Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1839: Chapter 1841: I’m Rich and Righteously So

Born as humans, who doesn’t want a lifetime of comfort and freedom? There are indeed people who want to live a mundane and unremarkable life. To put it nicely, they lack ambition and are content with being ordinary, but to put it bluntly, they are unwilling to strive.

Speaking of the satisfaction of financial independence, take Little Yu for example, can’t her current bun shop support her entire family’s living expenses?

She could easily run just one shop, comfortably manage the day’s business, and then eat or sleep, spend time with her family and children, so why bother to expand and open branches?

It’s all because of dissatisfaction. When things are good, we think of doing even better.

This comes from seeing more, broadening one’s horizons, realizing that the heights one has reached can go up another level. Therefore, comes the struggle, constantly expanding one’s business, and fighting for it.

It’s precisely because one is no longer content with plainness that they let the heart swelled with desire grow wildly.

”In reality, yes, we do it for money, but more importantly, it’s because we want to, we enjoy it.” Cheng Su gave a sly wink and said, ”Don’t you think, working hard to earn money, to strive, for your family, for yourself, is very delightful? Especially when you reach the height you set for yourself, proving that your efforts have paid off, doesn’t that sense of satisfaction feel very swelled and vain?”

She had an expression of ’I made money, I’m justified, and I’m proud’!

Little Yu snorted with laughter: ”You’ve broadened my perspective again. No one talks about making money like you do. They always put on an air of self-sacrifice for someone else!”

Cheng Su snorted lightly, ”Of course, our hard work to make money is to be justified and joyful for ourselves, isn’t it?”

Little Yu nodded, it was indeed true. She also felt very happy to earn money, seeing her family living well because of her made her feel especially satisfied and vain.

She realized she could rely on her own hands to let her family live a good life. Just this kind of mental comfort filled her with strength.

”I wonder if I’ll stop when I don’t lack anything anymore,” Little Yu contemplated her future and sighed.

”You won’t stop, as long as desire is there, you can’t stop,” Cheng Su shrugged, ”Besides, there’s no need to stop. Of course, if you want to return to a simple life, then surely you will stop. But I guess, by then you’ll be quite old, won’t you?”

Little Yu thought about it and figured it would indeed be that way.

”Alright, let’s not go that far. So, the current situation has been told to you, what do you think?” Little Yu returned to the business at hand.

”Of course, I support it,” Cheng Su smiled, ”The bigger your bun shop gets, the bigger my dividends will become in the future!”

Little Yu shot her a glance, took out an envelope from her bag, and said, ”Even though the dividends aren’t much, since it’s the New Year, we have to have something, just for good luck. I’m planning to open the shop after the New Year; right now, we should start the renovation slowly.”

”Then I thank you!” Cheng Su took it and asked, ”How’s your aunt who joined the franchise doing?”

Little Yu replied, ”What can I say, the conditions are all laid out there. They either agree or not, but it can’t be helped. The shop is mine, even my parents-in-law can’t argue with that! In the end, they had to give the money honestly!”

She said it lightly, but Cheng Su knew there must have been some friction in the process, so she remarked, ”You being strong and assertive enables you to stand upright and no one can do anything to you. Even with your in-laws, they should know what you’ve contributed to this family, wherever you go, you can stand firm! So, there’s no need to cater to anyone’s attitude; you stand with pride!”

Little Yu pressed her lips together and nodded resolutely.
