Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 450: Chapter 450: Digging a Pit for Her

”I won’t lend it. I can’t lend it,” An Hao slowly said.

”Sister-in-law! And to think I call you sister-in-law! You can’t be this petty!” Qin Feng stomped her foot in anger.

”This isn’t about being petty. This is about your future. I can’t be so reckless!” Qin Feng had lost her reason; she couldn’t afford to.

”If you’re not being petty, then what is it? You are just petty! You received so much money from my brother for your engagement, and you’ve kept it all to yourself. Now when I want to borrow some money, you won’t give it to me! Do you even deserve to be my sister-in-law?” Qin Feng’s words were like knives, hurting with every utterance.

Seeing how clueless Qin Feng was, An Hao also became unhappy, ”Fine, if I’m not suited to be your sister-in-law, go find someone else who is to borrow money from. Don’t ask me! I’m not giving it to you! You have the nerve to ask your brother for it, why don’t you ask him? Do I need to spell it out for you?”

”I...” Qin Feng was left speechless, her attitude no longer as assertive. Frowning, her face swollen, she grabbed An Hao’s hand and pleaded, ”Sister-in-law, dear sister-in-law! Please give me the money! I can’t ask my family for it. I’m afraid it’ll be the death of my father. He heard that my brother married you without telling him and was so angry he vomited blood twice. He’s been coughing and can’t get out of bed these past days. My mother is worried sick; if I tell them about this, I’m afraid the house will be turned upside down.”

”Vomiting blood? How could anyone vomit blood just like that?” An Hao was taken aback.

”It was because of you two,” replied Qin Feng.

”Nonsense. How can a person in good health just vomit blood because of anger?” An Hao disliked Qin Feng’s habit of making baseless accusations.

”Alright, sister-in-law, let’s not talk about that now. Just help me solve my problem first,” Qin Feng was almost frantic.

An Hao knew she couldn’t persuade Qin Feng. The issue might not seem significant, but weighed heavily on a girl like her.

She couldn’t let Qin Feng act recklessly, it might lead to a disaster later on.

Moreover, if she took matters into her own hands now, the Qin Family might harbor even more resentment against her if they found out later.

Qin Feng wasn’t here to ask for help, she clearly came to set a trap!

Whether she jumped into the trap or not, Qin Feng wouldn’t be happy.

”Qin Feng, I stand firm in my opinion. Since you don’t want to discuss it with the family, then talk it over with your brother. If he agrees for you to have the surgery to abort the child, I won’t say a word and will pay for it, even your post-surgery nutrition. But if your brother doesn’t agree, I definitely can’t give it to you. Do you want to go in and ask your brother?” An Hao said.

Qin Feng came to An Hao precisely because she dared not ask Qin Jian.

If An Hao didn’t give her the money, how else could she go through with aborting the child?

Qin Feng pondered internally, besides the surgery, what other ways could there be to end the pregnancy?

If it came down to it, she would resort to a medical abortion!

Or, she had seen others lose a child by taking a fall, or by hitting their stomach hard. If all else failed, she could take some laxatives and hope for an upset stomach.

Watching the subtle changes in Qin Feng’s expression, An Hao guessed she must be thinking of some sly scheme.

So, An Hao decided to give her a stern warning in advance, to prevent any real trouble: ”I have a word of advice for you; don’t do anything foolish. It’s your body, and nobody else can suffer the consequences for you. There have been plenty of cases where illegal abortion methods have led to death. If you don’t want to risk hemorrhage and bleeding to death, you absolutely must go to a legitimate hospital.”
