The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Wang Kangxu, blood boiling and impulsive, relied on his strong physique and forcefully tried to pull Liu Yuqing into his embrace without consideration.

While it seemed like the man’s morals were nowhere to be found, Wang Kangxu genuinely didn’t intend to do anything inappropriate.

He was just anxious, afraid that if he missed today’s opportunity, he would completely lose his chance to pursue Liu Yuqing.

Fu Yu was about to turn and leave, but seeing this scene in front of him, he erupted in anger.

Without thinking, he lifted his leg and charged forward, ready to knock that bastard out with a single punch!

Wang Kangxu, trying hard to hug Liu Yuqing, pleaded urgently, ”Xiaoqing, I’ve always liked you for so many years! Really, give me a chance, I’ll prove to you...”

Fu Yu had already rushed forward, swinging his arm to deliver a punch to Wang Kangxu, but before he could, Liu Yuqing kicked Wang Kangxu, causing him to stagger back two steps.

”Ugh...”

Wang Kangxu clutched his crotch with both hands, looking at Liu Yuqing in agony and disbelief, hunched over in pain, unable to straighten his back.

Liu Yuqing glared at Wang Kangxu furiously, her tone sharp and urgent: ”Wang Kangxu, what do you think you’re doing? Are you insane? I’m telling you, if you do this again, I’ll call the police!”

”Don’t come looking for me ever again!”

With that, Liu Yuqing turned and left.

Seeing Liu Yuqing unharmed, Fu Yu quickly retracted his raised arm, swung it behind him, and pretended nothing had happened as he walked over.

As long as Liu Yuqing was fine.

Liu Yuqing was still fuming, though she had kicked Wang Kangxu, she wasn’t quite satisfied.

Just for the sake of their old classmate relationship, she couldn’t really call the police, but she decided she would never have any contact with Wang Kangxu again in the future.

As she was about to leave, she turned and suddenly saw Fu Yu approaching.

She turned too quickly, and the righteous anger Fu Yu had felt earlier had no time to dissipate.

Their eyes met.

Neither of them spoke, yet it seemed like everything had been said.

Seeing Fu Yu’s angry expression, Liu Yuqing couldn’t help but feel a surge of unspeakable satisfaction.

However, Liu Yuqing quickly adjusted her expression.

She wasn’t stupid enough to use Fu Yu as a shield against Wang Kangxu.

She had already handled this matter very well.

Decisively and without any ambiguity.

Besides, she didn’t want to cause trouble for Fu Yu.

Fu Yu was so busy now, she couldn’t add to his burden or hold him back.

Thinking of this, Liu Yuqing put on a look of embarrassment for being caught in an awkward situation and deliberately said coldly, ”What are you looking at! Don’t block the way!”

Fu Yu cleared his throat, quickly stepped aside, and explained, ”Oh, I just happened to pass by, I was going to the restroom.”

With that, Fu Yu turned and headed in the direction of the kitchen.

Liu Yuqing glanced at him, amused, but didn’t expose him.

Fu Yu took a few steps and couldn’t help but look back at Wang Kangxu, still hunched over, trying to ease the sudden pain. His original anger quickly dissipated.

Picking up girls right out in a restaurant!

Completely oblivious to the danger, doesn’t everyone in the kitchen use knives?

Humph.

Serves him right!

Feeling better, Fu Yu walked back to the kitchen with a lighter step.

Back in the kitchen, Fu Yu found a comfortable spot to lean against and took a short nap.

In a half-dream state, he unexpectedly thought of what Liu Yuqing had said:

”If I ever find a boyfriend, he must be good at cooking.”

In his shallow dream, Fu Yu unconsciously curled his lips into a smile.

After a brief nap, Fu Yu felt full of energy throughout the afternoon.

This pleasant mood lasted until the evening when he went to Shangshi Private Kitchen.

Now, when Fu Yu went to Shangshi Private Kitchen, it felt just like going to the music restaurant; he was familiar with all the staff, got along well with them, and even had his own cooking station and uniform.

Other than not having to clock in, it felt just like working, very comfortable.

However, tonight, when Fu Yu took a cab to Shangshi Private Kitchen, he suddenly noticed that the kitchen staff weren’t busy preparing ingredients or cooking.

He peeked in and saw Wang Yulong leaning against the kitchen counter, surrounded by Liu Zhangpeng and others.

It looked like they were having a meeting.

Just then, Zhang Conglin was passing by, and Fu Yu approached him and asked softly, ”Is Chef Wang holding a meeting?”

Zhang Conglin glanced at the kitchen situation and replied quietly, ”Yeah, there’s a weekly meeting, but today it’s a bit longer, so there must be something to discuss.”

Seeing this, instead of interrupting, Fu Yu waited at the doorway.

Very considerately, Zhang Conglin brought over a chair for Fu Yu to sit and rest.

After thanking him, Fu Yu sat on the chair, listening with interest to the meeting inside.

Qianlima also frequently held meetings.

Usually, if there was a new activity in the store or some staff changes in the kitchen, Yao Shi would gather everyone in the kitchen for an impromptu meeting.

But Yao Shi’s meetings were always about business, whereas now Wang Yulong seemed excited, and the meeting was dragging longer.

Fu Yu’s curiosity was piqued, and he listened intently to the noise inside.

Because the kitchen door was open, Wang Yulong’s voice could be clearly heard.

”This is the fermented bean curd steamed chicken dish prepared earlier. I hope all of you can stay alert, and besides working diligently every day, spend some time improving your cooking skills!”

”A novice apprentice could make fermented bean curd steamed chicken this authentic, but what about you? You’ve been specifically learning Liu Family Cuisine since you started your career!”

”Forget long-term goals, just this dish, who can achieve such precision in seasoning and timing?”

Wang Yulong looked at the few people before him with an intense desire for improvement.

Besides the helpers, Liu Zhangpeng was the apprentice he personally trained.

With deep love comes strictness!

”Many outside wish to learn Liu Family Cuisine cooking but don’t even get the chance to start. You should appreciate your fortunate position!”

”Look at that newbie, just a few days in, and already learned over ten Liu Family Cuisine dishes. What about you? You have such great conditions and don’t work hard at it, it’s simply...”

Wang Yulong spoke with righteous anger, seemingly wanting to instill his fervent wish for his apprentices to succeed in each of their ears.

Fu Yu, sitting outside, was stunned.

Why did he feel that the person Wang Yulong was talking about sounded familiar, as if he was referring to him?
