Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 444: Chapter 444 Like a Hungry Wolf, Like a Fierce Tiger

This body doesn’t even feel like mine anymore.

All because of Qin Jian! Last night, he was simply like a starving wolf, a fierce tiger...

An Hao rushed into the bathroom to hurriedly wash her face and brush her teeth, changed her clothes, and went downstairs without even having time to make the bed.

She was halfway down the stairs when she heard the noise of pots and pans being tidied downstairs, mixed with Zhang Yun’s voice.

The voice wasn’t loud, but it was clear enough to reach An Hao’s ears: ”I’ve simmered red date porridge in the pot for An Hao and left some eggs too. Make sure she eats more when she wakes up.”

”I got it.”

Zhang Yun paused, then added, ”If An Hao wakes up later, you should take a good look at your bed and hammer in the nails properly. Your dad has a hard time sleeping, and the slightest noise will wake him up.”

”The bed?” Qin Jian was slightly surprised.

Seeing that her son hadn’t caught on, Zhang Yun turned her head and smiled at him, ”Nevermind, it’s nothing. You rarely get a holiday; go rest for a bit. Don’t overexert yourself.”

Indeed, a bed that was hastily put together just wasn’t reliable! It seems she would need to find someone to fix it.

Qin Jian was completely engrossed in that matter yesterday, only focusing on savoring the flavor of his little wife, without noticing what was wrong with the bed at all.

So, when Zhang Yun mentioned it, he didn’t understand what she meant.

But An Hao knew. Last night, the bed creaked and groaned for most of the night. The wooden floors in this house probably made the noise louder, and must have kept his parents downstairs awake, right?

It’s really... so embarrassing!

It was getting late, and Qin Jian planned to go upstairs to see how An Hao was sleeping and if she’d had enough sleep.

There were many people helping out with the wedding yesterday. Today they needed to pay them a visit in return; they couldn’t afford to get up too late.

He had just reached the stairs when he saw An Hao standing in the middle of the staircase. Her face was as red as a ripe apple, and she was staring resentfully at him.

”What’s this about? Glaring at me first thing in the morning,” Qin Jian moved up a few steps, wanting to embrace An Hao, but she pushed him away.

Qin Jian was taken aback but heard An Hao complaining in a barely audible whisper, ”It’s all your fault! I told you to keep it down yesterday.”

”Blame me, blame me all you want!” Qin Jian said with a laugh, ”It’s just that my wife is too beautiful, making me lose control again and again.”

”Where did that self-control you soldiers pride yourselves on go?” An Hao grumbled, ”It runs away at the crucial moments...”

”Heroes have always struggled to resist the charms of a beauty.”

An Hao clenched her small fists and pounded on his chest, ”Making excuses!”

Qin Jian swiftly grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his arms, holding her tight and whispering in her ear, ”Let’s say I’m making excuses then! How about that? Are you feeling uncomfortable today?”

”Do you think I would feel good?” An Hao turned her head to the side, her face flushed, ”You were like a starving wolf yesterday... never getting enough...”

Qin Jian cleared his throat with a soft cough and smiled, ”Tonight I promise not to do it so many times.”

”Ah? There’s a tonight? Spare me, please.” Heaven knows how tired her body felt now.

Seeing his little wife overwhelmed, Qin Jian pursed his lips and smiled.

”Still laughing.” An Hao pushed him away, ”That’s enough, stop holding me. If mom sees us again, it’ll be so embarrassing.”

It’s always what you fear that comes true.

Zhang Yun just happened to be coming out of the kitchen and saw An Hao pushing Qin Jian away on the staircase and heard their previous conversation.

For a moment, her old face felt some embarrassment too.
