Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 68: Chapter 68: Queen’s Cool Lasts Only 3 Seconds

There are many pirates on the sea, and it’s not that there aren’t ones stronger than Wald, but the World Government has recently only formulated a similar plan against Wald.

The reason is simple, Wald’s actions pose too significant a threat to the World Government. Unlike other Great Pirates, who maintain an alternative stability in a sea area like a warlord, Wald does not.

The scope of this world is vast, and all member nations need the power of the Navy. Although the overall strength of the Navy is strong, it is spread thin worldwide and must allocate part of its force to serve the Heavenly Celestial Dragon.

As for the power of the World Government, they have always turned a blind eye to such matters. The existence or absence of Great Pirates in the New World does not affect the operation of their rules. The heavenly tributes are collected as usual every year, and pirates can even help deflect contradictions for them.

The World Government even benefits from the commercial activities in these sea areas ruled by Great Pirates. Slave trade, arms trade, such gray businesses cannot do without the existence of pirates.

As long as it’s not an event that shakes the foundation of the government, the World Government won’t interfere excessively, merely maintaining the balance in their eyes.

Many things are a hassle for the World Government, but as long as it doesn’t involve the mysterious D Clan and Joy Boy, it’s not a big hassle.

Rocks gathered too much power and had notions of world subversion. He carries the mysterious letter D in his name, and these reasons combined prompted the government to take action.

Garp also has the letter D in his name and currently holds a stable position as a Navy Hero.

As for Wald, although his name doesn’t contain D, his actions have no significance for the balance of the World Government.

His purpose for setting sail had long altered. At first, he wanted to explore the world with his big brother, but in the process, he lost himself in power. Destruction, overthrowing the World Government, and pursuing the highest ”freedom” became his goals.

Wald doesn’t have a large territory and fleet, and his attacks are indiscriminate, striking pirates, Navy, civilians, and any ship regardless of affiliation, which inevitably put him on the government’s elimination list.

Wald’s appearance in this sea area was to craft a tremendously powerful cannon, believing that with this super cannon plus his abilities, he could overthrow the world.

His subordinate Gaielam is quite talented in mechanics, the blueprint has appeared, but they need Kaidou’s island’s technology to craft it, along with a lot of special materials.

These plans had long been reported to the World Government by spies on the ship. According to Wald’s course, he will inevitably pass through a sea area later to obtain those materials.

At this moment, the Navy had laid an ambush near that sea area, but the sea changes too much, the dominator of this sea area suddenly became Kaidou, who engaged in combat with Wald, thoroughly disrupting the original plan.

”Act according to the situation, don’t reveal your identity until necessary, report the battle situation at all times.”

”Yes, understood.”

Although the great battle between Kaidou and Wald presents an opportunity, there was no intention from above to send troops at that moment, which is why they arranged an ambush halfway. The neighboring territories belong to the Golden Lion and others, dispatching fleets without warning may disrupt the current balance.

The World Government does not want to rashly initiate a war; they’ll wait until the battles between the two pirates end and then send appropriate personnel based on both parties’ conditions.

The infiltration team on Wald’s ship is not just one spy but an elite squad, disguised as lowly crew members on Wald’s ship.

Cadres won’t interfere in lower-level battles before solving their opponents; it’s straightforward if they want to slack off.

Zoan fruit users are not afraid of enduring battles; the longer the time drags on, the more advantageous it is for them, and their robust recovery power can even make them fight more valiantly.

Sebastian is a hybrid of fishmen and giants, and with the home advantage brought by the sea, he can evade most attacks. Moreover, Shaina has been in a state of swimming combat with him, so his stamina is still sufficient.

But it’s different for Gaielam fighting King; his fruit isn’t strong in direct combat, and the flames behind King are extremely fierce, meaning King’s defense is maxed out, with his Rock Type thick-skinned body making Gaielam’s attacks ineffective.

Gaielam had no choice but to confront King directly. After the Hundred Beasts’ ship approached, he had no reason to continue targeting the engine room and shifted his focus to Bingjack.

Standing on the ship’s bridge directing the battle, Bingjack was too conspicuous.

As the ship’s commander, of course, the combatants must protect him, not to mention he’s Wald’s big brother.

Ship doctor Nightin has also joined the fight; together, they managed to hold King off.

Nightin is the only female officer on Wald’s ship, proficient in using her self-researched ”Chinese Herbal Fist,” occasionally dispersing some medicine to interfere with the enemy.

Originally, the battle here could last a while longer, but reinforcements from the Hundred Beasts have arrived.

”Mwahahaha, taste the power of your Lord Queen!”

A dense rain of bullets descended from the sky, taking down many members of the Wald Pirates. However, some from the Hundred Beasts were also hit.

This wasn’t Queen’s indiscriminate attack. At Arceus’s repeated requests, he still paid attention to matters like this, but with the ongoing chaos, friendly fire was unavoidable.

From an overall profit standpoint, Queen’s attack resolved most of the enemies, and their own just suffered injuries, making the casualties less than if they continued to fight.

Queen’s human modification techniques have always been rather outlandish. Originally, he installed a machine gun in his mouth, but after acquiring Tropius’s powers, he modified it, removed the original ammo supply, and replaced it with a special gun barrel.

With this special gun barrel, he can increase the power of his Bullet Seed and add special toxins to the bullets fired by it.

This time, fearing friendly fire, the toxins weren’t used, but from the sky, he could impose unlimited firepower suppression.

”It’s Lord Queen! Our reinforcements have arrived! Charge!”

The ship appearing in the distance and Queen in the sky completely turned the tide of the battle. The morale of the Hundred Beasts Pirates soared, while the Wald Pirates started retreating, gradually losing control of the ships.

”That’s right, just like that, give it your all!” Queen shouted with a manic laugh from the sky, but his grand moment lasted no more than three seconds before a heavy punch hit his face directly. Wald, who had been battling Kaidou, suddenly appeared.
