Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 91: Chapter 91: Sky Island

”The organ trafficking assassination group... I’ll remember this grudge.” Mary Geoise was already an adversary, and now there’s another one.

No one was left alive on the ship; she interrogated for information about those wings, which increased the risk of exposure. Silencing them was the only choice, especially since they were all from the organ trafficking assassination group.

This group is even more detestable than pirates.

”Queen, thanks for this time.”

After saying this, Queen’s sunglasses almost fell into the sea; he thought he should get himself an artificial cochlea.

”You actually know how to say thanks???”

The comment was inaccurate; more accurately, it was Shaina saying this word to him that was most outrageous, but Shaina’s following words proved she was still the same, fundamentally unchanged.

”Don’t get me wrong, I still hate you so-called researchers, but one thing at a time. Next time I’m about to hit you, you can remind me of this matter.”

Addressing the matter directly, Queen reminded her about the wings being worth a thank you, but changing her attitude because of it was impossible.

”A pardon from being beaten?”

”No, but I might consider hitting you a bit lighter.”

”.....”

.....

Queen and Shaina returned to their original ship; their affairs were handled very neatly, as the entire ship was burned to ashes, leaving nothing but perhaps microorganisms in the ocean could find what they needed.

Such a physical erasure couldn’t possibly be handled messily.

”Master Sacred Beast, there might be more than one ship hunting the Thousand-Year Dragon, but we haven’t found any traces of them in the nearby waters.”

This was also the intelligence obtained earlier; there were a total of three ships hunting Thousand-Year Dragons, while the remaining two ships were pursuing other Thousand-Year Dragons.

However, she and Queen circled the nearby waters for a long distance and saw no sign of any ships.

”Hunting... how are they doing it?”

Thousand-Year Dragons can fly; without this one being injured, it’s impossible for a wind-powered sailboat to catch up. Not every Thousand-Year Dragon could be injured; as long as they maintain height, ordinary cannon fire couldn’t hurt them.

”We don’t know either, but Master Sacred Beast, where do we go next?”

”To the home of the Thousand-Year Dragons, it will guide us.”

The injured Thousand-Year Dragon stood at the bow of the ship, wings waving toward the direction of the moonlight.

[Wings of midnight break through the clouds, moonlight guides the final direction]

This was a sentence previously translated by Olga, and now it seems the moonlight indeed guides the direction of the Thousand-Year Dragon’s home, as the clouds in the sky began to converge, the moonlit path gradually disappeared, and the Hundred Beasts’ ship followed the dragon’s guidance forward.

But even when they reached the end of the moonlight, no island appeared before them.

”There’s nothing here; could this dragon have pointed us in the wrong direction?”

”No, it just said we’ve arrived; their dwelling is right above us.” Elizabeth translated the Thousand-Year Dragon’s words, simultaneously looking upward with disbelief.

”Above, a Sky Island?”

Sky Island, one of the specialties of the Pirate World, is a generic term for islands in the sky, not a single island. Sky Islands exist both in the first half of Paradise and the latter half of the New World.

To the pirates and people of the New World, Sky Islands are not too unfamiliar.

It’s not because Sky Islands are more numerous in the New World, but because Golden Lion has created some floating islands, though their height is not as high as natural islands.

Even though they are man-made, they still count as part of Sky Islands.

And the so-called [Wings of midnight break through the clouds, moonlight guides the final direction] now has a more detailed answer.

This group of Thousand-Year Dragons resides here on this Sky Island, where their main source of food is sky fish.

Sky fish refer to the fish living in the high-altitude White Sea.

The clouds here are diverse, with Iron Cloud hard as iron, Rope Cloud used like rope, Swamp Cloud like marshland, and the most common Sea Cloud.

The sea formed by Sea Clouds is called the White Sea, where ships can sail on, and special fishes live.

Sky Island’s height is not uniform; the highest is usually located in the White White Sea, a height of ten thousand meters, while lower ones range several thousand meters high.

There are two ways to reach Sky Island, one is finding their hidden passages, climbing the staircase formed by Sea Clouds; the other is to find a Sky-reaching Sea Flow.

The Sky Island where these Thousand-Year Dragons live is one of the lower Sky Islands, but from below, no changes above can be seen.

The Treasure Map’s so-called wings breaking through clouds refers to Thousand-Year Dragons temporarily creating a gap in the Sea Cloud with their wings while hunting skyfish, allowing moonlight to penetrate the Sea Cloud and shine on the sea below, with the end point being directly beneath that Sky Island.

But this Thousand-Year Dragon made a mistake; it led them correctly, but this is the return path for Thousand-Year Dragons, not the landing point for human ships. Thousand-Year Dragons can fly up just by flapping their wings, but it’s not so easy for human ships.

Sky-reaching Sea Flow and Sky Islands are not linked; some Sky Island regions have nearby Sky-reaching Sea Flow, while others may not.

In other words, even though the Hundred Beasts’ ship is now directly below the living site of the Thousand-Year Dragons, the only way to ascend is by flying.

”Bosses! Something seems to be falling from the sky!”

The lookout on the ship shouted below. With moonlight starting to fade, he could barely see a few dark shadows, with most things obscured from view.

The shadows fell swiftly, soon accompanied by a series of splashes.

Not only human corpses fell, but also the corpses of Thousand-Year Dragons and fragments of ships, indicating some unknown battle above.

The dragon on board went into a frenzy at the sight of the dragon corpses, ignoring the freshly stitched wounds on its body, and flapped its wings up into the sky.

”Master Sacred Beast, what do we do now?”

”Of course, we go up. Everyone hold onto something stable and secure yourselves,” Arceus said, stomping a foot. A surge of energy passed through the ship’s hull into the sea, and shortly after, the sea began to boil.

As the members of Hundred Beasts secured themselves, a stream surged from the ocean, lifting the Hundred Beasts pirate ship toward the sky.

There was no Sky-reaching Sea Flow here, so he created his own.

The Splash Plate wielded the power to control water currents, and the Sky-reaching Sea Flow created by Arceus carried the ship soaring upward.
