Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 700: Chapter 699: The King’s Conference Career Begins, New Gear Equipped for Queen

Brannew, a major at Navy Headquarters, primarily a civilian position within the Navy, excels in information consolidation. Ever since this talent was discovered, he has been responsible for summarizing intelligence at many Headquarters’ meetings and forwarding the latest news to various levels of command.

”Five days ago, the Hundred Beasts Pirates attacked the Stanting Kingdom, publicly seizing ten warships belonging to the Stanting Kingdom.”

The Navy below did not find this puzzling. Given the capabilities of the Hundred Beasts, it would be abnormal if they couldn’t accomplish such a feat. The Seven Warlords of the Sea alone have the power to overthrow a country, and a single allied nation facing a Sea Emperor in the New World is essentially powerless.

”However, the main issue is the method they used to seize the ships.”

Enlarged photos of Tyranitar and Emboar appeared on the screen, with the Radio Snail of the Yotamaria Grand Fleet having captured some terrifying footage, such as the release of Hyper Beam and the destruction of ships.

Additionally, there is also Navy-recorded combat footage of Emboar.

”Fifteen years ago, a biological weapon called Emboar by the Hundred Beasts Pirates appeared on The Sea, known to have control over flames; with combat power far surpassing that of ordinary members of the Giant Race.”

Describing the strength of an individual requires a comparison, which is one of the reasons for the bounty system. Although there are individual cases where strength and bounty do not align, bounties can indicate the strength of most.

Different pirate crews have different levels, and the Navy has to face the entire sea, with no time to remember all the level sequences for conversion. Therefore, bounties have become the simplest standard for measuring combat power.

Through bounties, the Navy can roughly understand the threat level of a pirate.

For these biological weapons, there have been no bounty notices from the World Government, so Brannew made a very clear comparison - the Giant Race.

Size plays a decisive advantage in many aspects. Giants who join the Navy are typically of Vice Admiral rank, and when facing the Giant Race, most people lack the ability to confront them.

Surpassing ordinary members of the Giant Race already indicates the threat level.

”In the past fifteen years, we haven’t discovered a second similar creature. It was thought to be a unique occurrence, but the appearance of this monster challenges that understanding.”

Strange creatures do exist, even many, but The Sea is inherently full of peculiar organisms, which hasn’t alerted the Navy.

There are many Gyarados and Magikarp, but the sheer number of such creatures has led to the misconception of a natural phenomenon. There is a hypothesis that Gyarados are modified organisms, but this hasn’t been confirmed.

Up until now, Gyarados haven’t participated directly in the actions of the Hundred Beasts. With only one Mandfeish, it is difficult to determine specific information.

But Tyranitar is different. If there were only one Emboar, it could be seen as an isolated case, but the appearance of a second monster is quite special. The ability to create a second one implies a possibility for a third, a fourth, and even an entire battalion of gigantic creatures.

”This is its demonstrated capability, a destructive laser cannon, with a seemingly ability to manipulate sand. The laser cannon’s power is enough to destroy a warship in one strike. If you discover the giant ships of the Hundred Beasts, do not engage with them at sea.

Currently, it seems these two gigantic beasts take orders from Jack, who is likely the commander of this gigantic beast force.”

This is why Jack’s photo is also displayed. Though two in number, it is reasonable to view them as a unit due to their massive size and frightening deterrent power.

”Alright, everyone, this concludes the main situation to be communicated at this meeting. Next up is a more pressing issue, Plague Disaster Queen.”

The photos of Emboar and Tyranitar are withdrawn, leaving only Queen’s photo.

”Plague Disaster Queen, an elder of the Hundred Beasts Pirates, and formerly a member of the MADS Research Team, is suspected to have furthered research on Bloodline Factor.

According to information provided by the World Government’s CP Department, the first appearance of the gigantic beast codenamed Emboar was under Queen’s command. However, those above have remained skeptical about this incident.”

Even with focus shifted to Queen, they haven’t overlooked the mysterious Arceus, but Arceus’s actions and whereabouts are incomprehensible. Based on collected intelligence, his voyages don’t seem piratical, but more like a parent touring with kids.

This possibility was immediately dismissed. In the intelligence here, although Arceus is less active, he is the unquestioned second-in-command of the Hundred Beasts; someone like him idling around with kids is inconceivable. There must be something hidden they haven’t discovered.

Everyone knows about Kaidou searching for stones globally, but those stones have been studied by them, and apart from being indestructible, nothing special was found. They don’t believe there is a causal relationship between those stones and the terrifying gigantic creatures.

The mysteries are abundant, and while they haven’t ignored the counterpart, there’s no feasible approach. Thus, more energy is concentrated on the traceable Queen.

”Marshal Sengoku’s order: should you encounter Queen during missions, you may immediately alter your task, prioritizing capturing Queen, and you are authorized to request Headquarter support.”

Attacking the stronghold of the Sea Emperor isn’t wise, which is why this order exists, though its execution power won’t be high.

They can’t predict Queen’s whereabouts, and Queen’s own strength isn’t weak either, making detaining him challenging.

Especially for ordinary Navy soldiers, Queen’s abilities are outright disasters. Without special precautions, ordinary soldiers are likely to be completely wiped out by his Plague Bomb. This has led the Navy to prepare a batch of new equipment.

”Here are gas masks prepared by the Headquarters. Those frequently active in the New World can arrange to retrieve them from the logistics department later.”

Originally, this gear was only available to Impel Down and some laboratories. Most pirates, let alone such weapons, can’t even acquire quality cannons. To counter some of Queen’s capabilities, gas masks are to be installed.

The alteration of standard equipment due to one individual illustrates the degree of emphasis placed on Queen.

This is an internal action of Navy Headquarters. Additionally, the CP Department under the World Government is also in action. A large amount of data is being collected worldwide and transferred by the CP Department to Vegapunk.

He is a genius in research, but Ohara’s data, along with its scholars, was packaged and taken away. This has led to Vegapunk also lacking research on some matters, compelling further reliance on the World Government.

As the world’s rulers, what they control far exceeds that of others....
