Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 96: Chapter 96: The Hundred Beasts King

In the pirate world, shipbuilding is a pillar industry, and the vast Four Seas and the perilous Grand Line are navigated by ships.

As for bridge construction, the World Government has been building for so many years, yet the Bridge Kingdom remains unfinished.

The developed shipbuilding industry allows many places to find shipwrights, and this is especially true in the New World, where skilled shipwrights are in high demand across various forces.

The ever-changing maritime climate results in a high probability of ship damage, and islands near main routes almost all have the ability to repair ships, with each pirate territory having its own shipbuilding capability.

Due to the need to search for Plates, the Beasts Pirates have a high demand for ships. Kaidou can fly around, but others still require the endurance of ships.

After months of work, the main ship of the Beasts Pirates, the ”Hundred Beasts King,” was completed.

Originally, Wald came to this island intending to mold a giant cannon with the island’s craftsmanship, so the firepower of this ship is essentially saturated, and its onboard artillery power rivals that of any Navy warship.

And today, the Hundred Beasts King embarks on its maiden voyage, fully equipped with a crew of 650, where roles can alternate between sailors and combatants aside from chefs and doctors.

Early the next day, new combat orders were issued, and the people on the island began preparing supplies to set out. Battles among pirates are usually frequent, so to prevent island residents from opposing the Beasts’ external wars, a unique system was devised.

Residents providing supplies have the right to share a portion of the loot after a victorious battle. Words mean nothing compared to tangible benefits. Under such circumstances, while not everyone is tempted to join the pirates at sea, they do not oppose the Beasts’ external warfare.

It’s akin to an investment; if they lose, there’s nothing, but currently, the Beasts’ external wins outnumber losses, so residents still generally support it.

The elders on this island have witnessed many eras, and the ownership of the island has changed hands several times. To date, the Beasts are the pirate group that provides the highest quality of life here.

The cruelty of the New World surpasses other seas; without a strong backing, this island would inevitably become lawless territory, whether by pirates, human traffickers, or even the World Government, who view its residents as mere livestock.

The Heavenly Celestial Dragons are the ”gods” of the world; nations and islands not joining the World Government enjoy no rights, and the high Celestial Gold is a distinction of hierarchy.

The World Government intentionally creates ”inferior creatures,” elevating member states’ satisfaction by scorning those from nations not part of the World Government.

It is precisely the World Government’s neglect that has bred numerous powerful pirates, forming the New World’s living environment over time.

Three days later, the Hundred Beasts King was fully prepared, but with only a crew of two hundred, not fully loaded, with Arceus and Kaidou leading, along with the top cadres Shaina and King. Even with a reduced crew, the combat power remains formidable.

The Thousand-Year Dragons also boarded; upon learning this organization was the one that previously attacked them, the leader of the Thousand-Year Dragons volunteered to join the battle.

Kaidou didn’t initially need to be on this ship, but he’s not one to stay idle. Most of the time, he’s not in his territory but wandering, searching for Plates for Arceus while also handling his matters.

Recently, there was another report of him being captured and then escaping unscathed.

Arceus was unsure where Morgans got this information; according to those involved, the newspaper’s report was mostly accurate, though somewhat embellished.

Plus, with this being the flagship’s maiden voyage, Kaidou, as the current Governor of the Beasts Pirates, naturally had to sail together.

Yes, with the Beasts’ expansion, his role has clearly become that of Governor, and then there’s King and the others as main executives.

Shaina, although not a main executive, is equivalent to one.

The sea breeze filled the ship’s main sail, and the Hundred Beasts King commenced its initial voyage.

...

On a certain island in the New World, there’s a headquarters for an organ trafficking assassination group in the New World. Although named the organ trafficking assassination group, they engage in many business ventures.

While organ trafficking is their primary business, assassination, mercenaries, and similar services are also within their offerings. They resemble illegal bounty hunters.

This description is somewhat inaccurate; from humanitarian and legal perspectives, they are indeed an illegal organization.

However, from the World Government’s perspective, they aren’t illegal because this organization isn’t even on any wanted lists. Through some clandestine ties with the World Government, they operate legally in the open.

The organ trafficking assassination group engages in many business activities but not human trafficking, as they exclusively sell organs, not live humans.

Many individuals are held in the headquarters’ underground jail, receiving scientifically balanced meals and being forced to exercise daily, as the best culture medium is still the human body. In their eyes, these people are living vessels.

Once a suitable match arises for a business opportunity, these individuals are killed to harvest their organs.

Although blood types here are more diverse, people’s physiques are also stronger, making organ matches simpler.

Their business network spans the globe, leading to daily deaths here.

In a seemingly neat office, a man in a suit chews gum, unsuspected to be the leader of this notorious organization.

”Manager, isn’t the price we’re paying too steep for this?”

The manager is how the leader of the organ trafficking assassination group refers to himself, considering himself a legitimate businessman and expecting his subordinates to address him accordingly.

To connect with the Heavenly Celestial Dragons, he has utilized all his resources. If nothing is gained, it would be a significant loss for them.

”Don’t worry, Kekeding, this is a big deal. Waiting is worthwhile.”

Marine travel isn’t very convenient, taking a dozen days on a trip is considered fast, and hunting mythical creatures like the Thousand-Year Dragons was expectedly time-consuming.

”Has that new product found a buyer?”

”Yes, a King from the West Sea is interested. His son has been frail and sickly since birth, always wanting a stronger organ, and he’s intrigued by the Fur Race.

The buyer has arrived at the Red Earth Continent’s trading location, awaiting our delivery.”

”Good, this deal is ten times the profit of ordinary business, proceed immediately. If that guy goes berserk again and injures himself, it’ll be troublesome.”
