Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 54: Chapter 54: Do You Believe in Destiny?

The flag was raised like this, and his concerns were not unfounded.

The purity of Seastone can be adjusted simply by changing the proportion of PYROBROIN within it.

However, this technique is a secret passed down in Wano Kuni, and only the craftsmen from Wano Kuni have this skill.

Seastone is extremely hard, making it very difficult to process, and the content of the ore is random, so the purity of the Seastone handcuffs the Navy possesses depends on the purity of the ore. Since G4 is located in the first half, and the previous base commander was a bona fide hawk.

He advocated for elimination rather than capture, so most of the Seastone handcuffs in the base were taken by him to support brother units.

Devil Fruit users are not as common as Chinese cabbage; many times you won’t encounter one for several months, so leaving one or two for emergencies is enough.

”Vice Admiral, aren’t you being a bit too worried? This is the Navy Base, what could possibly happen?”

”Have you so quickly forgotten the lesson of Branch 277?”

”Vice Admiral, that was a branch of the Four Seas, but this is the Grand Line; we are not like those people. Besides, I’ve already doubled the number of sentries, Vice Admiral, rest assured,”

However, they didn’t notice that, with the arrival of new soldiers, two people who shouldn’t be there appeared in Kaidou’s prison.

As for how they got in, this is a temporarily modified prison, with dimensions made to fit Kaidou’s size.

And Kaidou’s arms are thicker than Olga’s waist, so a temporary prison built for Kaidou is like an unguarded place for Olga.

However, at this moment she already had some sweat on her forehead; her Fruit Ability consumes stamina, and although her real age is over a hundred, her physical age is still over 8 years old, so maintaining a phantom for such a long time was already quite good.

Creating a phantom of Kaidou still being bound, she gestured to Elizabeth to go unlock it.

She gained the ability after being modified as a user, and would still be affected when touching Seastone, but Elizabeth is different; it has no influence from the Devil Fruit.

Facing Kaidou’s chain, a stream of water gathered on its finger, then it poured the stream into the keyhole.

With the clicking and turning sound, the chains obviously began to loosen.

In comparison, Olga encountered a new difficulty.

How to wake a drunk person, waiting online for an answer.

She only had two ways to retreat: either wake Kaidou up and let him take them out forcibly, or declare the mission a failure and await Arceus’ rescue.

Actually, she didn’t know, Arceus had an idea, after finding the Fighting Type Plate, he wanted most of the Hundred Beast Corps members to learn the Wake-Up Slap, so that Kaidou wouldn’t stay asleep.

Well, being drunk asleep still counts as being asleep, it’s just as effective.

She nearly pulled off Kaidou’s mustache, and Elizabeth had already unlocked the lock, but Kaidou showed no intention of waking up.

In the end, she had no other choice but to see a few remaining barrels by the side, even though Kaidou’s whole body reeked of alcohol looking like he was already drunk, but at this point, she could only fight poison with poison.

Carrying a barrel of liquor over to Kaidou, she poured it right over him, and it proved to be effective.

”Hic~ Brat, what are you doing? Do you want to drink too?”

Kaidou burped, then leaned against the wall and sat up, disdainfully looking at the chains on him, then continued drinking.

”Captain Kaidou, can you mind the setting a bit! This is the Navy Base! Not the place for your drinking!”

Running into a Navy Base on the first official action, the tension was imaginable, but she had long since trained herself.

She used to be timid as well, but having survived over a hundred years in the stomach of a Sea King, she had experienced many things, dinosaurs, plant poisoning, gastric acid tsunamis, carnivorous plants; surviving was already not easy.

Olga’s words seemed to finally wake Kaidou up, watching the silent Kaidou, Olga thought he finally understood the situation.

”Alright, Captain Kaidou, the Navy outside hasn’t noticed my illusion, let’s hurry back to the ship.” In her eyes, leaving now was the best option, after all, outside was a whole base of Navy soldiers.

Moreover, the time her illusion could last was running out.

But the next second, she saw Kaidou crying, then she had a bad feeling.

Kaidou, after drinking too much, either would sleep deeply or go on a drunken rampage, which was something everyone on the ship knew, and one of the biggest traits of his drunken rampage was beginning to cry uncontrollably after losing emotional control.

The next moment, he directly threw the barrel in his hand out hard, smashing it against the outer railing.

”Uhh.. Ah~! I’m so useless! To be caught by the Navy, and even need an intern to rescue me, damn it, bastard!” With that, he started smashing the walls around him.

”Hey! Captain Kaidou, at this rate my illusion will... not hold...”

Under Kaidou’s destructive drunkenness, Olga’s stamina could no longer sustain the illusion, but there was no point in continuing anyway, because when Kaidou threw the barrel at the railing, the Navy outside noticed the anomaly.

”Who are you! How did you get in here!”

Numerous guns pointed at the temporary prison, and at the same time, several cannons also adjusted their direction; for ordinary Navy soldiers, firearms still gave them the most sense of security.

Compared to Olga and Elizabeth who suddenly appeared beside Kaidou, Hedro was looking at those chains on the ground, which meant that Kaidou was no longer bound at this time.

”Illusion... a Fruit Ability user? Damn it.” An unbound Kaidou would certainly cause great destruction here, but contrary to his expectations, Kaidou didn’t seem intent on a massive slaughter.

He just grabbed Olga and Elizabeth in each hand, transformed into a giant dragon, and directly rushed out of the prison, leaving in front of countless Navy faces.

”The wine from your base is not bad, see you later, you damn Navy.”

No reason, just didn’t want to, he acts entirely according to his mood. Last time he caused extensive destruction at a research institute, this time he just didn’t feel like being destructive, and even took Olga and them, though Olga’s stealth operation did prove her capability.

But she still didn’t qualify to face a whole base of Navy with Kaidou.

Just because he wanted to leave didn’t mean the Navy would let him go, the gunners adjusted the angle of the cannons, and dense bullets were shot towards him.

”Damn you bastards, I was already planning to leave!”

A thick fire column spewed from Kaidou’s mouth, causing a chain explosion in several artillery magazines, and seeing the Navy busying themselves with firefighting, Kaidou left here, satisfied.

When they returned to the ship, they were greeted by the cheers of the crew, in their eyes, this was proof of Kaidou’s strength, but one person was an exception—Arceus.

While the pirates below were still reveling, Arceus found Kaidou separately.

”What benefit did you gain from doing this, aside from wasting time, what else did you gain? What was the purpose of such behavior?”

Kaidou’s face still bore signs of inebriation, but his eyes were exceptionally clear, and he said something that Arceus didn’t quite understand.

”Do you believe in prophecy and destiny?”
