Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1830: Chapter 1832: Not Allowed to Give Birth?

After Jiang Dafang left, Ning Ge still sat on the sofa, touching his chin, lost in thought for a while. After a moment, he pressed the intercom and asked his special assistant to come in.

”Here, go coordinate with Fangzheng and get the paperwork done!” Ning Ge handed the equity document on the table to his secretary, and then asked, ”Also, has anyone from Shen’s come?”

The secretary thought for a moment and said, ”President Shen, that is, Shen Qizheng, still wants to meet with you.”

Ning Ge’s slender fingers lightly tapped on his cheek and said, ”On that day when there is no schedule, arrange the meeting!”

The secretary was taken aback. She thought Ning Ge would continue to refuse, so why the sudden change?

But she was just a subordinate. When the boss gives an order, she just arranges it, nodding in agreement.

Ning Ge then asked her to go over the upcoming schedule, expressed understanding, and only then did he let her leave while he continued pondering Jiang Dafang’s words.

Indeed, having a poisonous snake watching by one’s side is quite bothersome. Chiang Qing, she must be completely stopped.

...

Chiang Qing, who was being talked about by Ning Ge, sneezed twice after leaving the hospital, involuntarily tightening the wool coat around her.

She looked up at the sky, a stretch of blue, the ginkgo trees along the street were golden and only just starting to shed their leaves. Winter hadn’t even arrived, so why did she feel this kind of cold!

Was it because of her test results, the doctor’s verdict?

Without a trace of emotion, Chiang Qing retracted her gaze, got into the car, and ordered it to return to the villa. As the car started moving, she coldly watched the ginkgo trees planted on the roadside flash by.

She came to the hospital for a check-up, actually prompted by Shen Rong’s second wife’s provocation, because a few days ago, that woman told Shen Rong she was pregnant. Heaven knows, that woman was already forty years old, and at such an age, she could still get pregnant, whereas she...

When Shen Rong went back to celebrate with the second wife, she couldn’t bear it and went to the hospital to get a detailed gynecological check-up.

But when the report came out, although her body had once miscarried, and having a child might be difficult, theoretically speaking, without contraception, it shouldn’t have taken so long, especially since she was only in her thirties.

If a forty-year-old woman could conceive, why couldn’t she? Shen Rong had been with her long enough, hadn’t he?

Yet the fact remained: the other woman got pregnant, and her own belly showed no movement.

Chiang Qing thought it was because her miscarriage had harmed her body, needing care, but the doctor said she had taken contraceptive medicine?

How was that possible? She wanted a child as a safeguard, so how could she have taken such medicine.

She insisted she hadn’t, but with the blood test and the diagnosis from a renowned old Chinese medicine practitioner, she indeed had.

Chiang Qing was stunned. Confronted with such ’evidence’, she suddenly recalled Shen Rong’s ’thoughtfulness’.

Before, after they had been intimate, Shen Rong would always order servants to bring some herbal soup to her. Even normally, she would receive various tonics to consume, and whenever she coaxed Shen Rong to spend time with her, this continued intermittently.

So, had she been consuming contraceptive medication since then, continuing to this day?

Those beneficial tonics and soups were all doctored?

So when she talked of wanting a child, Shen Rong’s expression was so inscrutable; was this the real reason?

Why did he give her such medication; he didn’t want a child, or didn’t want this child to be hers? Why?

Chiang Qing’s expression became exceedingly sinister. Ultimately, for what reason, wouldn’t he let her give birth!
