Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2264: Chapter 2259: Mid-Autumn Night

Three months later, the hot summer passed, bringing the full moon of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Every household was gathering together, drinking and enjoying the moon in their yards. However, this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival was not a happy day for the Ning Family.

The table was full of dishes, and the family sat around it with somber faces, tears welling in their eyes.

Because the moon was full but the family was not complete.

The family was missing only one person, Ning Chenguang!

”Mom, when will Guangguang come back?” Ning Chenyang asked cautiously, eyes wide open.

An Hao held back tears, unable to speak.

Suddenly, there was a loud knocking at the door, and An Hao wiped her tears and went to open it.

The moment she opened the door, what unfolded before her startled her.

”Uncle Yan, Auntie, Yan Ye, Yan Huan, Tian Niu, Shuangshuang, Qiushu, Nannan, Dad, An Ping...” An Hao called out each person’s name in turn and suddenly covered her mouth, tears streaming down, ”Why are you all here? Was this planned?”

”Yes! Your day this year is quite special, so we all agreed to come to celebrate Mid-Autumn together! We’re a big family, after all! Celebrating together makes it livelier, doesn’t it?” Feng Yuzhi said with a cheerful smile.

An Hao naturally understood what she meant and gratefully said, ”Come in! Everyone, come in! Let’s celebrate Mid-Autumn happily!”

”Yes, we must celebrate happily! We’ve brought a bunch of good news for you!” Lin Qiushu said, patting her belly.

”Good... good...” An Hao smiled with pursed lips, tears flowing from her eyes.

”Come on! Everyone, come in and sit! Let’s have a lively Mid-Autumn Festival!” Ning Yibin and Zhang Yun also came out to welcome everyone, appreciating their kindness.

There were so many people that one table wasn’t enough, so they divided into two tables.

Feng Yuzhi brought over fish, shrimp, and crabs cooked at her home, filling the tables, ”Everyone, eat freely! Today is full of good news! We’ll eat and share the good news one by one!”

”Alright!” Zhang Yun took out the glasses and set them up, looking at the two full tables of people, ”Come on, who wants to go first? Share a good thing, and have a drink.”

”I’ll start.” Feng Yuzhi picked up her glass and looked at Yan Luquan with a smile, ”We are about to become grandparents!”

After speaking, she raised her head and downed her glass of wine.

Yan Ye held Lin Qiu with deep affection in his eyes, ”Qiushu and I have the fruit of our love!”

”Three months along!” Lin Qiushu smiled sweetly, ”But I can’t drink anymore; he has to drink it, two glasses in a row...”

Next, An Ping raised his glass and loudly announced to everyone in the room, ”My second sister and I are getting married! You’ll have a wedding drink from us at the end of the year!”

”I will soon become a grandfather too!” An Shuchao said with a smile as he picked up his glass.

Yan Huan also raised her glass and said, ”I’ve decided, this year, I’ll make an effort to get myself married off!”

Finally, Tian Niu and Gu Shuangshuang picked up their glasses, smiling at An Hao and Qin Jian, ”I just received news today that someone in Linjiang saw Guangguang being rescued by a family driving a bullock cart... They took the child to see a doctor and said that the child’s father and grandfather were high-ranking officials, planning to take the child to the police station to find his parents! This family has been located, with the surname He!”
