Naruto: Orochimaru's Disciple

Chapter 496: Chapter 496: Me, Fight the Otsutsuki? Really?

Chapter 496: Me, Fight the Otsutsuki? Really?

”There’s something wrong with your sealing ninjutsu. It’s a sealing technique, but it doesn’t look very stable. This could easily lead to chakra breaking through and causing the seal to fail.”

Kushina was worthy of being a master of sealing ninjutsu. She immediately spotted the flaw in Kenichi’s technique and pointed it out.

Kenichi nodded when he heard this, though the instability was actually intentional.

That was precisely the effect he wanted.

However, judging from Kushina’s demeanor, even though she did not possess a Mangekyo Sharingan like Kenichi, she seemed to have her own method for judging sealing ninjutsu.

Was this a talent of the Uzumaki Clan?

Or was it Kushina’s own talent?

”Sister Kushina, I want to research a sealing ninjutsu that can stably extract stored chakra at an extremely low efficiency. That’s why I tried to leave a channel for chakra to flow out.”

Kenichi planned to get some inspiration from Kushina.

Kushina knew a lot about sealing ninjutsu, so perhaps she could give him some help.

”Like that? Isn’t there already one? It can stably extract chakra from a ninja, and the efficiency can even be adjusted.”

Kushina scratched her head, looking at Kenichi with some confusion.

Kenichi was even more stunned when he heard this.

What did Kushina just say?

There was already such a ninjutsu?

Why had Kenichi himself...

Kenichi fell into deep thought.

He seemed to recall a movie he had watched before, where there seemed to be such a technique that could stably extract the chakra of imprisoned ninja, rendering them unable to resist.

Kenichi remembered that Hinata and some villagers had been captured, and later Naruto naturally went to rescue them, defeated the villain, and successfully ended the crisis.

Moreover, even without mentioning those movies, some prisons within various Ninja Villages also had similar sealing ninjutsu to control captured enemy ninja, preventing them from escaping or resisting.

Otherwise, if a ninja were imprisoned in a village without any restraints, that would not be imprisonment.

That would be inviting trouble.

In fact, the place where each Ninja Village used sealing ninjutsu the most was probably the hellish place known as prison.

Kenichi’s mouth twitched.

He must have lost his mind to have forgotten that such a ninjutsu already existed in the Shinobi World.

If he had known earlier, he would not have wasted so much time struggling with it.

So Kenichi asked Kushina for a copy of this ninjutsu, then awkwardly rubbed Naruto’s head and left under Naruto’s expectant gaze.

After seeing Kenichi leave, Naruto’s face showed a trace of bitterness.

He still wanted to be with his teacher.

After all, his teacher’s lessons were very interesting.

Although his father, Minato, was also very powerful, when it came to teaching people, he was truly...

It made Naruto feel very painful.

”With sealing ninjutsu settled, the next step is to create a sealing technique or formation that can convert stably outputted chakra into Lightning Release chakra?”

Kenichi did not know Naruto’s thoughts.

He was currently conceiving his engine.

But if he did know, he would probably sigh at the unpredictability of life.

Compared to Naruto in the original work, the current Naruto was undoubtedly living a very comfortable life.

Although he had suffered for a period during childhood, after being taken away by Kenichi, Naruto had parents and a teacher.

He could be a normal child and was no longer called a demon fox by others.

Everyone respected Naruto, though those people were actually respecting Naruto’s teacher, Kenichi himself.

But at least the current Naruto no longer had to experience the life he once had in Konoha.

Every year on his birthday, he could enjoy the company of his parents.

Naruto’s current life was much better than before.

If Naruto from the original work could also transmigrate, he would probably wish to live a life like this.

Kenichi scratched his head.

He decided to first check whether there were similar ninjutsu in the Shinobi World.

Otherwise, making such a fool of himself again would be extremely embarrassing.

However, to Kenichi’s disappointment, there was no such ninjutsu in the Shinobi World.

After all, for most ninja, ninjutsu was used to kill.

They pursued higher lethality and lower chakra consumption.

So naturally, no one would research how to extract a tiny bit of sealed chakra and then convert it into chakra of another attribute.

”This work isn’t complicated. The difficult part is how to engrave it onto Samehada and combine it with this sealing ninjutsu.”

Kenichi fell into deep thought as he looked at the sealing ninjutsu in his hand.

After all, if the two techniques could be closely linked, or even made into one ninjutsu, then the chakra consumption of this ninjutsu would be minimized.

Chakra waste could also be avoided, maximizing the effectiveness of the engine.

Kenichi planned to start with chakra nature transformation.

Chakra nature transformation was something almost every ninja could do.

After all, not everyone had every chakra nature.

Some ninja had a single chakra nature, some had two, and some had three.

If they wanted to use other ninjutsu, they needed to learn chakra nature transformation.

Kenichi had also learned about this from Orochimaru, so naturally, he knew some things now.

”Was I discovered?”

At that moment, in the old site of Amegakure, a man in strange clothing, with peculiar symbols on his face, looked down expressionlessly at the motionless Madara below and muttered softly.

”This is really troublesome. I’ve been hiding so deeply. Was it done by someone from that so-called Land of Flame?”

The black markings on Jigen’s face slowly dissipated.

However, using the power of Karma before the plan was ready had also caused some impact on Jigen’s body.

If he had not done so, Jigen would not have been able to stop this man calling himself Uchiha Madara.

Jigen’s expression did not look good.

He had been hiding in the Shinobi World for many years, even secretly creating an organization called Kara, then hiding in Amegakure while silently observing this world and searching for a way for him, Otsutsuki Isshiki, to survive.

But he had never expected to be detected by an enemy, who then came knocking.

As for this man named Uchiha Madara, Jigen naturally knew about him.

But he had not paid attention to Madara before.

Instead, he had focused on finding a way for himself to survive, then on letting the Divine Tree bear fruit so he could settle accounts with Otsutsuki Kaguya, that traitor.

But now...

”So troublesome.”

Jigen sighed.

His body was even more damaged now.

But since he had already been exposed, he had to change locations.

And that guy Amado had also betrayed him, so he needed to find a more secluded location and wait for the right moment.

Thinking of this, Jigen silently left this base that was destined to be abandoned by him and took his materials elsewhere.

Black Zetsu, hiding on the perimeter, suppressed his presence and did not even dare glance at Jigen.

His body was trembling.

Black Zetsu had never expected such a person to exist in the Shinobi World.

And after being bombed by the weapon he had taken from Kenichi, the opponent could still emerge and fight Madara, even sending the fully powered Edo Tensei Madara back to the Pure Land with his soul severely wounded.

Such power was definitely not something an ordinary ninja could achieve.

Black Zetsu had also noticed that when black markings appeared on the opponent’s face, his aura suddenly changed, becoming somewhat familiar to Black Zetsu.

That made Black Zetsu realize that the opponent must also be a member of the Otsutsuki Clan.

But...

”That shouldn’t be...”

Black Zetsu could not quite figure it out.

Although his mother had hastily abandoned him because she was being sealed, Black Zetsu remembered that only his mother in the entire Shinobi World was from the Otsutsuki Clan.

Neither the Sage of Six Paths nor the Sage of Six Paths’ brother could reach his mother’s level.

But the guy just now gave Black Zetsu the feeling of his mother in the past.

The opponent could not be a descendant of the Six Paths brothers.

The opponent was so powerful that he could only be an Otsutsuki Clan member.

So what exactly was going on?

The opponent had been hidden for so long. Why had he not heard any news before?

What exactly did the opponent want to do?

Black Zetsu’s expression was extremely grim.

He waited until Jigen left, then emerged from underground and returned to Madara’s secret base, where he used Edo Tensei on Madara.

”The opponent is very strong.”

Madara sat up.

His body was somewhat damaged, and his soul was injured.

It would take some time for him to fully recover now.

Fortunately, he had prepared an Edo Tensei body of himself as a backup, so Black Zetsu would not need to seek Kenichi’s help again.

However, what Madara was most concerned about right now was still the existence of that strange person.

The opponent called himself Jigen, but Madara had no knowledge of this person’s existence.

”Very strong?”

Black Zetsu wanted to hear Madara’s opinion.

”Very strong. If I retrieve my Rinnegan, I might still feel some pressure against him, unless I can obtain the power of the Divine Tree.”

Madara’s expression was not good.

He considered himself invincible in the Shinobi World.

Especially after Hashirama died, he had rarely felt such helplessness.

But now, facing the enemy named Jigen, after black markings appeared on the opponent’s face, Madara had found himself being suppressed.

Even at the end, Madara did not know whether the opponent had used his full power.

If not, then the opponent still had trump cards.

Was he already so weak?

Madara was beginning to doubt his life.

”Such a person, so powerful, yet hidden for so long. He must have extensive schemes. He might even know your main body’s plan. If he...”

Black Zetsu was very worried.

Although he was partly acting, he was genuinely concerned.

After all, if Madara could not even defeat the opponent, what would he do if the opponent decided to overturn the table?

And how many people in the Shinobi World now could match that Jigen?

That was also a problem.

”...”

Madara was uncharacteristically silent for a moment.

He indeed did not know how to deal with this problem.

He even doubted whether he could be Jigen’s match after regaining his Rinnegan.

For a time, the entire base became very quiet.

”Huh? Me, fight Jigen? Really?”

Kenichi looked at the grim-faced Madara and Black Zetsu in front of him and spoke in surprise.

Madara crossed his arms and closed his eyes without speaking.

Black Zetsu sighed.

”That guy named Jigen is very dangerous and troublesome. My main body challenged him and still hasn’t fully recovered from his injuries yet. He has been hiding so deeply, so he must be planning something.”

Black Zetsu explained while Kenichi poured two cups of tea for Madara and Black Zetsu.

In his heart, Kenichi was thinking about how to solve this matter.

Jigen.

Kenichi did not know who he was, but after hearing Black Zetsu’s explanation, he deduced that this Jigen was probably a member of the Otsutsuki Clan.

Otherwise, how could he so easily kill the current Madara?

One had to know that although the current Madara was not in his strongest form, his strength was definitely not weak.

Yet the current Madara was not Jigen’s match.

The opponent’s identity was obvious.

It was probably only Madara, that unlucky pawn, who had not thought in the direction of the Otsutsuki Clan.

Kenichi sank into thought.

Was the Otsutsuki Clan strong?

Very strong.

Undoubtedly strong.

The appearance of the Otsutsuki Clan as the final boss was actually a bit deliberate, even forced for the sake of the subsequent plot.

After all, there had been almost no foreshadowing before, and then Kaguya suddenly appeared, incredibly powerful.

If not for the help of the Sage of Six Paths, Naruto and Sasuke might truly not have been able to defeat Kaguya.

And by combining some information about Kaguya, it could be seen that the Otsutsuki Clan was an extremely powerful race.

They themselves possessed the characteristic of gathering immense power, and they also possessed interstellar travel technology.

Although Kenichi felt that they probably had not reached the level of wormhole jumping, being able to travel between stars to a small planet like the Shinobi World to plant Divine Trees had already surpassed the spaceships of his previous life.

From this, it could be seen that the Otsutsuki Clan was not only accomplished in supernatural power, but also very powerful in science.

Boruto, the sequel to Naruto, might even feature stronger high technology in the future.

If taken further, it could even continue by showing ninja from the Shinobi World deciding to advance toward the Otsutsuki Clan’s planet to face new challenges and so on.

Considering Kishimoto’s previous precedent of suddenly introducing Kaguya and the Otsutsuki Clan, Kenichi believed that the possibility of Kishimoto doing this was very high.

Anyway, at worst, they could just drop in another character at the end.

An arrogant Otsutsuki who had fully absorbed the power of a Divine Tree could appear to investigate Kaguya’s affairs, and that would be enough.
