Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2288: Chapter 2281: Mother and Son Reunited

The distance from here to Liang Xiuzhu’s house is really not very far.

The car took no more than five minutes to arrive. As soon as she got out of the car, Liang Xiuzhu hurriedly stood at the door and shouted, ”Fusheng! Hurry up and bring the child out, Guangguang’s parents are here!”

”Sister-in-law, don’t shout anymore, let’s just go inside.” An Hao linked arms with Liang Xiuzhu and followed her straight inside.

Qin Jian was at the back directing the guard Xiaozhou to unload things from the car.

Liu Qiaoqiao stood beside the car watching as these two men moved many large and small bags, including rice, fruits, canned goods, cakes, chicken, duck, fish, meat, and two full large boxes of eggs.

”Wow! Being a leader really means being wealthy!” Liu Qiaoqiao looked with her eyes almost fixed, thinking how great it would be to give this stuff to her family.

While Liu Qiaoqiao was looking at these good things with emotion, Qin Jian and Xiaozhou also entered the yard.

”Xiaozhou, give this sister-in-law two bags of flour and escort her home,” said Qin Jian, deciding to repay the kindness shown to Guangguang.

”Oh, thank you, thank you! I’ll open the door for you.” Liu Qiaoqiao happily jumped three times back to her home to open the door.

Xiaozhou followed Liu Qiaoqiao with the flour, while Qin Jian continued with An Hao and the others into the house.

The courtyard is not big, but it is indeed organized neatly. The east wall is adorned with corn, chilies, and a few garlic braids, while under the west wall are farming tools like plows and hoes. In front of the north house, two peach trees are planted, which are in full blossom with bright red flowers, attracting swarms of bees and butterflies.

An Hao looked at the neatly organized courtyard and her affection for this family increased dramatically.

Someone who can manage their life so well must be a person of great skill and heart.

Entering the north house, a low table is placed in the center, and Ning Chenguang is leaning over the table eating, with a pot of chicken on it. It seems the meat has been eaten, leaving only the broth.

A pile of meat bones is stacked beside Chenguang’s bowl, while the man sitting next to Ning Chenguang eats white rice with a dish of small pickles.

”Fusheng! Guangguang...” Liang Xiuzhu called them sweetly as she saw the pair enjoying their meal, ”See who’s here?”

The older and younger ones quickly turned their heads.

When Ning Chenguang saw Qin Jian and An Hao standing at the door, he dropped his chopsticks with a clang and quickly stood up, staring at An Hao in disbelief.

”Guangguang! My child...” An Hao’s eyes immediately reddened, tears uncontrollably rolling down her cheeks, ”I’m your mom! Mom’s here!”

She opened her arms towards Ning Chenguang, hoping her son would rush into her embrace like a little bird.

”Mom! Mom!” After freezing for a few seconds, Ning Chenguang suddenly rushed towards An Hao, burying his head in her arms and crying.

”Good boy! Darling, I’ve finally seen you! I’ve missed you so much...” An Hao held her child, tears of joy streaming down.

Qin Jian stood beside them, his eyes reddening.

Everyone in the room couldn’t help but be moved, with He Fusheng grinning foolishly as he watched the family reunion, feeling a mix of emotions.

While laughing, his eyes also turned red.

”Go, let your dad hold you!” An Hao released her son, gently pushing him towards Qin Jian.

”Dad!” Ning Chenguang looked up at Qin Jian and called him.

”Good boy! It’s been half a year and you’ve grown quite tall! You look very healthy!” Qin Jian said emotionally, patting Ning Chenguang’s shoulder, ”It’s good to see you’re okay.”

”I’m very well! Uncle He and his family treat me very well.” Ning Chenguang said seriously, ”Dad, we must repay them well!”

”Don’t worry, dad and mom know what to do. You go back to eat first, I need to have a few words with Uncle He. Remember, you should call him Uncle, not Uncle anymore, okay?” Qin Jian instructed the child.
