Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 88: Chapter 88: Life Dew

”Where’s the ship doctor? Take out what’s inside it.”

As of now, the Hundred Beasts pirate crew has more than one ship doctor. Though Queen is still the one with the highest medical skill in the crew, there’s only one Queen, and the Hundred Beasts pirate crew is not a small-scale crew like the Straw Hats, so he can’t handle everything alone.

Top doctors are hard to find, but it’s pretty easy to find some regular ones. Their skills don’t need to be outstanding; they just need to handle simple colds, fevers, food poisoning, and external injuries, which are the most common situations on board.

”Um, Lord Sacred Beast, if we pull it out... it might die immediately.”

Unable to pull out an object that pierced through, not just those pirates, even watching a few more TV episodes makes one understand this principle.

The black arrow piercing its body is as thick as an arm, with huge barbs on it. The Thousand-Year Dragon struggled in the air, causing more tearing, and the wound was already bleeding.

Though the bleeding is reducing now, it’s because its internal organs’ blood production can’t keep up with the bleeding rate.

”I know, you don’t have to worry about anything else, just pull it out and prepare to sew up the wound.”

”Understood, I got it.”

Someone was forced to treat the Thousand-Year Dragon just like a duck driven up to a rack; he’d seen veterinarians forced to treat humans, but he was the first doctor forced to treat the Thousand-Year Dragon.

Soon a bigger problem emerged—they couldn’t cut that black arrow.

The arrowhead has massive barbs, and the tail is connected to a thick iron chain. To pull it out, they must cut it in half, but this black arrow’s material is unknown, leaving not even a mark.

Finally, the water blade on Elizabeth’s tail cut through the black arrow, and then Olga acted as the anesthetist.

Zoroark’s illusion ability is not just ordinary fantasy; it has a tangible form that can trick camera captures and deceive creatures’ perceptions, imposing a false illusion on the Thousand-Year Dragon to not feel pain.

Then two pirates exerted force together to pull out the black arrow.

The wound was hideous, showing shattered internal organs and bone fragments; even if he wasn’t a veterinarian, he’d sentenced this Thousand-Year Dragon to death.

Afterward, a water mass flew out of Arceus’s body, slamming onto the Thousand-Year Dragon.

Then, a wave appeared on the deck, and the energy from the droplets flowed into the Thousand-Year Dragon, healing not only the dragon but even the small wounds on the pirates within the range.

Life Dew, a new skill acquired after obtaining the Splash Plate.

A Water Type skill, one of the few moves that can restore life force of allied companions, enhancing the body’s self-healing capability though it can’t fix severed limbs unless the species inherently possesses such capability.

The cavity left by the black arrow was too large, so stitching was still needed.

In the ship doctor’s eyes, the necrotized parts inside the Thousand-Year Dragon seemed to regain vitality.

”Divine power...”

The Monster Strength Technique obtained by Babanuki shocked them, but it’s more of a cultivation ability, understood as Babanuki receiving reinforcement.

Such divine power that pulled back the Thousand-Year Dragon from the brink of death was even more overwhelming, especially for those roughly acquainted with medical skill.

The substantial healing power almost means they now have an extra chance of survival in the future.

”Stop dazing, quickly stitch the wound!” Casting this realistic illusion consumes more of Olga’s energy, as it involves blocking both vision and pain perception.

Seeing the dazed ship doctor, she urged him, finally making him respond, and start stitching the wound in a hurried flurry.

The Thousand-Year Dragon didn’t have hard scales, which was good news, otherwise the needles and threads prepared for human use in his medical kit might not be effective, now they just had to shave off the excess hair for stitching.

However, this task was carried out by the ship’s cook instead, as he shaved too slowly, and the dragon’s hair was rather tough, making him clumsy, unlike the ship’s chef who was more dexterous.

With the cook and doctor’s collaboration, the Thousand-Year Dragon’s wound was treated, and when Olga released the illusion, the dragon had regained its vitality.

Though the wound still hurt, it was an acceptable degree for it.

It seemed unclear about what happened, showing a bewildered look at its bare patch of belly.

”How’s it feeling?”

”Roar...”

”Oh, that’s good. Have you seen anything similar to this?”

”Roar...”

Next was the communication between Arceus and the Thousand-Year Dragon, but no one present except Elizabeth understood what the dragon was saying.

”Elizabeth, what’s the dragon saying?”

”It says it’s only two hundred years old, doesn’t know many things, but it can take us home to ask its dad, who’s already lived for over six hundred years and is still... expressing thanks.”

Olga’s illusion didn’t block some things; it knew Arceus saved it though it hadn’t seen the Plate Arceus was looking for, and it had never left this area since birth.

But its father flew over from other seas, so he should know some news. It sensed Arceus’s goodwill and thus was willing to take him home to look around.

The Thousand-Year Dragon merely couldn’t speak human language, but wasn’t stupid; it could identify who was the spokesperson on the ship. If it were human, it might not trust even if saved.

But Arceus’s appearance made it choose to trust, especially the aura emitted and those divine powers deepened its trust.

”Roar~”

”It says it’s hungry and asks if we have food,” Elizabeth conveyed, and with Arceus’s instruction, the chef had a new task.

But this time the task was simple, for this Thousand-Year Dragon only needed raw fish.

On another front, Queen was expressing gratitude to those who saved him from distress; like using Bullet Seed to sweep the deck.

Cannon firing on the sea signified declaring war, since they’ve fired, combat was the only outcome.

More so, that’s the very reason he came here; doing nothing would indeed be troubling.

The scattered organizations on the sea are countless, the best method to recognize them is by looking at flags, but Queen was facing a ship with a unique insignia.

The ship’s sails lacked pirate’s skull flag, World Government’s cross symbol, and Navy’s seagull flag, instead carrying a peculiar scalpel and spherical emblem.

To Queen, this pattern was familiar, for they are among the most notorious groups on the sea—the organ trafficking assassination group.
