Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 73: Chapter 73: The Tragedy Triggered by the Wanted Poster

Everyone in the pirate crew needs to have their own role. Shaina is considered the crew’s religious leader and disciplinary committee member. Without Arceus’s directive, even Kaidou can’t command her.

Although Arceus and Kaidou have a cooperative relationship, it has reached the point where it’s only nominal; in essence, the things he does can be completely regarded as part of the Beast Pirates.

After all, Arceus has participated in almost all of the Beast Pirates’ development plans. He and Asie are considered among the few ”normal people” in this aspect, having established a special ”order.” Nowadays, the residents on the Beast Pirates’ territory even internally accept their rule.

There’s no threat to their lives. As long as they complete the required work within the specified areas and turn over a certain amount of income as protection money, they can continue to live here.

This isn’t much different from the environment in some kingdoms. In terms of general policy, Arceus has to some extent copied the development plans of Noxus, aiming to make the most of individuals. As long as one can show their value, no matter what kind of value, they can achieve sufficient status.

This is a plan more suitable for the current situation. Despite whatever might be said, this is still pirate rule. Charity work is impossible.

The Beast Pirates can support those wounded in battle, and the families of those who work for them, but there’s absolutely no obligation to take care of unrelated individuals.

Kaidou, as the captain and governor of the Beast Pirates, often doesn’t perform his main duties, but it’s not unusual for a captain to not handle matters regularly.

Under Kaidou and Arceus, Shaina is undoubtedly the number one in combat power right now. She has proven this in battles, so she and King are considered to be on equal footing as top executives.

Moreover, she handles those violating pirates ruthlessly. When she gets angry, these pirates try to stay as far away as possible to avoid getting caught in the crossfire.

But this time, she was a bit worked up.

”Big... Big Sis, calm down, calm down. This is an uncontrollable factor.” However, these words didn’t have much effect, and they dared not stop the raging Shaina.

”What should we do?”

”How about you go?”

”Are you kidding? Can we stop the rampaging Big Sis? Where are Big Brother Kaidou and Big Brother Arceus?”

”They just left a couple of days ago, you know that...”

Then they looked towards their team leader, who usually enjoyed higher treatment as a small team leader. When something went wrong, he had to step up.

”Why is Big Sis angry? Tell me, please!”

He was originally at the harbor collecting taxes from ships resupplying. This is the rule: on another pirate’s territory, no matter what you do, you have to pay, or it means war. But something suddenly happened afterward.

”The News Bird just delivered the latest wanted posters. Big Sis looked at them and then went like this.”

Then he took some new wanted posters from the side. After the battle with the Wald Pirates, the Beast Pirates’ officers were mostly on wanted posters. Kaidou’s bounty also increased to 1.8 billion, which included Wald’s bounty added to his.

As he continued to search, Arceus’s wanted poster appeared in front of him, and he understood why Shaina was furious.

Unidentified creature, Beast Pirates’ pet, bounty of 5000 Belly.

Shaina is prone to impulsiveness, and sometimes she reacts in two extreme ways. She handles tasks assigned by Arceus cautiously and without mistakes, even appearing in front of him with the precision of a stopwatch.

But if insulting words appear, she goes into a violent extreme.

Insulting Arceus in front of her is no different from insulting the Nun in front of Big Mom.

Defining Arceus as a pet, along with an unidentified creature and a ”large” bounty of 5000 Belly, essentially hit all of her sensitive points from top to bottom.

The Navy and the World Government have the authority to set bounty amounts, usually determined by the pirate’s threat level. Some small fry in the Four Seas are typically determined by local branches and then reported.

But Great Pirates’ bounties are set by the World Government and then communicated to the subordinate Navy.

Sometimes the amounts they set are very puzzling, with odd numbers that make no sense in their calculations.

In some cases, their bounty assignments only consider the present. For example, a reindeer with an initial bounty as high as 50 Belly only doubled to 100 Belly after numerous major events.

For non-human creatures, they often come up with strange bounties, including but not limited to Chopper’s 50 Belly, Bepo’s 500 Belly, and now Arceus’s 5000 Belly.

The photo shows Arceus standing on the bow of the ship, seemingly taken by an agent on Wald’s ship when he arrived on the battlefield with the resupply ship.

For unknown reasons, they insist on putting out a bounty for Arceus, but without gathering enough information, they simply added this odd title.

In a sense, 5000 Belly is already a serious show of attention, as it’s 100 times Chopper’s initial bounty.

But it still doesn’t change the fact that 5000 Belly isn’t even enough for a decent meal. Furthermore, with titles like unidentified creature and pet put together, it’s no wonder Shaina is fuming.

The source of the problem was found, but it didn’t actually solve the issue.

”Let’s call the Sacred Beast Boss. We probably can’t calm Big Sis... Big Sis, where are you going?”

Watching Shaina, who was about to leave after venting, he suddenly had a bad premonition.

”What am I doing? I’m going to kill the guy who set this bounty!”

”No, Big Sis, calm down! We don’t even know who exactly set this thing. Besides, the Sacred Beast Boss opposes slaughter, and your current task is to stay here...”

Shaina’s advantage is that even in a furious state, she doesn’t engage in indiscriminate attacks like Big Mom. After experiencing hard times on the run, she even breaks only cheap things.

This time, she just couldn’t hold back her anger, which led to some destruction in the room. Now, she’s venting on rocks outside, with someone putting out the fire inside.

After much persuasion from her subordinates, coupled with Arceus’s task requirements, the two extremes canceled each other out, and she calmed down temporarily.

”Post a new bounty in the Underworld for me. Let’s find out who named this wanted poster. This isn’t over. Also, who wants to come spar with me?”

Upon hearing this, all the pirates took a step back together. Usually, sparring with Shaina meant getting beaten up, let alone at a time like this. However, there’s always a lucky one.

”Mwahahaha, what’s going on here? Why did you set the place on fire?” Queen happened to arrive here due to some matters, and after pushing aside the underlings, he saw the dangerous look in Shaina’s eyes beneath her mask.
