Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 100: Chapter 100: Karoochuu~

The Fur Race, as the name suggests, are animals with fur. In the perception of the wolf fur girl, people living overseas are also part of the Fur Race, with ordinary humans being monkey fur people with sparse hair.

The Fur Race living in Zou are all mammals. The surface of Blaziken is covered with feathers, not fur, but she doesn’t know this. In her eyes, the other party might be a bird fur tribe that Zou doesn’t have.

The Fur Race inherits the traits and abilities of their species. The Rabbit Fur Race loves carrots, although normal rabbits cannot eat too many carrots, but the rabbits here are clearly not ordinary, and limited food cannot restrain them.

The Cat Fur Race is attracted to cat teasers, and the Canine Fur Race loves bones. These are characteristics of the Fur Race.

As a member of the Wolf Fur Race, she inherited the wolves’ sense of smell. Although they only met briefly, she already remembered Shaina’s scent.

The underground here is a massive detention area, considered a breeding ground by the organ trafficking assassination group, with the people inside seen as livestock.

At specific times, they allow captured people to leave their cells and move freely. During this time, the wolf fur girl searched for escape routes but ultimately failed.

This, however, gave her a slight edge over Shaina in understanding the underground environment. Although she couldn’t match Shaina’s speed, she knew some shortcuts and followed Shaina’s changes in scent, eventually catching up to her.

When she emerged from a shortcut, she saw Shaina pinning someone to the wall with a flame on her leg, displaying Blaziken’s signature skill — Flame Kick.

Shaina, who excels at kicking skills, has her power amplified by Blaziken’s ability, leaving a large dent in the wall.

At that moment, she sensed movement behind her, instinctively kicking back, only to see the little wolf woman from earlier.

However, once a leg is kicked out, it’s not easy to pull it back. Although she withdrew the flames and most of the force, the remaining force was still enough for an ordinary adult to handle.

But the wolf fur girl was incredibly agile, grabbing Shaina’s leg for a spin, flipping twice in the air to dissipate the force, and landing steadily on the ground.

”How cool, can all overseas fur people make fire?”

The reason humans don’t discharge electricity must be because their body hair is too sparse, as it’s a skill even Fur Race children can master.

Shaina’s flames were also seen as an overseas Fur Race ability, as no one had explained the concept of Devil Fruit to her.

To her knowledge, Shaina was an overseas fur person. The world outside was surely different from Zou.

Back then, Inuarashi and Nekomamushi thought there were at least five islands in the world. She argued fiercely with them, believing there were at least ten islands in the world.

Two years ago, those two even snuck out to sea without taking her, citing her age as the reason.

Just two years older than me, yet speaking to me with that tone and claiming there are no other Fur Race members overseas, only humans with sparse monkey fur.

Afterwards, they had no news for two years. She thought they might be dead overseas, but she chose to sneak out to sea not to find them, but to see for herself.

However, within a few months, she was captured here, unable to utilize her strength due to the annoying rubber.

Shaina’s appearance seemed like discovering the New Continent.

Shaina didn’t answer her question but instead asked back.

”Didn’t I tell you to hide yourself? Why are you following?”

”You’re here to take down that bad manager, right? That’s how it always goes in stories.

You’re amazing, even bending those iron bars. Are there many flying fur people overseas?”

She seemed to have many questions. Her life during her time outside wasn’t good. Fur Race traits are beast-like features, causing many to see her as a monster.

Even in this New World, some islands are isolated and have never heard of a Fruit Ability User. To them, talking werewolves are monsters.

The organ trafficking assassins weren’t afraid of her but treated her as merchandise.

Shaina was the first person she met who wasn’t biased or scared, and in her heart, Shaina was an overseas fur person who helped her escape the bad guys.

The Fur Race is a warm-hearted and hospitable race, not prejudiced against any other. If they show extreme contempt, it’s directed at individuals.

She had many questions to ask Shaina, but Shaina wasn’t interested. She didn’t mind saving people as she went, but it wasn’t her main mission.

”Listen up, little girl, I’m not here to babysit you. Your job now is to hide. The fight here will end soon, and then you can go wherever you want.”

After speaking, Shaina made it clear she didn’t intend to manage her further. With such a complex route built here, she still hadn’t found the person in charge or her desired items.

”The bad manager is the head here. I know where he is; I’ve smelled him. Your bird fur sense of smell isn’t very good.

And I’m not a little girl; I’m going to be Zou’s next Duke! I will become the first female Duke of Zou!”

Zou’s king is called the Duke. Currently, it’s ruled by Duke Hichugiskhan. Zou’s inheritance method is unique, with no specific heir.

As long as someone gains the approval of Fluffy Kingdom’s residents and the current Duke, and is strong enough to defeat all challengers, they can become the new Duke.

Shaina wasn’t interested in Zou’s Duke, but she did hear the wolf fur girl mention she knew where the manager was.

”How do you know where he is?”

”I’ve memorized his scent, but he seems to have already fled.”

”Lead the way.”

Shaina picked her up to have her guide her.

”Karuuchu~” The wolf fur girl snuggled up, rubbing her face against Shaina’s once she could reach, a Fur Race greeting gesture expressing friendliness, typically performed with a ’Karuuchu’ and face touch.

She believed Shaina picking her up was a friendly gesture; although Shaina didn’t say ’Karuuchu’, it was normal for overseas Fur Race members to differ slightly.

She sniffed the air and began directing Shaina...
