Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 411: Chapter 411: Give You a Chance to Thank Me

”Guan Kexin, don’t think everyone is blind to your little tricks. I’m well aware of them. No matter what you’re thinking, there’s something I need to tell you. If you want to win someone’s heart, you must first earn their respect! Pettiness and jealousy will only lead you further astray! Some things don’t need to be spelled out; we both know what they are!” An Hao knew about the relationship between Guan Kexin and Yan Ye.

She didn’t want to explain any further. Yan Ye must have seen everything clearly just now, otherwise, he wouldn’t have intervened so swiftly.

If Yan Ye was intent on shielding Guan Kexin, any defense she could offer would be useless.

But if Yan Ye was fair, she believed he would provide a satisfying answer.

”Guan Kexin, have you had enough of this nonsense? This is the first and last time. If I see any more of your shenanigans, especially during my class, I will show you no mercy! Don’t even mention your grandfather is a regimental commander—not even the Commander would be acceptable! I’m letting this go for now, but if there’s a next time, I’ll report you directly to the school.” Yan Ye scolded Guan Kexin without restraint.

Seeing that Yan Ye reprimanded her in front of An Hao, Guan Kexin felt even more aggrieved in her already upset heart.

”Yan Ye, I hate you!” She cried out, raising her arms to cover her face as she ran out sobbing.

After Guan Kexin had run out, Yan Ye looked at An Hao with an apologetic expression, ”I’m sorry; you probably know a little about our relationship. This child has been spoiled, and she’s still like this even after starting school! What happened today was too dangerous; thankfully, it didn’t turn into a disaster! I apologize to you on her behalf!”

”It’s okay!” An Hao smiled, ”You’ve already paid the price for her willfulness.”

Yan Ye, who was usually serious and unsmiling, smiled as he shook his hand, ”You’re right, this is the consequence!”

Having treated the wound, An Hao took a deep breath of relief.

But she still felt somewhat sorry; after all, it was said that a surgeon’s hands are incredibly valuable.

Yan Ye was a renowned surgeon in the city and had to perform operations in addition to teaching.

Now that his hand was injured, it would undoubtedly affect his surgeries.

He might be unable to perform surgeries for several days.

”Teacher Yan, will this impact your surgeries...” An Hao raised her eyes to look at him, her large eyes brimming with unease and concern.

”It won’t.” Yan Ye tugged at the corner of his mouth, ”In fact, I should thank you, because with this injury, I can now take a few days off.”

An Hao felt extremely embarrassed upon hearing this. She said to Yan Ye with a giggly smile, ”I’m grateful to Teacher Yan for taking the hit for me. But if you’re really thankful, you should thank Guan Kexin. If it weren’t for her, you wouldn’t have been stabbed on my behalf!”

Yan Ye raised an eyebrow, ”I’ll accept the first part. The second part, though...”

He chose to ignore.

An Hao was taken aback for a moment before realizing that Teacher Yan was hoping she would appreciate his favor.

”Teacher Yan, I am very grateful to you!” An Hao thanked him sincerely.

No matter the prior circumstances, the outcome was he had taken a knife for her.

Even though it was due to Guan Kexin’s jealousy, and her jealousy originated from Yan Ye himself.

”Good,” Yan Ye nodded and said to An Hao, ”There’s an opportunity right now for you to show your gratitude. Would you like to take it?”

”Please go ahead, Teacher Yan!”
