Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2291: Chapter 2284: Damaged Memories

They really should be leaving now.

The guard Xiaozhou went out to start the car in advance, while Qin Jian took his wife and child into the car, waving goodbye to the He Family.

As soon as Qin Jian and his family left, the villagers who were crowded at the door rushed up, asking He Fusheng enthusiastically.

”What kind of official is he?”

”How much money did he give your family?”

”Is the child taken away now? Did they give you any benefits?”

Liang Xiuzhu found it quite annoying to listen to, so she quickly stepped forward and slammed the door shut: ”All right, everyone disperse! Disperse!”

Back in the house, Liang Xiuzhu saw her husband He Fusheng had opened up all the gifts, including eggs, meat, fruits, cakes, and a huge pile of them, along with several bags of grains and flour.

”My goodness! How much money must this have cost!” He Fusheng exclaimed, ”I’ve never seen so many things in my entire life! This gift is really quite hefty!”

”Hey, Dad, look at this,” Liang Xiuzhu opened the egg carton and found an envelope lying on top of it.

He Fusheng opened the envelope, and inside was a thick wad of cash. He counted it and found there was a full five thousand yuan: ”My gosh! That’s a lot of money, isn’t it?”

Only then did Liang Xiuzhu remember that this money was what An Hao had originally given them, which they had refused.

In the end, they left the money behind anyway.

”Fusheng, do you think that maybe they don’t want to maintain relations with our family in the future, so they gave us so much money?” Liang Xiuzhu, being a woman, tended to think about things in more detail.

There had been similar situations in the village before, so she naturally thought this way.

”I don’t think so. This couple seems nice. I think they’re genuinely grateful to us. How about this, we’ll accept the money, and next time there are some delicious rare things in the village, we’ll take some to them to try!” He Fusheng said.

”Alright! I’ll listen to you!”

........................

The night Ning Chenguang was brought back, the family had a reunion dinner.

That night, Ning Chenguang was stubborn and refused to sleep with his brother, insisting on sleeping between Qin Jian and An Hao the whole night.

The next morning, An Hao didn’t send the child to school, but instead took him directly to the affiliated hospital.

He Fusheng told An Hao that the child’s head had suffered trauma, and sometimes he would forget certain things, otherwise, it wouldn’t have taken so long to find his parents.

This is not a minor issue as it concerns Ning Chenguang’s future, so An Hao must take it seriously.

Following An Hao, Ning Chenguang reached the hospital and went directly to the neurology department to find the most authoritative old military doctor for an examination. After the examination, it was found that his hippocampus had sustained some level of damage.

This means it has caused some damage to his memory function.

So, this is why Ning Chenguang’s memory is sometimes clear, sometimes blurry, and he even completely forgets things. Although this situation seems really strange and they have never encountered such a case before, this is a living example in front of them.

”So, now that he’s regained his memory this time, does that mean he won’t lose it again in the future?” An Hao urgently asked the old military doctor.

”It’s hard to say. Your son’s situation is extremely rare; we’ve never seen anything like it, so the child might still have memory loss again...” the old military doctor replied.

”Is this similar to the fish’s memory being only seven seconds long?” An Hao asked eagerly.
