also noticed that chakra seemed to have other uses, but he had never thought of researching it in this direction.

After all, even if chakra could generate electricity, it did not seem very meaningful.

The Shinobi World already had dedicated power plants, so there was no need to invest further.

But now, after listening to Kenichi, Amado felt that conducting this research might not be a bad idea after all.

”If it’s about storage, there are actually some metals that can store chakra. We can start from that aspect...”

Amado discussed it with Kenichi with great enthusiasm.

He really wanted to see how the world-changing idea Kenichi spoke of would unfold.

”This is really troublesome.”

In a hidden underground experimental base, Orochimaru sat on the operating table.

He looked at his current body, then raised his head and looked into the mirror in front of him. He could not help touching his face.

Orochimaru was very satisfied with this body.

The damage to his soul was very low.

However, recently, Orochimaru had discovered a problem.

He seemed to be gradually losing his former self.

He had started learning how to apply makeup and dress himself differently, and he had started caring about how others saw him.

This was very wrong.
