Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Capítulo 2299: Chapter 2292: Please Stay Away from Her

Yan Huan and Cheng Yue separated suddenly with a shout of fright in their hearts.

Yan Huan stared in shock at Feng Yuzhi and exclaimed, “Mom! Didn’t you leave? How are you here?”

“If I had left, would I have seen this scene?” Feng Yuzhi stepped forward, grabbed Cheng Yue’s arm, and flung him aside, yelling angrily, “Get lost! Stay away from my daughter!”

“Auntie…” Cheng Yue felt full of guilt upon seeing Feng Yuzhi, “I’m sorry for the way I hurt Yan Huan before, but…”

“No need to explain!” Feng Yuzhi glared at Yan Huan with frustration, stood in front of her, and said coldly to Cheng Yue, “Yan Huan is my daughter! I have always respected her decisions! Although this daughter of mine worries me, and although she’s not young anymore, I really hope she gets married soon! But if that person is you, I’d rather she not marry. Because I don’t trust you!”

“Auntie, I know breaking up with Yan Huan was a mistake, and for these four years, I’ve paid for that wrong decision…” Cheng Yue tried to explain.

“I’m sorry. I can’t see your pain! I only see my daughter’s pain. I only see that after you broke up with her, she pretended to smile in front of others, but secretly cried behind them. I only saw that she lost weight in just a few months! I only knew that she once needed sleeping pills to fall asleep! In her heart, she wanted to give herself to you; she chose you, but you chose your family. This is not your fault; it’s understandable to be filial, but as a mother, I will not forgive you or understand you because of your filial piety! Do you understand? Cheng Yue, clearly, you two are not suitable to be together. When you didn’t have the ability to give my daughter happiness, you entangled her and then left irresponsibly. I can only say sorry… please stay away from her!” Feng Yuzhi finally let out the words that had been pent up inside her for many years, feeling somewhat relieved.

Cheng Yue was speechless, unable to say a complete sentence for a long time.

“Cheng Yue, stay away from my daughter! If I find out you’re bothering her, I’ll make you regret it.” After saying this, Feng Yuzhi tightly grabbed Yan Huan’s wrist and dragged her outside, “Come home with me!”

“Mom! What are you doing?” Yan Huan staggered as she followed Feng Yuzhi, looking back at Cheng Yue, who stood there, emotions silently flowing through his sorrowful eyes, yet he still couldn’t utter a word.

After leaving the hospital, Feng Yuzhi released Yan Huan, “Let’s go home.”

“Mom, I think I should go back to the base.” Yan Huan’s instinct told her that returning home wouldn’t lead to anything good, so she might as well use this as an excuse to slip away.

“Fine! Going back to the base is fine too. But don’t go looking for Cheng Yue! You need to understand that he was the one who chose to give you up, who returned to Jiangning, and to his own home! In his heart, compared to his family, you simply don’t matter!” Feng Yuzhi repeatedly tried to instill this thought into her.

“Mom, don’t say that.” Listening to these words, Yan Huan felt uneasy, “The fault lies with me. If it weren’t for me being stuck in Nancheng, Cheng Yue and I wouldn’t have ended up like this.”

“How is this your fault? Didn’t you go to Jiangning later? And what happened? You almost lost your life!” Feng Yuzhi clutched her chest and tears fell down, “What kind of misfortune is this? How did you get such a bizarre illness?”
