Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 93: Chapter 93: The Primordial Giant Bird and Two People Preparing Surprises for Each Other

With the involvement of the Hundred Beasts, the battle became extremely difficult. The physical strength of these Thousand-Year Dragons was inherently much stronger than that of humans, and only the harpoons fired from the heavy launchers on the main ship could penetrate their bodies.

And those heavy launchers, which looked similar to cannons, were immediately subjected to devastating attacks. Cannonballs might not hit as accurately, but sniping could.

The more delicate something is, the more valuable it becomes, and the stricter its usage conditions. Although these heavy launchers were not completely unable to withstand wind and waves, once the launch chamber had a few holes, it was obvious that they had lost their firing capability.

With such launchers, they didn’t even know where they would end up shooting, and the root of it all was Elizabeth’s precise sniping. In such a battlefield, the silent water bullets were silent assassination machines.

This battle left no prisoners and continued until all the enemies were eliminated. The Thousand-Year Dragons were not humans. Although this species would not actively attack humans, they would show no mercy when facing humans invading their home and harming their kind.

Several Thousand-Year Dragons were dyed red, with both dragon blood and human blood, of course. The truly frenzied killing was by Shaina, which was the traumatic aftereffect left by her and King back then.

The two of them were normal under usual conditions, but once they entered an emotional outburst phase, they would become excessive. King’s way of venting was through torture, while Shaina’s was slaughter.

On regular days, she would only give Queen a beating at most with inhibitors, but earlier, those wings had drawn out the things she usually suppressed, so she had no control when she started.

The residents within the Hundred Beasts Territory thought Shaina was a good person because she had never shown her violent side to her own people, except, well, Queen was an exception.

Her clothes were mostly red or black, which could best cover up the bloodstains. But this time, her clothes were beyond saving, constantly stained with the enemy’s blood in battle, and then dried by her own flames. This set of clothes was on the verge of being scrapped.

Currently, within the Hundred Beasts Pirates’ territory, the three most valued professions are an armament industry tech specialist, as the things from the main island not only supplement their own battle force but are also primary trade goods.

The other two are doctors and tailors.

Since all their officials are Zoan-type Ability Users, clothing with high elasticity is a necessity. Even Kaidou is no exception, which makes excellent tailors very popular.

”Why, who are you, why are you attacking us, why are you helping those beasts?!”

Some people are always uninformed. Except for the Rocks decade ago and then Roger, no pirate had become universally known. Even now, there are places where people do not recognize Whitebeard and Golden Lion.

At this point, Shaina was still far from being universally known; even within the organ trading assassination group, there were people who did not like reading newspapers.

”Beasts? Compared to them, you are probably doing things that are not even as good as beasts except for that human skin you’re wearing.”

Another charred corpse appeared in her hand. With the high-level combat power and long-range firepower completely crushed, the battle outcome was no longer in doubt. These people would only become Sky Island’s trash, carried by the White Sea currents back to the Blue Sea as time passed.

The losses of the Thousand-Year Dragons were not small; seven of them died in battle, and the remaining adult dragons were all wounded.

This was the result even when the other party tried to capture them alive. But under their desperate resistance, the strong anesthetics were hard to work, and those people chose to go all out to survive.

Seven might not seem like a lot, but this Thousand-Year Dragon group had only 27. A few had been captured earlier, and after excluding the young dragons, there were only a dozen in the battle.

Nearly one-fourth loss could be described as a devastating blow.

”Roar!~”

”Elizabeth, what are they saying again?”

”They’re giving thanks and apologizing. That Thousand-Year Dragon leader has never seen the items of the Sacred Beast Lord, but it said it might inquire with its kin on the Return Day.”

Return Day, which is the day when all the Thousand-Year Dragons gather every thousand years on the mysterious island of the East Sea. There are less than thirty years left till the next gathering.

The leader of the Thousand-Year Dragons believed that there would be kin who had seen these things.

.....

”You say you want to move homes?”

”Roar~”

”Well, this place has been discovered. It’s time to find another place. Do you want to come to ours?” No one knew where these Thousand-Year Dragons wanted to go moving or knew what events they’d encounter.

The gathering day lasted only one day. If missed, one would have to wait another thousand years to see the Thousand-Year Dragons gather again.

And they were called the Thousand-Year Dragons because the island only emerged once every thousand years due to the individual variability. Some may die after hundreds of years, and to prevent accidents, luring these Thousand-Year Dragons back would be the best.

There were twenty Thousand-Year Dragons left, to be precise, twenty and three eggs. The leader was larger, with a body exceeding ten meters, and they were enough to form a small air force.

As for whether the Thousand-Year Dragons would cause trouble, they wouldn’t. Just change their appearance.

Arceus negotiated with the Thousand-Year Dragon leader for a while; the small Thousand-Year Dragon, previously rescued, even chimed in to help.

Its father was the leader, and given the power gap, the leader agreed to Arceus’ request.

The leader had witnessed Arceus manipulating ocean currents.

In the future time within the Hundred Beasts Pirates, these Thousand-Year Dragons would be sheltered by them. They would assist as Air Cavalry and help gather information for him on the gathering day over twenty years later.

Modifying animals was far easier than modifying humans. These Thousand-Year Dragons’ appearance did not need many changes. By altering their genetic makeup with inner strength, a new form appeared inside all of them - the ancestral bird.

For the Thousand-Year Dragons, this form was easily accepted. Compared to their original form, the ancestral bird shape is akin to getting a haircut and recoloring hair. Young Thousand-Year Dragons quite enjoyed this new look.

The older Thousand-Year Dragons felt uncomfortable but changed for the safety of the race, planning to hide their true form like the Lunarians.

There were no more spaces for them on the ship, but it did not matter because the ancestral birds could fly themselves.

Kaidou favored Zoan-type Ability Users and had a fondness for some animals. Arceus thought Kaidou would be excited to see these Thousand-Year Dragons, a small surprise for a partner anyway.

Meanwhile, Kaidou shared the same idea with Arceus.

He had handed half the bananas to BIG MOM’s people, exchanging them for a heavy Plate. He had tried it, and couldn’t even break it with a swing, probably what Arceus wanted.

”He should be quite happy, shouldn’t he?” X2
