Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 688: Chapter 687: Back Then, He Wore an Eggnog by His Waist, Unfamiliar With the Meaning of Rival

Queen sneaked onto Ghost Island, worried he might run into Kaidou and get dragged into extra training.

”Queen? What are you sneaking around for?”

He didn’t run into Kaidou, but Shaina’s voice rang out behind him.

”King said you haven’t been spared from Kaidou’s wrath lately. Is your skin itching for more?”

”Shh! Auntie, spare me please. First it was Miss Yamato, then Brother Kaidou. I’ve had enough already.”

In this environment, Queen decisively chose to play dumb. Compared to King, Shaina was more ruthless when she took action, and she was serious about it, unlike King, who usually just engaged in verbal sparring.

”What are you doing here? Lord Titan hasn’t summoned you lately, has he?”

She had just returned from King, having delivered Lily Carnation seeds to him. Some seeds hadn’t sprouted yet and needed special treatment to germinate.

The Lunarians Race was originally a widely inherited race, but now, almost extinct. In Shaina’s knowledge, aside from King, she has no other kin.

The Lunarians’ knowledge inheritance also became an issue. During their exile, they learned to fight and acquired special knowledge so that more things could be passed on. They learned separately, choosing who was more adept in a particular area to study it.

Regarding plants, Shaina’s talent surpassed King’s, so the specific ways to nurture Lily Carnation were known only to her. She had just spent some time teaching King the rituals and protecting him outside.

This wasn’t Carnival Island; it’s a deserted area. In Wano Kuni, certain things still need to be considered.

”Can’t I have a reason to find Lord Arceus?”

”Did Asie’s research make a breakthrough?”

”No.....”

”Did you discover something significant?”

”Uh...no either..”

”Then what are you doing here, causing trouble?”

”I’m here to save my life! Before long, Boss Kaidou is going to drive me crazy. By the way, according to Brother Kaidou’s recent statements, he plans to have you and Zeraora give it a try soon.

King and I no longer meet his needs for battle strength.”

”...”

Saying this, Queen continued walking forward, and Shaina didn’t stop him. Even Shaina didn’t want to be bothered by Kaidou for such matters.

And Queen continued on his scientific salvation journey. When science reaches its pinnacle, it becomes theology. For Queen, he still walks a special scientific path.

...

”That’s the situation, Lord Arceus. What exactly is in that egg? You must know...”

Queen narrated recent events and stated his purpose, mainly wanting to understand what makes Blissey’s egg achieve such peculiar effects.

”Of course I know, but you can’t replicate that thing.”

Blissey’s egg isn’t just an egg; it’s a combination of energy and nutrients within Blissey, akin to its released skill, formed by Pokémon energy.

When nutrients are sufficient, Blissey’s egg regeneration speed is faster. In battles, they can frequently use the ”Soft-Boiled” skill, converting stamina into similar objects.

Arceus can help Blissey replenish energy, enabling it to provide more eggs, but can’t allow Queen to break down that composition.

”But don’t you know there’s something called egg wine in your knowledge?”

”Egg wine? Can eggs make wine? Is this some sea region’s folk remedy?”

Few pirates don’t drink. Even if they don’t, they often know about alcohol due to its prevalence. Queen had never heard of making egg wine.

But it’s indeed not a brewed product; it’s mixed together. Egg, rum, whiskey, milk, and sugar combined make egg wine.

Compared to wine, it’s more like a sweet beverage, but it’s enough to address this situation. Kaidou just needs a hint of alcohol flavor to find the Drunk Dragon Hakke state, and whiskey and rum are strong liquors, so adjusting the proportion can easily create a suitable drink.

”Lord Arceus deserves credit for knowing such things. I should be saved now...right.”

....

Queen didn’t achieve his objective but found a solution from an unexpected angle. He finally obtained a modified egg wine recipe from Arceus.

The whiskey and rum were still regular liquor procured, Miltank’s milk replaced regular milk, Blissey’s egg replaced chicken eggs, and a secret sweetener replaced sugar, resulting in a new beverage.

Due to the recipe improvement, this egg wine has a significantly long shelf life, and due to its powerful effects, it’s not publicly sold.

Miltank’s milk didn’t affect much, but Blissey’s egg and the secret sweetener were different.

Blissey’s egg not only induces happiness, allowing Kaidou to find that peculiar feeling, but also restores energy, while the secret sweetener is extraordinary.

They aren’t ordinary condiments but are plants growing in special areas with unique flavors, enabling Pokémon to gain strength from them. In the Paldea Region, lucky Pokémon discovering the secret sweetener become extraordinary.

Because of the power the sweetener grants them, they’re called Titans, usually hard to defeat by others. Consuming the secret sweetener instantly heals wounds, enhancing energy, and strengthening power, deemed as a potent stimulant without side effects.

...

”Brother Kaidou! Check this out, with this, you can perfectly resolve that issue.”

Queen realized Kaidou always carries Hassaikai and a wine gourd. Carrying an egg wasn’t realistic, but changing it to egg wine was feasible.

So this time he proactively sought out Kaidou, hoping to ”eradicate the problem for good.”

”Lord Arceus provided this remedy. With this, you can reach that state.”

Kaidou took the wine gourd Queen handed over, tried it and indeed found that amazing state.

”Wahaha, that’s the feeling, truly kills two birds with one stone....”

”I’m glad you’re satisfied. With this, I’ll be leaving now.”

Queen planned to research his bananas, as the sweet secret sweetener seemed to pair well with his Tropius Bananas, but the ground before him cracked a large gap, blocking his path. Looking back, the other end of the crack was just where Hassaikai landed.

”Brother Kaidou...”

”I was going to find Shaina and Zeraora, but since you’ve come to me, it’s perfect to help polish you a bit more.”

”?!”
