The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Liu Yunong stared at the plate of Furong Pork in front of her, which was nothing short of perfect, and fell silent for a moment.

She thought of her own experiences of practicing repeatedly back in the day, yet unable to succeed.

She knew that through this dish, Fu Yu was demonstrating talent, ability, and skill!

At this moment, how could she not understand that Fu Yu must have been secretly working hard, even burning the midnight oil?

He truly had so much perseverance, determination, and a strong desire to learn!

It’s only been a short time since he started learning Liu Family Cuisine, yet he has improved so much.

Given time, how far will he grow?

Liu Yunong felt a surge of emotion and genuinely praised, ”Xiaofu, you’ve made this Furong Pork exceptionally well! In just a few days of learning Liu Family Cuisine, you’ve reached this level. In my opinion, it won’t be long before you surpass me.”

Liu Yunong’s words were quite sincere.

Although she felt that with her current cooking skills, Fu Yu might still fall slightly short compared to her.

But those gaps, with Fu Yu’s inherent talent and through continuous learning and practice, would eventually enable him to master Liu Family Cuisine.

After all, the cooking lessons during this period were merely an introduction to the operations of Liu Family Cuisine.

It was just the beginning of truly touching the core cooking content of Liu Family Cuisine.

Fu Yu received Liu Yunong’s verbal recognition and said with a smile, ”It’s because of the great teaching from my mentor.”

Liu Yunong felt a sudden pause in her melancholy feeling and suddenly raised her head.

That’s right!

The ways of cooking Liu Family Cuisine that Fu Yu knew were taught by her, step by step.

Perhaps... She actually had a real knack for teaching and nurturing talent?

Should she perhaps expand her discipleship and discover more talented culinary students?

Thinking of this, Liu Yunong suddenly felt a strong sense of her own prowess.

Actually, with the deep roots of Liu Family Cuisine, taking on more disciples and training efficient kitchen staff is extremely necessary.

Liu Yunong decided to find time to ponder over this matter carefully.

To summarize what she has done so far and look forward to the future.

After all, her life’s ambition is to open Shangshi Private Kitchens nationwide, expand beyond the country, and glorify the name.

Thinking of this, Liu Yunong suddenly felt a genuine sense of pride welling up within her.

She looked at Fu Yu with a smile and commented, ”Moreover, you’ve grasped the key details of this dish, managing some tricky parts very well. Especially, the force applied when flattening the knife, you understood the essence of this dish, which is quite rare.”

Liu Zhangpeng, who was plating the dish, happened to hear this round of evaluation and couldn’t help but be surprised. ”What’s the essence? The force of flattening the knife? Is it when smashing the shrimp and pork fat? Isn’t it just about pressing them tightly against the meat slices?”

Wang Yulong felt frustrated and wished he could mold Liu Zhangpeng anew.

He whispered a reminder, ”Pressing against the meat slices requires control over the force when flattening the knife. The way you hammer it usually, the force is too great. I’ve told you countless times, and you never heed!”

”Truly pressing against the meat slices means that when the customer tastes it, they can also experience a seamless texture!”

After saying this, still feeling unsatisfied, he couldn’t help but mutter under his breath, ”Such a pig brain, a pig brain...”

Hearing this, Liu Zhangpeng was first stunned, then he realized and mulled it over carefully, suddenly having a moment of enlightenment as if seeing through the essence.

So that’s how it is!

...

Busy for the entire evening.

At 10:30, Shangshi Private Kitchen closed for business on time.

Fu Yu caught a ride with Liu Yunong and returned to Qianlima’s dormitory a little after 11 PM.

Now, the back-to-back busy life, for him, was hectic yet fulfilling.

The only time of day he could truly relax was the time before falling asleep at night.

Fu Yu would typically freshen up a bit and then collapse onto the bed.

The time he used to call home every evening was now shifted to the journey from Qianlima to Shangshi Private Kitchen in the afternoon.

This gave him plenty of time to chat with his parents.

Picking up his phone and browsing through his contacts, he recalled his mother urging him this afternoon to hurry up and find a girlfriend, which made him smile slightly.

Back in summer, his mom’s concern was whether he could successfully become a regular employee and stay at Qianlima as a full-time worker.

In just half a year, the focus had shifted to his marriage matters.

An unexplainable sense of accomplishment crept into Fu Yu’s heart, albeit after the fact.

But soon, he directed his attention back to the contact list.

Lin Minghao, this guy, who knows what he’s been busy with lately.

Fu Yu had called him two days in a row, only to find him either busy or not answering the phone.

This afternoon, while being nagged by his mom, Fu Yu thought of Lin Minghao again and called him, but still got no answer.

Fu Yu tried dialing once more.

He figured that since it was so late, surely Lin Minghao would have time to pick up the phone, right?

Yet still, there was no answer.

Are their studies so busy in his field?

Not knowing much, Fu Yu decided to put down the phone, closed his eyes, laid on the bed, leisurely browsed through some classic old recipes, and soon fell asleep as drowsiness overtook him.

...

Zhang Xueyao’s recent study progress has been very smooth.

Ever since her acne was treated effectively, her entire personality and temperament have noticeably changed.

Although her family conditions don’t allow much, she still strives to find ways to improve her living environment.

Every night at half-past nine, after school, the first thing she does when she gets home is wash her face thoroughly, change the pillowcase that was washed clean the night before, and then wash the dirty one and hang it out to dry.

She changes her clothes daily, keeping the school uniform on but hand washing and air drying the underclothes.

Additionally, she puts her pillowcase in a black plastic bag weekly and lets it sun-dry outside to kill mites.

These were all skincare methods that Fu Yu had repeatedly emphasized to her.

Zhang Xueyao strictly adhered to them and consistently followed them.

Initially, the changes were not very noticeable, and not many people close to her or in her class took notice.

However, as her skin gradually improved, her already outstanding features were fully revealed, and suddenly, more and more people noticed her transformation.

Teenagers in puberty tend to pay a lot of attention to the opposite sex.

A female classmate who has always been unassuming suddenly becomes attractive and charming, and this undoubtedly attracts attention from others.

Zhang Xueyao’s significant transformation instantly captured many eyes, becoming the focal point of everyone’s attention.
