Chapter 477: Black Zetsu: Stable, Stable

Kenichi looked at Black Zetsu with a benevolent smile.

Black Zetsu was happy because he felt that his plan had succeeded.

Kenichi was also happy because he felt that his own plan had succeeded.

As long as Black Zetsu and Madara did not cause trouble during this period and gave Kenichi enough time to improve his strength, Kenichi would have the confidence to turn hostile in the future.

Moreover, did this count as infiltrating the enemy’s ranks?

After all, Black Zetsu had no idea that Kenichi actually knew the truth about the Eye of the Moon Plan. He also knew that the ultimate goal of this plan was to unseal Kaguya Otsutsuki.

Such an information gap was enough to give Kenichi an absolute advantage when facing Black Zetsu.

”Amamiya Kenichi, what do you plan to do next?”

Black Zetsu walked over, smiling as he looked at Kenichi.

He was very satisfied with Kenichi as a partner.

After all, Kenichi’s strength was good, and he was still alive. He could even kill the Five-Tails and Three-Tails now, subtly showing the potential to become the overlord of the Shinobi World.

As long as he cooperated with Kenichi, Black Zetsu felt that once the Tailed Beasts revived, his mother could be liberated within a few days.

”Hmm.”

Kenichi did not answer immediately. Instead, he pretended to think for a moment.

He also needed to use this method to reassure Black Zetsu.

If he immediately knew what to do next, would that not prove he had been prepared all along?

That might become a reason for Black Zetsu to suspect him.

Any small oversight was unacceptable.

Kenichi did not want to reveal any flaw at this moment of success and be discovered by Black Zetsu. If that happened, all his current preparations would become useless.

”If I want to execute this Eye of the Moon Plan, then I think it’s necessary to first unify all five great nations. Once they are unified, all these Tailed Beast Jinchuriki will be under my control. Once the Three-Tails and Five-Tails revive, I can execute the Eye of the Moon Plan and inject all the Tailed Beasts, from the One-Tail to the Nine-Tails, into the Gedo Statue.”

Kenichi explained his plan and felt that this method was quite feasible.

Black Zetsu was not too surprised when he heard this, but he still looked at Kenichi with some astonishment.

He had not expected this madman, Kenichi, to actually be thinking of unifying the five great nations.

Even Hashirama, who had once dominated the entire Shinobi World, had not achieved this.

However, after thinking about it carefully, Black Zetsu realized that Kenichi was indeed doing exactly that.

He had truly been trying to unify all five great nations.

First, he occupied the Land of Water.

Now, he had occupied the Land of Lightning.

This guy had been moving step by step toward his goal.

”Hehehe, I really didn’t expect you to be so crazy. You know, even Senju Hashirama, the opponent of my main body, Uchiha Madara, couldn’t do what you’re doing now.”

Black Zetsu let out a sinister laugh.

His heart was filled with smugness.

The more unique Kenichi’s ideas were, and the grander his ambition became, the stronger Black Zetsu’s sense of accomplishment would be after deceiving him.

Even powerful figures like Madara and Kenichi were now fighting for the Eye of the Moon Plan because of his sweet words.

Just thinking of this made Black Zetsu feel incredibly comfortable.

An indescribable sense of satisfaction rose within him, and his gaze toward Kenichi became increasingly mocking.

Kenichi naturally noticed the mockery in Black Zetsu’s eyes.

But Kenichi did not care.

Because Black Zetsu was on the first floor, while he was actually on the fifth.

”But if you want to execute this Eye of the Moon Plan, then how are your preparations going? It can’t be that I’m completely on my own, can it?”

Kenichi looked at Black Zetsu and asked.

He needed to learn from Black Zetsu how far their preparations had progressed.

He also needed to see whether Black Zetsu had any other hidden cards.

Kenichi did not want a repeat of what had happened before, where Madara suddenly intervened in the battle and caught him off guard.

It was best to nip such uncontrollable factors in the bud.

That would also make the smooth implementation of Kenichi’s later plans easier.

”About that...”

Black Zetsu hesitated.

He suddenly thought of that underground base, the one he could not detect no matter how hard he tried.

That strange place was peculiar.

Even someone like Black Zetsu could not find any abnormalities there, which made him somewhat worried.

He had even thought before about letting Kenichi deal with that base.

But now that Kenichi was on his side, Black Zetsu hesitated over whether to tell him about this matter.

”My main body, Uchiha Madara, has already mastered the final elements needed to execute the Eye of the Moon Plan. All you need to do next is capture all the Tailed Beasts, and then our plan can be successfully implemented.”

Black Zetsu finally decided to first say some good news to stabilize Kenichi.

He wanted to avoid making Kenichi feel unwilling to cooperate with them.

After all, if Kenichi could not be brought to their side, then Kenichi would become the biggest obstacle to their plan.

Now that Obito and Madara were still in the Pure Land, Black Zetsu had no better partner.

”So, besides unifying and integrating the five great nations, is there anything else you need me to do?”

Kenichi asked Black Zetsu.

He had a feeling that Black Zetsu’s expression and eyes were a little off.

But Black Zetsu’s face was naturally black, so no obvious expression could be seen.

However, when Kenichi asked just now, he keenly noticed that Black Zetsu’s eyes had looked a little strange, as if something was being hidden from him.

This made Kenichi somewhat confused.

He was now a little worried that something uncontrollable was happening in the shadows.

”If you’re asking about that, then...”

Black Zetsu looked at Kenichi, feeling somewhat conflicted over whether to tell him.

After all, if he did not say anything, he could not explore that base alone.

But if he did tell Kenichi, it might affect the entire Eye of the Moon Plan.

After much deliberation, Black Zetsu finally made his decision.

”If possible, I hope you can use Edo Tensei to reanimate my main body, Uchiha Madara. I have some matters that require my main body to handle.”

Black Zetsu ultimately decided not to tell Kenichi about it.

He planned to let Edo Tensei Madara investigate the situation of that base first.

That base might have been founded by members of the Otsutsuki Clan, just like his mother, Kaguya Otsutsuki.

If it really was the Otsutsuki Clan, then even Kenichi might be somewhat powerless.

”Edo Tensei Madara? That shouldn’t be a problem, but I’ll need you to provide me with some of Madara’s body tissue so I can perform the Edo Tensei operation.”

Kenichi looked into Black Zetsu’s eyes and felt the unease in his heart growing stronger.

But if it was just reanimating Madara, then that was still within a range Kenichi could accept.

After all, Kenichi also wanted to see whether Madara, who had evolved into the Rinnegan through his talent and effort, had any genetic mutations in his body.

That would help confirm Kenichi’s idea.

If it could be successfully verified, then once the clones Kenichi was cultivating grew up, he would be able to obtain the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan and then evolve into the Rinnegan.

Although based on his research, Kenichi believed his idea should not have any problems.

Because Madara’s process of evolving from Sharingan to Rinnegan was, in essence, a phenomenon of atavism in the Otsutsuki bloodline.

”That naturally isn’t a problem. Then let’s meet at the Daimyo’s mansion in the Land of Lightning. I’ll bring part of my main body’s tissue then.”

Black Zetsu readily agreed.

He was now eager to understand that base.

Black Zetsu wanted to know who was inside that base.

Who had founded it?

They were hiding so deeply.

What exactly were they concealing?

The thought that his every move might be watched made Black Zetsu’s heart chill.

Now that Kenichi had agreed to cooperate with him, Kenichi was no longer his immediate concern.

The threat Black Zetsu most wanted to resolve now was that base.

”It seems something interesting has happened.”

Kenichi watched Black Zetsu leave in a hurry and keenly sensed that something had changed.

He was not sure what exactly had changed yet.

But it did not matter.

He would find out sooner or later.

”But I remember that in the Naruto plot, there wasn’t anything that could make Black Zetsu this anxious and uneasy. So what exactly happened?”

Kenichi shook his head and looked at the dilapidated dwelling.

Black Zetsu refused to say, and Kenichi had no choice now but to return to the Land of Lightning and wait for Black Zetsu to deliver Madara’s body tissue.

No matter what happened, Kenichi believed that as long as his strength was sufficient, all problems would stop being problems.

After leaving the hidden dwelling, Kenichi glanced at Konoha in the distance.

Konoha still looked the same, but the walls seemed to have been significantly reinforced.

Kenichi looked at Konoha with a playful expression.

I’m really curious.

What choice will you make?

Upon returning to the Daimyo’s mansion in the Land of Lightning, Kenichi met an unexpected person.

Uchiha Hikari, who had somehow traveled from the Land of Flame to the Land of Lightning.

When he saw Hikari, Kenichi could not help showing a surprised expression. Then that surprise quickly turned into bewilderment and a hint of dread.

Because he saw two scrolls tied to Hikari’s waist.

And Hikari was smiling at him.

Kenichi’s heart could not help trembling.

He thought of the gifts he had received from Hikari before.

Although Kenichi was very grateful for Hikari’s affection for him, sometimes this affection was simply too much.

So much that Kenichi felt a little overwhelmed.

”Ah, this... Hikari, when did you get here?”

Kenichi walked over with a wry smile.

As soon as he approached, Hikari slapped two scrolls into Kenichi’s hands.

Kenichi stared at the two scrolls in his hands, a little stunned, because he saw two words written on them.

The first scroll said ”socks.”

The second scroll said ”military rations pills.”

Kenichi did not even need to open the scrolls to know that they were probably stuffed full.

Hikari’s personality had always been like that.

Whether she had been making gloves or scarves for him before, Hikari always made an excessive amount, as if she wanted Kenichi to change them daily.

However, looking at these items, Kenichi still felt a bit troubled.

Socks were fine.

Even if he wore one pair a day, they would last for quite some time.

But what about all those military rations pills?

And how had Kenichi not known that Hikari could make military rations pills?

”Big Brother Amamiya, these are my gifts for you.”

Hikari smiled happily.

Looking at Hikari like this, Kenichi really could not bring himself to refuse.

He could only accept them.

After all, military rations pills were filling.

In the future, when he was conducting experiments, he might have to spend long hours in the laboratory.

These military rations pills would be perfect for supplementing his needs there.

”Thank you, Hikari.”

As Kenichi said this, he saw his teacher, Orochimaru, walking over from not far away.

Upon seeing Orochimaru, Kenichi noticed that his teacher’s face seemed to show some hesitation.

This made Kenichi curious.

Had his teacher encountered something?

However, the war situation was now stable.

The Land of Lightning had already been annexed by them, and Kenichi currently had no intention of expanding outward.

After all, if he wanted to expand, he would inevitably clash with the Land of Earth and the Land of Fire.

Kenichi currently wanted to first stabilize the situation in the Land of Lightning and, incidentally, survey it to see where there might be uranium ore for making nuclear weapons.

So during this period, Kenichi had not assigned any tasks to his teacher.

If that was the case, then what was with the hesitation on Orochimaru’s face?

”Hikari, please wait for me over there.”

Kenichi hurried over.
