Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 693: Chapter 692: Tyranitar’s Seastone Storm

”Pupitar, do you feel unwell?”

Audino had just left, and the checkup confirmed that Pupitar was in good health, with all indicators stable. Why it was behaving this way was unclear, even to Audino.

The Hundred Beasts Pokemon Center, though named a Pokemon Center, primarily served as a hospital for humans. Despite this, considerable research had been conducted on the possible ailments affecting the numerous Pokemon here, such as Mareep’s overcharging and Whimsicott’s hair loss.

However, for rare Pokemon like Pupitar, only Arceus could truly diagnose any issues that might arise.

But Pupitar wasn’t sick; it had simply undergone some personality changes, so Yamato saw no need to contact Arceus.

”Pupi...”

It took a while, but Pupitar finally responded, releasing air from its body pores, and even its surface began to crack.

”What’s happening to you...”

Before Yamato could react, the cracks on Pupitar’s surface suddenly widened, and a dazzling white light shone from within, gradually enveloping Pupitar’s body as its size rapidly increased.

In no time, a colossal creature over twenty meters tall, much taller than Emboar, appeared in the square.

”Tyran!”

The monster roared towards the sky, seemingly stretching its limbs. Although Pupitar was agile, it was just a cocoon state; when it emerged from the cocoon and transformed, it reached its final form - the Desert Tyrant, Tyranitar.

With a dinosaur-like appearance resembling Godzilla, its body was covered in a green shell, a sturdy armor that could resist most attacks.

Several spikes protruded from its head, neck, and shoulders, giving it a fierce and terrifying look.

The tail’s end also sported a ring of smaller spikes, forming a tail hammer akin to an ankylosaur’s, capable of inflicting great damage on enemies in battle.

Its wide-open mouth revealed two pairs of sharp canines, the only teeth in its jaws, making its image akin to a scaled-up version of a young Larvitar.

The holes in its armor remained, but the exposed abdomen was no longer a weak point, as it too was covered in a keratinized shell.

”Wow, how cool! Have you become so handsome after evolving?”

Constructing a Gundam was still quite complicated, but who needed a Gundam when you had monsters? After all, there are monster fans too, as long as they weren’t hideously ugly, even monsters could have their admirers.

”Tyran~”

Tyranitar agreed with Yamato’s words, believing itself to be quite dashing. But the next moment, its actions shattered that impression.

It moved its arms, looked at the three small claws, and immediately grabbed a large rock from the ground, tossing it into its mouth without hesitation, relishing the sensation after going without a hearty meal for so long.

Pupitar, in its cocoon form, spent most of its time digesting the energy accumulated during its Larvitar stage until a new round of evolution was complete.

Though it had enough stored within to not lack sustenance, that didn’t mean it didn’t want to eat. For a foodie, being unable to feast for an entire stage was pure torture.

Due to its physical structure, Pupitar could only sample a few things, its mouth but a small slit during that phase, barely wide enough to nibble something to whet its appetite. Otherwise, it could have devoured all the previous construction materials itself.

Whether soil or rock, everything got tossed into Tyranitar’s mouth, quickly creating a big hole in the ground. Only then did it stop, satisfied.

Sitting on the ground with a look of contentment, one wouldn’t easily see that this creature was, in fact, a mobile disaster, one capable of altering mountains and rivers.

Moreover, after settling down, Yamato noticed something unusual. The sky suddenly turned dark, though not nightfall; dust was obscuring the sun above as a giant sandstorm unexpectedly manifested.

Upon evolving, Tyranitar lost its Ground Type attribute, becoming a Rock + Dark Pokemon. At the same time, its ability changed to Sand Stream, causing sandstorms to appear wherever it went.

The greenery in Wano Kuni was well-maintained, with sandstorms a rarity for many years, leaving local residents at a loss upon suddenly facing this vast yellow sandstorm.

It had just evolved, not yet used to its newfound powers. As it gradually gained control, its inherent traits began to manifest, affecting not just ordinary residents but especially the passersby with abilities nearby.

This Tyranitar wasn’t just huge, it had grown up eating Seastone.

While they couldn’t produce Seastone at will, the stones created in the first half-hour shared Seastone’s effects. About 15 minutes later, the power began to diminish, reverting to regular stones half an hour later.

This conclusion had been drawn since Geodude’s birth, implying that the storms generated by this Tyranitar weren’t ordinary but Seastone storms, capable of inhibiting ability users within a given battlefield area.

Inhaling the dust mixed with Seastone particles could restrict one’s abilities, at worst leading to paralysis, the greatest flaw being the non-discrimination between friend and foe.

Speed was one of those affected, collapsing directly to the ground, the fierce storm hurting upon impact. Without assistance, weaker ability users might be buried alive before Tyranitar.

”Tyranitar! Stop! Enough with the sandstorm!”

At first, Yamato was curious about the climate; she had never visited any desert nations. But soon, she identified the problem: continuing like this would indeed create a calamity.

Tyranitar’s sandstorm wasn’t uncontrollable, an ability deployed using its energy. If it were unstoppable, Sand Stream would have long turned the world into deserts.

The extent and intensity of the sandstorm could be modified based on the Seastone energy’s concentration.

Currently, the scale and strength of the sandstorm created by Tyranitar weren’t considerable, but the accumulated dust had already covered her ankles. If it didn’t stop, she would undoubtedly tire out.

Like building floor panels, Arceus might very well have her clean up all this yellow sand.

Upon receiving the order, Tyranitar began gathering energy from within, and after a while, the sandstorm dissipated, with the sand being filled into the pits it had created earlier. Over time, they reverted back to ordinary yellow sand. 𝑓𝑟ℯℴ𝓂

The excess was also consumed, significantly reducing wastage, though numerous buildings remained coated in dust, ensuring that a grand cleanup was inevitable.

This labor-intensive cycle of producing and re-consuming sand didn’t replenish energy but allowed for a taste of indulgence, akin to a special kind of cud-chewing for Tyranitar.
