Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

He was a man who disliked trouble, and having room in his heart for just one woman was enough for him.

”Uh... it won’t work.” An Hao frowned, visibly dismayed as she glanced at the book in her hands, ”I couldn’t attend Professor Yan’s class this afternoon, it got rescheduled to the evening! I have to go to class now.”

”Roughly what time will the class end today?” If it wasn’t too late, he could wait for her.

”About two hours. Around nine o’clock! How about, you wait for me?” She hadn’t seen him in a long time and missed him dearly.

”Alright. I’ll wait for you. I’ll come back after two hours,” Qin Jian agreed.

”That’s great!” An Hao leaped up in excitement, wrapped her arms around his neck, and kissed his lips. Just as he was about to respond, she playfully pushed him away with a laugh, ”I’m off! See you later!”

Watching her bouncing figure disappear, Qin Jian raised his hand and caressed his lips, the tickling sensation that swept over them like a feather touch vanishing without a trace in an instant.

The little thing really knew how to surprise him unexpectedly!

However, if she kept teasing him like this, he really couldn’t guarantee that in the future he’d be able to wait until their wedding night to...

Qin Jian suddenly realized that his once-prided self-control seemed to be getting worse.

Marriage—never had he longed for it as intensely as he did today...

.........

With her books in a hurry, An Hao made her way to the anatomy building.

Yes, that’s right! The class scheduled for tonight was none other than anatomy!

She hadn’t expected Yan Ye to teach their systematic anatomy course this semester, the subject that scared her the most and about which she was most worried!

As a medical student, anatomy was one of the compulsory courses, and she had to overcome her fear no matter how frightened she was.

They had already had a few sessions of anatomy, and she had performed fairly well, but each time she saw the ”chief lecturer” lying on the dissection table, she couldn’t help feeling a bit queasy.

Even with her unease, she had to face it head-on—this was the path she chose. Recalling the scene of her mother’s last breath, a surge of strength spontaneously rose within her!

She wanted to become a surgeon! To become an outstanding surgeon!

An Hao arrived in the classroom to find herself the last one there.

Yan Ye had already changed into his white lab coat, ready to demonstrate with a scalpel in hand.

Guan Kexin, timid as a mouse, was standing right at the front, watching his sharp scalpel touch the skin of the cadaver.

There had been several practice sessions before, and the cadavers used were all retrieved from formalin solution.

Soaked for a long time, the only scent lingering around the nostrils when the sharp blade cut the skin was that of the pungent formalin solution.

But today’s cadaver was different—it was a fresh body.

As soon as the blade cut through, red blood immediately welled up, and the smell of fresh blood spread through the air.

Mixed with the odor of formalin, they rushed into the nostrils, making it hard not to retch.

More unbearable than the smell was the bloody sight.

”Ugh...” Even someone as brave as Gu Wushuang couldn’t stand it, and the moment she saw the chest cavity being opened, her stomach churned, and she bent over the sink, vomiting violently.

After her, one by one, the students rushed to the side of the sink.

An Hao also felt extremely uncomfortable in her stomach, but she forced herself to shift her focus, not allowing herself to think about the nausea.
