Chapter 494: Samehada Brand Chakra Storage Battery

”Lord Amamiya, is this time suitable for the founding ceremony?”

Shiori respectfully asked Kenichi.

Kenichi rubbed his temples, feeling a slight headache.

Frankly, he was not very interested in managing a founding ceremony. But since he had unified the Shinobi World, not holding one seemed inappropriate.

Ceremonial events like this were not very practical, but they were still necessary.

”Hmm, let’s set it for that time. Just remember to tell me a day in advance.”

Kenichi sighed, but still nodded in agreement.

Shiori tactfully left Kenichi’s laboratory.

Kenichi was currently conducting experiments, and Shiori knew very well that Kenichi disliked being disturbed during his experiments.

After Shiori left, Kenichi sat in the laboratory, lost in thought as he looked at the object before him.

Kenichi was attempting to convert chakra into energy.

The method he had thought of was to clone Samehada and use it as a converter.

What lay before Kenichi now was a Samehada that had grown through accelerated cloning technology.

[First Research on Chakra Energy Conversion and Storage Device]

[After initiating cloning work on Samehada, with the help of Mr. Amado, I have obtained Samehada individuals at varying stages of growth. Based on their growth progress, they are sequentially designated as Experiment Subject #1, Experiment Subject #2, and Experiment Subject #3.]

[Experiment Subject #1 is the smallest. Experiment Subject #2 is similar in size to an ideal engine. Experiment Subject #3 is close to the size of an adult Samehada individual.]

[After attempting to feed them chakra separately, none of the three experiment subjects showed any tendency to devour chakra.]

”Is it because their growth method is different from Samehada’s?”

Kenichi looked at the three Samehada of different sizes before him and fell into deep thought.

Samehada could devour chakra, even when in contact with enemies.

Kenichi had already tried this.

But the problem was that these three Samehada did not devour chakra.

They were like three ravenous little monsters, greedily demanding meat and fish.

”If I want to solve this problem, then perhaps I need to...”

Kenichi held one of the Samehada clones and examined it.

The problem with these three Samehada was within his expectations.

After all, although these three were Samehada’s clones and, to some extent, were genetically the same as the original Samehada, genetic identity did not mean everything else would also be identical.

Just like during his previous experiments.

A clone kept in a nutrient capsule and the experimental subject, though both were the same person, had significant differences in appearance and physique.

It could be said that while genes determined appearance and other postnatal issues, completely different lifestyles could still lead to vastly different outcomes for identical clones.

It was like an original infant and a cloned infant being born at the same time.

If the original lived in a poor family, often went hungry, and worked on construction sites, while the clone lived in a wealthy family and enjoyed a life of comfort, then thirty years later, if they were placed side by side, the differences might be so great that no one would recognize them as a clone and the original.

In other words, while genes determined physical factors like appearance, postnatal environment and the development of various personality traits also had a huge impact on a person.

The original Samehada had lived its own life after birth.

Perhaps it was under such circumstances that Samehada became a chakra-eating entity, eventually becoming the Samehada it was now.

And these three cloned Samehada had significant differences from the original Samehada.

Kenichi did not get discouraged.

Since Samehada would not eat chakra, it did not matter.

He would starve them.

When they were hungry enough, he would try feeding them chakra again.

Perhaps that would yield results.

[After a period of fasting for the Samehada clones, they finally began to eat chakra, but they seem to only know how to take chakra and not how to give it back.]

[This may be due to a lack of guidance from predecessors. If the original Samehada came and guided them, it might help, but this does not align with my requirements for Samehada’s intended role. If every Samehada requires patient training from a predecessor, it would become extremely troublesome, making mass production of Samehada engines impossible.]

[Perhaps I need to try implanting parasites to see whether they can influence Samehada.]

Kenichi looked at Samehada, then took out a syringe and injected parasite eggs into their bodies.

However, even Kenichi himself did not know whether this would work.

After all, unlike humans, a creature like Samehada did not even look like a normal animal.

Moreover, parasites controlled humans by attaching themselves to the brain.

Samehada was clearly not the same species as humans, so whether parasites could control Samehada was also a question that needed to be investigated.

But fortunately, what Kenichi had plenty of now was free time.

Before the founding ceremony, Kenichi still had enough time to conduct scientific research.

After the founding ceremony, Kenichi would be busy for a while, but it did not matter.

When the time came, he could have his Shadow Clone handle political affairs while he focused on researching his new inventions.

[Parasite parasitism... successful?]

Kenichi looked at the Samehada before him.

He could feel faint parasite signals inside Samehada’s body.

If Shiori came, the sensing would be even clearer.

But the problem was that after Kenichi called over a Hyuga Clan ninja, he discovered that the parasites within Samehada were different from those in a normal person’s body.

”Lord Amamiya, this is the drawing you requested.”

The Hyuga Clan ninja looked at Kenichi with respectful eyes.

Shiori stood quietly behind Kenichi, holding documents.

Kenichi took the notebook and glanced at it.

Inside was the internal structure of Samehada’s body observed by the Byakugan, as well as the current location of the parasites.

The parasites had become much smaller and tightly wrapped around a tiny brain.

This was Samehada’s brain, roughly a bit larger than a walnut, but certainly not too big.

However, considering Samehada’s size, having such a brain was already quite remarkable.

”Aren’t you afraid?” ℯℯ𝘭.

Kenichi looked at the Hyuga Clan ninja before him.

The ninja’s gaze was very respectful, even carrying a hint of fanaticism, which made Kenichi somewhat curious.

”Lord Amamiya, you are the benefactor who saved our branch family! Whatever you say, our branch family will do!”

The Hyuga Clan ninja looked at Kenichi with reverence.

Kenichi now understood.

It turned out this was a member of the Hyuga branch family.

Although the Hyuga branch family and main family were both part of the Hyuga Clan, the branch family was more like servants who had to obey the main family.

While the Shinobi World was a somewhat pathological world, it was undeniable that not every member of the Hyuga branch family wanted to be a dog of the main family.

This could be seen from Neji Hyuga.

The internal conflicts of the Hyuga Clan were already significant and would certainly need to be addressed in the future.

If they were not addressed, they would cause some trouble.

However, Kenichi vaguely remembered that in the future, the Hyuga Clan seemed to have undergone no major changes.

Although Hinata became Naruto’s wife and was not branded with the Caged Bird, Hinata was merely an individual exception.

This was very similar to the Daimyo system in the Shinobi World.

The Daimyo had no real power, but they held financial advantages and theoretical ruling status.

Although the Daimyo were later downplayed, it was precisely because the ninja of the later period were too strong that the Daimyo system appeared increasingly ridiculous.

Could one expect a transcendent being capable of summoning meteors, artificially creating celestial bodies, and wielding immense power to tolerate an ordinary person sitting above him?

That was simply science fiction.

”I hope you can seize this hard-won opportunity and serve the Land of Flame.”

Kenichi smiled and patted the shoulder of the Hyuga Clan ninja before him.

He had done what he could.

The rest was up to them to choose.

Kenichi had previously heard from the Land of Flame’s ANBU that although the Hyuga Clan had abolished the Caged Bird, some members of the Hyuga branch family themselves refused to abolish it and remained loyal to the main family.

It had to be said that everyone had their own aspirations.

Perhaps for Neji and other Hyuga Clan members who did not want to be dogs of the main family, Kenichi’s actions were a great boon.

But for those who did not mind such a life, or even calmly accepted it, Kenichi’s actions might seem somewhat meddlesome.

”We swear to serve the Land of Flame to the death!”

The Hyuga Clan ninja said excitedly, then was led away.

Kenichi did not pay too much attention to these trivial matters.

After all, to him, the thoughts of a single ninja were not that important.

He was now considering matters at the national level.

For example, his current policy of dismantling every ninja clan would certainly attract countless curses in secret, but Kenichi did not care.

For the long-term stability of the Land of Flame, these measures were very necessary.

Otherwise, these great families would become new gatekeeping forces in the future, which Kenichi could not accept.

He did not want to have to come out and prove he was still alive whenever he had nothing else to do, then constantly suppress ambitious individuals.

That would be far too troublesome.

Kenichi looked at the diagram in his hand, then had Shiori command the parasite larvae to control the Samehada clones and make them regurgitate chakra.

Soon, a much purer chakra was reluctantly expelled by the Samehada larvae.

Kenichi tried to absorb this chakra back into his body, where it blended harmoniously with his own chakra without any abnormalities.

[After being controlled by the parasites, the Samehada clones can overcome their lack of learning ability, but extensive experiments are still needed to confirm this. Also, how to utilize the outputted chakra? This is also a problem.]

[Currently, there are two main uses for chakra.]

[One is boiling water, converting chakra into heat energy, and then into mechanical energy. However, this is not as good as directly converting it into electrical energy.]

[A sealing ninjutsu needs to be set up to continuously and sustainably convert weak Lightning Release chakra, thereby generating electricity for power. The engine can directly convert chakra into Water Release chakra and Fire Release chakra, thus driving the engine’s operation.]

Kenichi was somewhat excited.

But there was still one question that needed to be verified.

What was the lifespan of Samehada?

Although the rapid cloning technology developed by Mr. Amado was very mature, this maturity also led to a reduction in lifespan.

What Kenichi needed to research now was the lifespan of this Samehada.

Or rather, its service life.

Just like how every product had an expiration date.

A new energy technology, if too durable, was actually not good.

In his previous life, Kenichi had once wondered why most furniture and appliances needed to be replaced after a period of use.

Later, Kenichi learned that these things could not be made too durable.

Otherwise, consumers would buy them once and not need new ones for a very long time, which would mean no sales for those manufacturers, leading to losses and bankruptcy.

Therefore, most products would have a shelf life.

Some companies, when launching new products, would even deliberately restrict older models to force consumers to buy the new ones.

And the same was true for Samehada.

Although Kenichi did not need to make money, the problem was that the limitations of cloning technology meant Samehada would definitely have a shelf life.

What Kenichi needed to do now was verify this.

However, the exact time required could not be determined.

”So next is to create a ninjutsu that meets my requirements...”

Kenichi scratched his head, then plunged back into his busy experimental work.

Just as he was about to focus on his research, a dizzy spell came over him.

Kenichi froze.

Then a new memory appeared in his mind.

”Uranium ore has been detected? Then it’s time to start making the next atomic bomb. Also a hydrogen bomb, but the method for this hydrogen bomb...”

Kenichi pinched his brow.

His Shadow Clone had dispersed, and the news it brought delighted him.

Large uranium reserves had been detected in the Land of Wind.

Then he could also try to start making hydrogen bombs.
