The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Hearing the doctor’s diagnosis, Su Hong let out a genuine sigh of relief.

As long as it doesn’t involve their restaurant, the remaining issues are unrelated to them.

Fan Shuzhi carefully asked the doctor about his mother’s treatment plan.

Yu Feihong glanced at Fan Shuzhi and said, ”Your mother’s condition is chronic gastritis. Given her age, we will try to use conservative treatment. I’ll prescribe some medications to enhance gastric motility, protect the gastric mucosa, and suppress acid production. The goal is to promote gastric emptying, protect the gastric mucosa, and reduce bile and bile acid content, thus alleviating symptoms.”

Hearing this, Fan Shuzhi nodded repeatedly, ”Alright, doctor, as long as it’s beneficial for my mother’s condition, you can prescribe any good medication.”

Yu Feihong noted, ”You can rest assured. I’ll definitely customize the most suitable treatment plan based on the patient’s condition.”

Fan Shuzhi cautiously asked, ”Then, doctor, is my mother’s condition really not serious? Can medication control it?”

He was still somewhat skeptical of the doctor’s words.

After all, doctors often try to calm patients and their families with their words.

Yu Feihong shook his head, ”It’s not very serious. Your mother’s problem is not too severe, fortunately treated very promptly. If vomiting and severe bile reflux occur, it could easily lead to complications.”

Those words made Fan Shuzhi break out in a cold sweat!

Luckily, luckily.

Luckily, she was taken to the hospital promptly!

Thinking of this, Fan Shuzhi quickly thanked Yu Feihong, ”Thank you so much, Director Yu! Really, thank you!”

Yu Feihong shook his head and said, ”If you’re going to thank someone, you should really thank Boss Dong. If it weren’t for him, your mother would have had to be sent directly to the emergency room by now.”

The emergency department could provide treatment as well, but it wouldn’t be as targeted and effective as the treatment here.

Fan Shuzhi nodded repeatedly, increasingly grateful to the two staff members who came from Qianlima.

After leaving the clinic, Fan Shuzhi expressed his gratitude towards Su Hong and Sun Wei.

Su Hong quickly exchanged a few polite words with Fan Shuzhi, then gave Sun Wei a meaningful look, calling him aside to instruct him to go to a nearby fruit store to buy a fruit basket.

Although there was no liability issue, the elderly lady fell ill while dining at the restaurant, and they came over together. They couldn’t just ignore it without any gesture.

In the ensuing arrangement of the ward and settling the patient, Su Hong followed closely, helping Fan Shuzhi with the inside and outside arrangements.

This made Fan Shuzhi very touched.

Once the elderly lady was settled, Sun Wei returned with a very exquisite fruit basket.

Su Hong gave the fruit basket to the elderly lady and handed a discount card from the restaurant to Fan Shuzhi.

This was something Fan Shuzhi had not expected, and he refused to accept it.

”No need, I can’t accept this. Today’s matter was just a misunderstanding. I acted too impulsively.”

Su Hong smiled gently and kindly said, ”You were worried out of concern, it’s understandable. Everyone has elderly people at home.”

As she spoke, she handed the discount card to Fan Shuzhi.

Fan Shuzhi blushed, ”Really, there’s no need. I really can’t take it...”

Su Hong tucked the discount card into Fan Shuzhi’s hand, ”Mr. Fan, please just take it. This is our small gesture of goodwill.”

Unable to refuse, Fan Shuzhi had to accept it, feeling even more touched inside.

When Su Hong and Sun Wei were leaving, he personally escorted them to the elevator, waving goodbye.

In the service industry, especially in dining, it’s very easy to encounter unexpected situations.

What happened today has occurred before.

As long as there’s no liability, everything is easier to say. But once there’s any connection, it can lead to endless disputes.

Su Hong and Sun Wei felt relieved, each calling their supervisors to report the situation’s progress, then said goodbye to each other and returned to their respective homes.

In the ward, Fan Shuzhi looked at his mother, who was already asleep after receiving effective treatment, feeling very heavy-hearted.

He hadn’t realized his mother’s health had deteriorated to such an extent, nor had he realized how his usual attitude could impact her well-being.

This left him feeling self-blaming and regretful.

He tried to keep himself busy, buying some supplies needed for hospitalization and food that the doctor allowed once his mother’s condition improved.

Finally able to sit down and rest, he picked up his phone and started informing his family.

After notifying everyone, Fan Shuzhi sat alone by the hospital bed, filled with emotion.

With nowhere to express his feelings, he inexplicably posted a WeChat moment.

The picture was of the discount card from Qianlima and the exquisite high-end fruit basket.

The caption was a simple line: [Thank you to the staff of Qianlima for their help, truly moved!]

When friends started leaving comments to ask, Fan Shuzhi then recounted the day’s events.

He highly praised Qianlima’s service attitude.

In an instant, unknowingly, he did a round of service promotion for Qianlima in his moments.

Meanwhile, Fu Yu, still in the kitchen, had no knowledge of these events.

He was busy taking orders and working, anxiously awaiting news from Sun Wei.

Time went from five in the evening to seven o’clock.

At this moment, Zhao Meng suddenly received a phone call.

After hanging up, he quickly turned to Fu Yu to report, ”Don’t worry, the elderly lady is fine. She has chronic gastritis, unrelated to our restaurant.”

The heavy weight on Fu Yu’s heart finally lifted.

Actually, when the couple of dishes were brought back and properly preserved, Zhao Meng had tasted one of the prawns immediately.

The flavor was fine, well-cooked, and the prawns were fresh.

If a customer felt unwell after eating the prawns, it was due to their own health condition, unrelated to their kitchen.

However, even though he knew this clearly, without confirmation from the hospital, it was hard to fully relax.

Now that it was confirmed there’s no liability, the matter could be considered closed.

Zhao Meng, with the concern in his heart resolved, was suddenly in a good mood.

Knowing Fu Yu had an appointment to learn cooking from Liu Yunong in the evening, he quickly took over the remaining tasks for Fu Yu.

This finally allowed Fu Yu to leave, rushing to take a taxi to Shangshi Private Kitchen.

At this time, it was the peak of business at the restaurant.

The private dining rooms in the front hall were fully booked.

Fu Yu quickly changed his clothes and went straight to the kitchen.

Despite Fu Yu’s late arrival, Liu Yunong did not say much but directly called him to the cooking station and started teaching hands-on.

Among today’s ten new dishes, there’s one very unique, passed down by the Liu Family, not something one could learn elsewhere.

When Fu Yu saw this dish, he felt relieved.

This dish, steamed chicken with fermented bean curd, he had once mastered during the full chicken cooking task.
