Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 419: Chapter 419 The Frank and Upright Man

”Teacher Yan, let me introduce you! This is my fiancé!” An Hao took the initiative to introduce Qin Jian to Yan Ye.

”We’ve met.” Yan Ye hooked the corner of his mouth, his gaze landing on Qin Jian’s face, ”I know why you’re here today. Let me just say it outright. I admit that I had a bit of a thing for An Hao! I’m a straightforward person and don’t like hiding anything. But once I learned that An Hao was engaged, I gave up on these thoughts. The rumors at school are just that, rumors, and I’ll take care of clearing them up. Please do not let these things cause An Hao any distress! She’s an exceptionally thoughtful and unique girl!”

Yan Ye’s bluntness took Qin Jian by surprise; he hadn’t expected him to confess his feelings for An Hao right in front of him.

”Is this an indirect confession?” Qin Jian frowned.

”I’m a straightforward person, I don’t like to hide my thoughts,” Yan Ye said.

”Fine. Since you’re being so frank. Let me also be direct, please remember your identity as a teacher at all times and places, and focus only on teaching and solving students’ problems! An Hao is my future wife, and of course I will treat her well! There’s no need for Teacher Yan to worry about that,” Qin Jian said calmly.

”Fine.” Yan Ye said very relieved, ”Don’t worry, Staff Officer Qin, I, Yan Ye, am also a man of integrity and will definitely not undermine you.”

”Then I thank you for your integrity. Since this issue was caused by you, Teacher Yan, I hope you can clear this matter up thoroughly and make sure An Hao doesn’t suffer from the fallout,” Qin Jian said coldly.

Yan Ye pursed his lips and nodded.

Seeing that they had finished their conversation, An Hao said to Yan Ye, ”Thank you for your fondness, Teacher Yan! But my heart only has room for Qin Jian! If we meet again, you will still be the teacher I respect! Goodbye, Teacher Yan!”

”Goodbye!” Yan Ye struggled to lift the corners of his mouth to force a slight smile.

After leaving the principal’s office, Qin Jian’s brows were furrowed the entire time, feeling displeased in his heart.

His little wife had been coveted by someone else, and it made him feel extremely uncomfortable.

Although he knew that a girl named Guan Kexin had made malicious slander, the fact that Yan Ye himself had admitted to it caused him great anxiety.

The thought of his little wife having to face her admirer every day made Qin Jian’s heart burn with unease.

He was really getting impatient to marry his little wife and save her from others’ covetous glances.

It seemed that no matter how busy he was in the future, he would have to make time to visit the school more often.

That way, he could also be aware of his little wife’s movements.

Qin Jian and An Hao walked hand in hand through the school very publicly, and with Yan Ye’s subsequent handling of the issue, the matter simmered down.

After Guan Kexin went home and met with her grandfather before returning, she learned that An Hao was actually going to be Commander Ning’s future daughter-in-law. Then she was shocked into silence and dared not trouble An Hao anymore.

Life was peacefully quiet for a while, and An Hao earnestly studied for more than a month, soon welcoming her first winter break as a college student.

On the last day before vacation, everyone was packing up and ready to head home, but An Hao was an exception.

Qin Jian still had to work in the military and wouldn’t be able to take an early break. Moreover, Zhang Yun and Ning Yibin definitely would not allow Qin Jian to return to the village for the New Year this year.

So for An Hao, this lengthy winter vacation was actually a substantial separation.
