Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 689: Chapter 688: ”Street Fighter”—The Pink-Twin-Tailed Giants

Egg Brandy solved a large portion of the trouble, but there were still some issues, the Drunk Dragon Hakke and Gentle Mode both relied on some external force.

The ideal situation is for these two states to be like his Dragon Dance Hakken, able to activate without external aid. The Drunk Dragon Hakke was currently without a clue, as that drunken feeling was hard to pin down, but the latter was different.

With a bit of effort, there was still a chance, thus Queen didn’t immediately rid himself of difficulties, undergoing torment and growth in Kaidou’s training, much like the other lieutenants, with battles nearly constant whether in duels or brawls.

And when the repairs on Ghost Island’s buildings were completed, Yamato was also dragged back in by Kaidou, indicating that this state would last for a while until his interest waned.

By then, he would likely set off to find the next unfortunate victim, letting them experience his newfound strength, which would mean the Hundred Beasts lieutenants would be temporarily freed.

After Ghost Island’s buildings were repaired, Tinkaton’s work was temporarily done, and without specific tasks, their job was metal processing, able to forge metal more efficiently than machines with their Gigaton Hammer.

This was their job, and during breaks, they would form groups to wander the streets, becoming a unique sight.

In Flower Capital, at Kojiro’s residence, the steward was stretching outside.

Although Kojiro moved to Kuri for some conveniences, with Emboar and Growlithe living with him, he had homes throughout Wano Kuni, being the bona fide richest merchant in the land.

His status was very stable, with no one coming close to challenging his position. However, compared to Tesoro, Kojiro’s wealth was nothing, despite Hundred Beasts Fruit being a Hundred Beasts enterprise, Tesoro still gained enormous profits from dividends.

Tinkaton carrying large hammers walked through the street, and people chose to make way.

This wasn’t them bullying the market but rather their Grass God status.

In the eyes of most Wano Kuni residents, Tinkaton were the gods of the forging industry, making way was the natural course.

The huge hammers occasionally clashed, making crisp sounds, as each Tinkaton carried a small bag on their chests filled with oddly shaped metal scraps, ”fire consumption” from previous renovations now in their possession.

They had their monthly metal quotas, but most of that had to be merged into their hammers, which were always undergoing upgrades, without consuming too much to keep enough to fix them.

So, Tinkaton wouldn’t pass up similar opportunities, carrying their hammers while snacking, their seemingly aimless steps were directed at Kojiro’s residence.

Before long, they appeared at the street’s end, and seeing their pink figures, the steward rubbed his eyes and then hurried back indoors.

”Master Kojiro! Master Kojiro! Those Tinkaton are here again!!”

The steward’s state was agitated in both tone and motion, unlike typical Wano Kuni residents, seeming very afraid of these pink twin-tails, though not actually fearful, it was more that Kojiro found these Tinkaton somewhat bothersome.

Every time these Tinkaton came, it felt like bandits descending the mountain, always wanting to knock something loose, if it were general items it would be fine, as his wealth was great and he wasn’t lacking, considering the upkeep of his Growlithe and its descendants was a significant expense annually.

However, the trouble was these Tinkaton targeted to knock some parts off him.

He was also a Divine Favorer, with a power granted by Arceus, coincidentally having the ability of Bisharp.

A strong Pokemon in its own right, with good resistances and offensive capabilities, yet he happened to encounter Tinkaton.

Tinkaton’s traits meant they had a penchant for collecting metal, not just ores, but also the steel from Steel-type Pokemon.

Among the various Steel-type Pokemon, Tinkaton had an obsession with the families of Corviknight and Bisharp, being fond of Corviknight feathers and Bisharp family blades.

Ghost Island’s Corviknight had to be wary of them, though they wouldn’t attempt to knock them down due to Arceus’s demand, but given the chance, they would pluck some feathers off them.

There were plenty of Corviknight, and shed plumage would be handed to Tinkaton, generally not causing issues, but as Kojiro was the only Bisharp in Wano Kuni, Tinkaton’s target was quite singular.

They’d duel with ability-awakened Kojiro under the guise of sparring, determined to knock something off.

”Ahem...So fast, are they?”

”Yes, they’re almost at the door, so should...should you hide?”

”No, it doesn’t mean much, just pity my hair.”

Touching his hair, Kojiro felt his lovely hair was about to vanish, Steel-type Pokemon came in two varieties, one like Tinkaton with sparse metal structures requiring external collection.

The other being the norm among Steel-type Pokemon, covered with solid armor, which was not non-renewable, able to regenerate with nutrition and time.

A wild Bisharp’s blades were the same, considered claws or hair, frequently needing sharpening, finding suitable grindstone territory was a Bisharp clan’s life goal.

If non-regenerative, constant grinding could wear them away.

Kojiro, being a power-wielder rather than a Bisharp, incurred damage to the power-altered body reflecting on himself, temporarily going bald.

In some sense, he was selling hair for rapport, and for him, it was also an opportunity to hone his skills.

Hyogoro, being a guest in the courtyard, saw Kojiro’s slightly helpless expression and felt curious.

”What’s wrong, Kojiro, anything troubling?”

In today’s Wano Kuni, Hyogoro couldn’t fathom anything putting him in a bind.

”Well... It’s kind of a small joy of life, if you’re interested Uncle Hyogoro, just come guide me.”

Interacting with Pokemon often produces peculiar effects, like getting poisoned by Weezing or shocked by Mareep, such instances weren’t rare, just that his case was a bit unusual.

Kojiro, without carrying a blade, walked with bare hands to the center of the courtyard, awaiting the Tinkaton’s arrival.
