Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 675: Chapter 674: Arceus’s ”Grandpa” Days

With a vital attack and Water Pulse hitting consecutively, Devon was directly blasted away. Under normal circumstances, she would have fallen into the sea, and Elizabeth would have dealt her another blow underwater.

However, the result wasn’t that simple. While in mid-air, a pink smoke burst from Devon’s body, several fluffy tails appeared from behind her, and her limbs transformed to resemble those of a canine.

Then she kicked the air with her feet again, returning to the deck.

A technique similar to Moonwalk is not uncommon in the New World, but for a pirate who just entered the New World to use such a skill is quite rare. Of course, even rarer is her resistance to damage.

”Oh? A Zoan fruit user, huh? No wonder you’re so tough.”

Seeing that Devon did not immediately lose consciousness, Olga was slightly shocked. Under normal circumstances, someone like her would certainly be recruited.

It seems she’s not just an ordinary Zoan user, but a rare Mythical type; ordinary beasts don’t have nine tails.

In fact, this is true. Devon is a user of the Dog-Dog Fruit, Mythical Type: Ninetales form. This rare Mythical type grants her a physique beyond ordinary, allowing her to withstand Olga’s attack without losing consciousness.

It’s just that her collection in the cabin made Olga feel disgusted, so there was no intention to recruit such a person.

Occasionally encountering some talented newcomers is not surprising. Since she wasn’t defeated the first time, they could just try again.

Two clusters of dark energy converged in Olga’s palms; the Night Daze was ready to launch.

But in mid-air, Devon was suddenly enveloped by a pink smoke and, using the blast of the Night Daze, fell back onto the deck. When the smoke cleared, Devon’s figure was gone, replaced by two identical Ulti.

”Hey, playing this trick in front of me... You’re underestimating me.”

The ability granted by the Ninetales Fruit is mimicry, similar to the Clone-Clone Fruit, allowing her to change into the appearance of others. To some extent, the transformation of a Ninetales is more detailed, with both physique and clothing becoming identical.

Although different from illusions, fundamentally, the effect achieved is similar. Olga has studied illusions for over a decade, and using this in front of her is truly underestimating her.

Devon really had no choice; though she retained consciousness without fainting, Olga’s attack was challenging to withstand. Olga isn’t the type to fight head-on, but it depends on who she’s up against.

For opponents of the same level, her ability in head-on clashes isn’t significant, but for a newcomer, it’s still not easy to endure. Facing such an attack again, Devon couldn’t withstand it.

Pirates advocate freedom, but the premise of freedom is survival. Though it couldn’t allow an escape from here, muddling through might allow one to seek the next opportunity.

But she chose the wrong target. The people present had countless ways to distinguish the real from the fake. For instance, Elizabeth and Olga could perceive the different auras.

For Pokemon Ability Users, the aura from Arceus’s power is particularly evident. Not requiring profound Observation Haki, as long as the opponent is nearby, they can precisely lock onto them.

Not to mention the presence of Rotom, identity cards, inherent transformation abilities, and a series of methods to verify identity.

Failing to resolve a newcomer twice was also a disgrace for Olga. Being a fox as well, she definitely wouldn’t fear a Ninetales.

The beastly claws covered in Armament Haki mercilessly struck the other’s face, leaving no chance for her to speak.

With nothing held back, Devon lost consciousness in her confusion. She didn’t understand why her identity was easily locked onto by the opponent.

”Clean up! Quickly finish up here. Take those with bounties for a cash exchange, figure out what to do with the rest!”

Once confirming Devon was unconscious, a few of the henchmen immediately took out Seastone Handcuffs, cuffing her to the side, waiting to hand her over to the Navy for bounty money, which, under the current circumstances, was the most profitable approach.

The battle ended swiftly, but Ulti felt quite uneasy, watching an identical version of herself getting beaten - that feeling was quite bizarre.

After the brief bait career ended, the two groups parted ways. The Mandfeish led them towards the New Fishman Island, while Olga headed towards the nearest G-5 Branch to quickly cash in on Devon’s group.

Meanwhile, another ship continued its voyage.

In the First Half of the Grand Line, on the Origin, the entire front deck was cleared, aside from Shaina. No one dared to stay there; the scene was difficult for them to accept for a moment.

”Lord Holy Beast, bringing them both out like this is... uh... a bit inappropriate?”

”Just two little ones, don’t you think it’s a bit like over a decade ago? Back then, Yamato and Jack were also little guys like this.”

”I don’t mean that. Your decisions are naturally correct, but these two little ones... are a bit too lively.”

With that, Shaina flung the Red Chain in her hand, pulling Miaona and Wolf back from climbing at the ship’s railing.

”At least bring along Setsuna as well? It feels strange with her and Zeraora not here.”

Grabbing each little one in one hand, Shaina tossed them back to the Chanseys beside her, their liveliness exceeding expectations.

By age, Miaona and Wolf belong to the third generation within the Hundred Beasts. Due to Zeraora’s eldest son’s status, this sibling pair was born with a silver spoon.

Now, the siblings are just over three and a half years old, exactly at the age where even dogs would find them annoying. Coupled with the favor of Arceus, sometimes they can be said to be unruly.

Plus, Setsuna is recognized by Shaina as the most carefree mother. Though following Arceus out would pose no danger, letting go at such an age can only be described as a characteristic of the Fur Race.

However, recalling that the young individuals of the Fur Race dared to sneak out of Zou at a very young age, everything started to make sense.

”Let them be, perhaps when they return, they’ll have new siblings.”

He’s just helping keep an eye on the kids, and by the way, allowing them to see the world early.

...

”Lord Arceus, we’ve picked up something strange from the sea!”

Soon after, Miaona and Wolf came to Arceus with a drifting bottle, inside of which was a piece of paper and map, with slightly provocative words written on it.

[If you are the pirate among pirates among pirates... then come to this island with your trusted companions!]
