Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2279: Chapter 2272: You’re Blushing

”What does it matter to you if I’ve changed or not?” Yan Huan felt uneasy the moment she thought of Shen Qiqi.

Since there was an engagement between the two of them, why was he still bothering her?

So, Yan Huan didn’t respond to him kindly.

”Can we talk?” Cheng Yue had shrugged off Shen Qiqi to find this opportunity to speak a few words with Yan Huan.

”There’s nothing to talk about.” Yan Huan pushed him away and stood straight, ”Stand back and stay away from me, I don’t want your fiancée to have any misunderstandings about me.”

”Fiancée?” Cheng Yue was slightly taken aback, ”Are you referring to Shen Qiqi?”

”Who else besides her?” Yan Huan cast a sidelong glance at him with her beautiful eyes.

”You’ve got it wrong.” Cheng Yue coughed lightly twice, ”No wonder your attitude towards me is so bad. She is not my fiancée, we are not in that kind of relationship!”

”She told me herself! There’s an engagement between you two!”

”That Shen Qiqi! She was lying to you! Don’t believe her!” Cheng Yue quickly clarified.

Yan Huan ignored Cheng Yue and continued, ”She also said that the marriage between the two of you has been tacitly approved by both families!”

”Did she really say that? She just loves to stir up trouble!” Cheng Yue irritably tugged at his own hair, ”She’s just a small girl, a spoiled brat, so whatever she wants, her family lets her have. That’s just her wishful thinking, not how I feel!”

”Then what do you mean?” Yan Huan suddenly looked up and asked him.

”I mean...”

Before Cheng Yue could finish his sentence, Yan Huan abruptly interrupted him, saying to herself, ”It doesn’t matter what you mean anymore!”

Four years ago, even when Shen Qiqi wasn’t in the picture, the two of them couldn’t be together.

Four years later, with Shen Qiqi between them, it was even more difficult.

Thinking back, although she had been the one to give up on Cheng Yue, he hadn’t exactly tried hard to salvage the relationship either.

Even if he came back now, what difference would it make? To be honest, she didn’t have faith in Cheng Yue.

”Yan Huan! I know you have opinions about me! The purpose of my return is to be with you.” From the first moment he saw Yan Huan again, he wanted to say this.

And now, he finally had the chance to say it.

”Sorry! I have no such intentions! Go back to where you came from! Don’t say these things to me, or I might just waste your time!” Yan Huan said coldly, her gaze wistfully looking out the window.

”I know this might be hard for you to accept! But this time, I’ve come back after overcoming many obstacles! Four years ago, I failed our relationship, but this time, no matter how rough the road ahead, I won’t give up.” Cheng Yue asserted his determination after talking to Yan Huan for quite a while.

”Whatever! I’m not going to accept you anyway!” Yan Huan glared at him, shifted to the side, and pulled the distance between them back.

Cheng Yue smiled, then moved closer again, narrowing the distance between them.

Yan Huan could only feel someone sticking to her back, the scent from his body subtly entered her nose.

It was so fresh and pleasant that it made her blush and her heart race involuntarily.

Oh Yan Huan! How can you be so useless!

She silently scolded herself, turned her head to look at Cheng Yue, and found a mischievous smile on his lips.

”Yan Huan, you’re blushing! You’re such a liar!”

Having been seen through by him, Yan Huan felt somewhat embarrassed and angry, ”Move back, away from me!”

”No!”

”Move back!”

”No!” Cheng Yue smiled smugly, leaned close to her burning ear, ”Actually, you’ve always had a place for me in your heart, haven’t you? You really did yearn for my return!”
