Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2253: Chapter 2248: This Woman Is Suspicious

”I understand!” Ning Chenguang nodded.

Yuan Yunong believed that the child understood. When he said she was his mom, she knew Ning Chenguang had figured something out.

A highly intelligent child is just that smart!

But right now, this kind of smartness is a threat to Yuan Yunong.

So, she has to be hundred percent vigilant around this clever child.

”Since that’s the case, then you just keep going!” Yuan Yunong turned around, started the car, and continued driving forward.

In just a moment, the car reached the roadblock, and the police stopped them.

”What’s the matter, officer?” Yuan Yunong didn’t turn off the engine, she just put the car in neutral.

”We need to check your vehicle!” the police officer said, ”Please step out of the car!”

”What are you checking for? It’s so dark and scary at night! Is there an escaped convict or something? I’m just taking my son to see the doctor, I haven’t done anything wrong, right?” Yuan Yunong put on a face of innocence.

”Step out of the car first!”

This was another police officer looking inside through the window, seeing a child in the back seat: ”Who are you? What’s your name?”

”Officer! My name is Ning Chenguang! I’m also a commander in the Northern Military Region! My dad is Qin Jian, he’s a regiment leader! He’s my teacher, she wants to sell me and my brother! Officer, save me!” Ning Chenguang suddenly shouted loudly.

He knew this was an opportunity, and when it came, he had to seize it.

”What? Isn’t this the person we’re looking for?” The police officer’s face changed drastically, sternly berating Yuan Yunong, ”Get out of the car! Get out of the car now!”

Yuan Yunong was worried about this, which is why she stopped the car but didn’t turn off the engine. If she noticed anything amiss, she’d shift gear and speed off with a foot on the gas.

”Quick! Get her! This woman is suspicious!”

On the road, a pursuit began.

Yuan Yunong drove the car fast, thinking about the recent scene, she became furious beyond words.

It seems things aren’t going smoothly with the scar-faced guy either; he must have been stopped.

”You’ve got some nerve! Daring to lie to me!” Yuan Yunong gritted her teeth and shouted angrily.

Ning Chenguang responded with his childish voice: ”Teacher, didn’t you lie to us too? You want to sell me and my brother, right? Why are you doing this?”

”Because I hate your parents! Your parents killed my brother, I want revenge for my brother! Only by taking you away, will your parents be heartbroken! This is the best revenge on them!” Yuan Yunong vented all her anger on the child.

Ning Chenguang didn’t speak anymore, his little hand clenched tightly, feeling the threat.

The road ahead leads to another checkpoint, though the Skinny Monkey is paving the way ahead, they won’t crash through many barriers.

If they get out now, it will only be a dead end!

Yuan Yunong made a decisive decision, she stopped the car, knocked Ning Chenguang unconscious with a slap, and dragged him into the lush cornfield by the roadside.

The police chased for a long time, but finally caught up with an empty car.

They were extremely angry and had no choice but to abandon the car and search!

.........

As dawn broke, after a night of hurried travel, Hua Jin finally brought An Hao to the banks of Linjiang.

There was already a boat waiting for them there.
