Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2282: Chapter 2275: You Little Traitor

”I’m Yan Huan’s son, not your son!” Ning Chenyang tilted his head, looking at him, ”Don’t even think about dragging me into this mess.”

He might be young, but he’s not stupid at all.

”Yan Huan’s son is my son too,” Cheng Yue said confidently.

”No, he’s not. You two aren’t even married yet!”

Cheng Yue chuckled and patted Ning Chenyang’s little shoulder, asserting, ”It’s only a matter of time!”

Yan Huan will eventually be his woman too!

”Ha! Let’s talk when you actually marry Yan Huan,” Ning Chenyang scoffed, ”I see how my godmother dislikes you so much. Who knows what the future holds!”

”Ah! You little grown-up!” Cheng Yue flicked his forehead, ”But really, thank you for today! Thanks for helping me! But, this kind of thing shouldn’t happen often. You were lucky to bump into someone like me. If you ran into someone with bad intentions and shared so much information, it would be very harmful to both you and Yan Huan. Do you understand?”

”Do you really think I’m that stupid?” Ning Chenyang suddenly retorted.

”What do you mean?” Cheng Yue was puzzled.

”I have a photo of you and mom at home! It’s the one from the lab when you graduated!” Ning Chenyang said, ”So I’ve actually known about you for a while now.”

”Kids these days are something else!” Cheng Yue rubbed his forehead, starting to question his own intelligence today.

...........................

After saying goodbye to Cheng Yue, Ning Chenyang walked back to the Yan Family and found that everyone had returned.

The whole family was bustling around Lin Qiushu, leaving his godmother Yan Huan ignored at the side.

When everyone noticed Ning Chenyang had arrived, they all greeted him warmly.

”Sweetheart! How come you’re here by yourself? Where are your parents?” Feng Yuzhi grabbed a big apple from the table and handed it to him, ”Have an apple, it’s your favorite!”

Ning Chenyang took the apple and bit a chunk off, chewing slowly, ”My mom and dad went to pick up Guangguang! They didn’t take me with them, so they dropped me off here!”

”Oh really? Where are they? Why didn’t they come in?” Feng Yuzhi asked.

”They left a while ago! When I got here, only godmother was at home,” Ning Chenyang said.

”So where did you all go this morning?” Yan Ye asked.

”To the amusement park!”

”But you’re back so early! A round of everything at the amusement park usually takes a whole day!” Lin Qiushu remarked, having been there herself, ”Did you come back early because it wasn’t fun?”

”Well...” Ning Chenyang carefully glanced at Yan Huan’s darkened face, ”You’ll have to ask godmother about that! She was having a great time until a certain Uncle Cheng showed up, and she wasn’t happy anymore...”

”You little traitor!” Yan Huan finally couldn’t hold back, accusing Ning Chenyang, ”You just wait! Next time I take you out to play, I’ll change my last name to yours!”

Just moments ago, Ning Chenyang had been fine, but after Yan Huan chastised him, he immediately hung his head down, ”I’m sorry...”

He only thought that Cheng Yue getting beaten on the bus was pretty unfair, so he...

”Does ’sorry’ even help?” Yan Huan couldn’t believe it, having spent much more time with the kid than Cheng Yue ever did.

This little guy was actually siding with Cheng Yue instead of his own godmother.
